The work was done properly and when some additional jobs were added, Mr Grant went out of his way to get subcontractor's in to fix the added jobs promptly. I was very happy with the results and would recommend Steven Grant Construction to anyone who needed a prompt quote and a properly done job. He took the extra steps to finish my job within the quote so I stayed on budget.

The service was excellent! Steven was very responsive, and very quick on providing a solution.

We hired Steve because of the positive ratings here on Angie's List. We are baffled by how others rated his work as wonderful. He is a big fan of using silicone to fill gaps vs accurate workmanship. Example; the first picture is of the door trim cut too short on both sides. His intent was to fill these gap with silicone, we talked, he cut new trim to fit correctly. Each picture has more versions of the same through out. The cracks (which he promised would not happen when he was trying to tell me why he liked using the silicone so much), developed within days and weeks of completion. Yes, he offered to fix, but we declined for two reasons, 1) We had talked SEVERAL times DURING the work regarding our expectations from a professional and subsequent shortcomings, you can see the results in the pictures. 2) As such, we had no confidence in his abilities and fixed the issues ourselves. There were more issues, too many to list, but some are..... the three column bookcase he built is without symmetry, it has three different widths, shelves are not interchangeable. Several flooring planks are visible at the baseboard due to being cut too short. Wrong paint was purchased (we caught this because we were compelled to become our own vanguards of his quality). Several communication issues between Steve and his drywall/painter crew, and also the electrical contractor. Each grade has valid reasons why the grade was assigned, rated the price as "D" because we did not receive the professional job we paid for.

Steve was AMAZING to work with. Very responsible, respectful, and professional. I will definitely give him a call when I need work done in the future!

Steve is always prompt. He comes when he says he will and continues on the job until finished. He communicates well with you regarding the materials and cost and is always willing to go above and beyond for you. His costs are reasonable and his workmanship excellent. I highly recommend.

Steve did great with getting things done, there was so much to do but he always communicated with me what he was doing, and when he would be here. He had great input and even though it was winter he accomplished all we asked. Steve is very considerate about listening to my questions and concerns and he follows through on everything. He is a man of his word and I am glad he did the job, I trust Steve.

Steve did a wonderful job on my bathroom remodel. He listened to my ideas and implemented them perfectly. I love my new bathroom, with the new crown molding and wainscoting. He was timely and got the job done quickly and efficiently and worked within my budget! He has done other work for me in the past including a whole house remodel, and has always been professional, quick, efficient and affordable!

I had a great experience using Steve Grant construction. I was replacing my front door. Steve did everything from pick up my door selection at the store to adding the trim work after it was fully installed. While removing the old door and frame he found some of the support had some decay and rot, so he took the time to replace and re-support the area before installing the new door. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and price for the services rendered. I would definitely recommend him to a friend.

I did not set a specific deadline so that I would get an excellent job. This was the second job that Steve had done with cement board siding. (The first was some trim on a new bank branch.) The critical skill on the project was the installers who were both experienced, careful carpenters. The only delays were getting the prepainted cement board from James Hardie. They were quite late on their estimated delivery times and the project had to be stopped several times. I do recommend a draining housewrap like the Green Guard since it is almost impossible to keep all water outside the siding. I picked Steve because he was easy to work with an I was very pleased with the work. I heartily recommend Steve Grant Construction for cement board siding installation.

Steve completed all of the work in a timely manner at the agreed upon price. Almost a year later, I am still very happy with the trim work completed in my house. The fence was completed June 2011 and thus far I am very pleased with the results. Steve was very easy to work with. I also like how Steve provided a variety of suggestions and options for me to consider that I would not have thought of on my own.
