I went to Angi to look for someone to put a small door up on an opening in the wall above my staircase in the living room. The closest I could get to what I needed done was drywall install. So that’s the listing I asked for with Angi. I got 2 companies. I requested quotes from both companies , but neither one responded with a quote. I received a text from someone about the job I needed done. I never got a name from the person that texted me or the company he worked for. In my haste to get the job set up I didn’t ask his name or what company he worked for. He asked me to send pictures of the job I wanted done and I did that and he quoted me a price of $ 220.00. I accepted. We texted back and forth ma couple times more for what day and time to do it. In all those texts I never got a name for him or the company he worked for. I saved the texts back and forth between us and when I did not have a receipt for the work done I used our texts to one another to reach out with another text about needing a receipt. Instead I got a call back from a quite rude person that when I answered she said what’s going on here. She did not identify herself to me or why she was calling me at first. She never did identify herself to me but I finally figured out that she was calling about the text I sent about needing a receipt. She was concerned that I wasn’t happy with the work done. I told her that was Okay, but I needed a receipt for the work done because I didn’t get one. She seemed pretty dismissive of me when she found out that’s all I needed. I told her that I had to have a receipt and that it had to have the Company name address and phone number on it, had to have what the job was that I hired them to do on it, how much they quoted as the price, what form I paid them with ( it was paid in cash), date the work was done, that the work was fully completed and that it was paid with cash and paid in full. She said she could do that and I thanked her for her time. She also told me that they were the company that did the work at my home, she read off my address to me. So I’ve been waiting for a receipt to show up in my mail and so far I have not received it. The company I believe that did this job for me is; LDM Tile and Remodeling LLC. I’m going to include the phone number that I received the texts from about the job. That number is:1 708 639 5493. I have no idea who this person is or what the name is for this person

We hired her on 7/28 and by the 24th. Not one job was completed. She did the demolishing of the house yes. I paid for dumpster. She put up drywall for the entire time she was here. Would tell us her electrician was coming then he wouldn't. Then she would say I'll be there at 8 and not show up until later. She didn't finish anything she did put the drywall and subflooring down but didn't complete anything at all. We bought all the supplies. Everything. She didn't complete anything.
Description of Work: They only finished demolishing. My husband helped finish the beam. She did help but didn't complete one job. She didn't show up for a week an a half straight. I wanted job completed within a month. She didn't even finish doing the drywall, flooring or anything.

Response from LPM Tile & Remodeling LLC
We are asking to close case as the full amount of money on proposal wasn’t paid. However they did pay for the work that was done except for the additional costs for beam installation. We provided labor and some materials for beam installation. An additional cost that our customer didn’t pay for was for furniture delivery. It is important to mention that our customer told us they lied to their insurance company about a broken pipe that had caused damages to their home. The damages were actually caused by an inflatable hot tub that our customer put inside and forgot to shut off the water which led to their damages. This was mentioned by our customer after we received the signed proposal and work was being done. Therefore, we did have possible suspicions on if they were to take responsibility of paying for our services. The total estimate for the project was 11,095. We asked for 5,500 as the deposit to allow us to buy drywall and plywood materials which had been installed. During the installation, they added to the project, which was to knock down an existing wall. We had recommended to not request this due to concerns of structural integrity and for that there were electrical components inside the wall. We did let them know we do not provide electrical services and that this remodel was not on the proposal that they signed. We did provide them with the number of a local electrician. We also stated to them that we would be willing to do as much work as we could without interfering with electrical. They mentioned that they had a family member who claimed to be able to do electrical work and more, while we were present on the job site the family member showed up and started on electrical work. Because of this , they no longer wanted to work with us and they interfered with completion of project. Over text they insisted on receiving a partial part of their deposit this being 3,500. We denied their offer. They then dropped the sum to 2,000. We had still denied their offer because the work that was done along side the cost of the materials, due to the additional work that was not on the proposal totaled to 7,500. After everything they only gave 5,500 towards the original estimate of 11,095. Regarding the shore wall installation we never asked for the husband to help with this. He kept insisting he would help with the beam installation that wasn’t in the proposal.
