Nordines installed a direct vent Fireplace in November of 2017. They were not very abrupt when calling to schedule the date for install not looking at our availability. Basically stating they will be at our house on this date to install. The installers were very courteous and polite - no problems with them. However, winter set in and as we all know we had a very cold winter. The room with the fireplace had a terrible draft coming thru the newly installed fireplace. I called many times to talk to someone with no returned phone calls. I finally was able to talk to Tom and he gave me a couple things for check. Well that didnt solve it. Back to trying to contact Nordines and the same routine - left several messages including test messages - no replies. Well received a call from them stating we owed the the second half of the installation - I was busy and thought well OK and had them charge it to my credit card in Mid Jan 2018 - Now remember I still have not heard from them on fixing my draft problem. Well I gave them an earful and they finally sent someone out. Now for the BIG problem - I downloaded all my checking and credit card info for 2017 to prepare for my taxes and ran across my payment to pay for the installation in FULL in November 2017 the day it was completed. I have been trying to get my $2300+ back ever since today is March 4, 2018. I was told FOUR time it was in the mail - I have not received my refund. I must have called 2-3 times a week talking to the secretary. I finally got a call back from Tom on March 2nd after I left a message I was on my way to the office - he said he mailed the check on Thursday March 1st- I dont think it takes 2 days for the USPS to deliver a check in the same city!!!!

Actual install went fine other than having outside air coming in through control panel. Install was completed in November 2017. Half was paid at the time the appt was made and at install. We called in January to have appt made for insulation placed in control panel and were told that payment hadn’t been made at time of install and that we owed them $2300+. We trusted them (our mistake) and assumed that installation workers somehow had trouble with charge in November and gave them card # on the phone to charge again. We realized soon after that we had paid them and this charge was an over payment. After several phone calls, they agreed. We are still waiting for a refund. We have been told FOUR times that the check is in the mail. They have actually said ...”we just mailed that out yesterday, you’ll have it tomorrow.” Then dodged our calls when we tried to get ahold of them to let them know we didn’t get it. Their excuse....”they’re really busy.” Well, being busy doesn’t cause people to lie. It would cause you to say, you’re busy and can’t get the check in the mail. We’ve now contacted the better business bureau and will file a small business claim. They obviously don’t have the funds to pay us.

They ran the duct work on the outside, installed a damper on the outside wall and hooked the exhaust to the fan over the stove. They are the best, that's the reason I use them. They sell wholesale so they aren't like other heating and air conditioning contractors. They buy the product from the manufacturer and they make their own ductwork. It is as reasonable as you can find. They call me right back. They are there when they say they are going to be there. They were great. They told me exactly what they were going to do and they did what they were hired to do. They know what they are doing and they give you the best product for whatever the situation is. They know the size of the air conditioner or heating unit that is needed on the job and they make sure it is done efficiently.
