+ -1 moreGreat except for promptness of stump grinding and knowledge of bidding by owner as well as his stump removal thoroughness.. All company employees were very experienced, hard working, considerate guys.
Description of Work: We had half of a huge old tree fall on the roof of our 2.5 story house on of the hottest, most miserable days of the year. We called another contractor recommended by someone who had done tree work for us before and he turned out to be a raging, temper tantrum throwing jerk. In desperation I looked in the phone book and called these guys. They responded immediately, gave us a very fair estimate and proceeded to very carefully remove the tree from the roof w/o causing further damage to the house, lowering pieces of huge branches with rope from the highest reaches of the boom truck, not gouging the lawn. They cut the pieces into firewood, chipped all the small branches and leaves and eventually ground the stump. They took photos for insurance purposes of the whole procedure. They also cleaned up the part of the tree that had to be taken down by the power company as well as chipping and stacking that part. If I had any complaint it is that the owner of the company showed up late to do his part, gave us a hideous estimate for stump grinding in comparison to the price of the rest of the job given by his foreman. We negotiated on this and he made adjustments. He showed up very late to grind stumps, thus couldn't see what he was doing after dark, resulting in an incomplete removal of the stump and roots. Based on the expert work of his crew we hired them several weeks later to trim the remaining trees in the yard and the crew again did a great job. I highly recommend Rob and Ken, the foreman and the boom operator...great guys! The owner of the company seemed at the time to not be in the same league as the people he was fortunate enough to hire. Since that was over a year ago, I'm hoping he's improved. I'd definitely hire Rob and Ken again to do any future tree work.

+ -1 moreThey do phenomenal work. They are right on time. We had half of a tree split and fall on our house. It takes some real skill to take that off the house without any real damage. They had to use a boom truck. The man that ran that was phenomenal. He took all the branches off and lowered it to the ground so there was no other damage. They did it strategically so that eventually, because the tree had not broken off it had just split, that with all that weight off it kinda sprung back up enough that he could take the giant branches off and lower those down. Just unbelievable. We also had them take a few other ancient trees down and some other maintenance and trimming and some stump removal.
Description of Work: They removed a tree that had fallen on our house.
