Ifft Quality Fencing

Chuck Ifft was knowledgeable when he came to my house for the estimate. He told me I would receive a written quote within a few business days. After a week passed without receiving it, I called him. He told me he was in the field but would forward the quote to me via email as soon as he returned to the office later that day. I never received it, and that was the last I ever heard from him. It's not my job to pester someone for their estimate. I subsequently hired Hohulin Fence and would recommend them to anyone!

Chuck and his guys have done 2 fences for my family in Bloomington/Normal in the last 3 years (we moved). They are timely, efficient, and are priced right. Both fences have been great quality, and have stood the test of time. They stuck with their promised timeline, and delivered a finished, perfect fence within 2 days each time. I can’t recommend them more! Hopefully we’re finished moving and won’t need more fencing anytime soon, but if we did I would call Ifft Quality Fencing every time!

We had staggered contractors completing different tasks, Ifft Quality Fencing went up and beyond to accommodate our projects being completed as well as their fencing! Excellent attention to what we were looking for, detailed and in pool compliance. Would thoroughly recommend Ifft Quality Fencing to anyone! Most impressive to me.....every single one of those young men, had old-fashion manners and etiquette!

Do not do business with this company! I thought I was getting my own fence; however, the company ended up tagging on to my back and side neighbors’ fences. I was charged $28 per linear foot for a (cheap) pine privacy fence. When I called to resolve, I was told I signed a contract so too bad. Although I did sign a contract without closely reviewing (my fault), I never imagined I would not be receiving an entire fence for the the estimate of $1400 (my property is a zero lot line property). When I initially discussed the estimate with Chuck Ifft, I remember wondering why he didn’t show me the work that was being done (I realize I should have asked), but he seemed like a trustworthy person. Do NOT be fooled by the nice guy image. I did and feel 100% betrayed - I should’ve listened to my gut. An expensive lesson learned!

Most horrible experience ever. When problems started to happen the threats of a lien on my home became their driving force. Both owners are smooth talkers but very deceitful. People, they are only concerned about the money and not whether customers get a Quality install. Get on line and read the reviews. I wish I would have. Their guidelines for their contract protect IFFT QUALITY FENCE ONLY.. It is written so the customer has absolutely no recourse when and if installation goes sour. Once you sign their contract and pay 50% down the games begin. My installation started 4 months after I signed. On one side of my house the first fence post is 1" away from my foundation, while on the other side of my residence they installed the post 4" away from foundation. I was not happy due to the fact that aesthetically it looked bad and the gap was to large. I called to voice my concern and Chuck said, "They didn't want to disrupt my foundation. I said, "So it's ok to disturb my foundation on one side of the property but not the other. Then the excuse became maybe there was something underground, but they weren't sure because their son did the install. I asked them to please speak with their son. I did not hear from them for a week or so. I then called the office and spoke with Kristi Ifft and she said the slats in the fence have a four inch gap and so their install was appropriate. In addition, I checked eight other residences in my subdivision that have aluminum fences like mine, and all have a maximum of 1" clearance from residence and their slates are also 4". Moreover, The post that is 4" away is loose and can be pulled right out of the ground. There are 8 others that are also loose. Chuck said he would fix it in the spring but he wanted his money, and if I didn't pay they would put a lien on my house. They would not put in writing that they would fix post to my liking. I believe they will never come back because they are too busy closing new business and have no integrity for servicing their installs. I have paid them in full. 3800My belief is I will have to find a more reputable company to fix IFFT Quality Fencing mistakes.

First of all, the fence was promised for Aug 31 and "completion " was October 4th When fence was finished, space between bottom of fence and ground was aprox 10-12 inches and our dog could easily get under fence When asked about the problem, told contractor they couldn't be responsible for undulations in the ground? Our contractor had to have his crew come out to fix the situation So not only did they do shoddy work and then not come back to remedy their errors, they showed up after my contractor had done their work for them and entered our property without notice or permission When i suggested that they needed permission to be on our property or else neede to be accompanied by our contractor, the owner of the company got pissy with me (the person paying his fee) and basically told me to F Off. I would NEVER suggest this company for fence work, and my contractor also stated he would never use them again

Signed contract and paid half of total price in November of 2014 after he indicated likelihood fence could be installed before weather turned too cold for concrete work. Didn't happen. Maybe I was too optimistic; maybe he knew better all along? Now April, still no fence, and won't return my phone calls. I've since found numerous online reviews of his work which make me concerned about the quality of the install when I do eventually get my fence - the materials he uses appear to be fine, but the labor and especially the timeliness are issues (from what I've seen in other reviews and am now gaining personal experience with....)

They did an excellent job all the way through and I have no complaints with them.

Terrible,Terrible,Terrible Customer Service, strung me along for 6 months trying to resolve an issue with the Lattice work on my first Section of Fence, then came up with an over the top price for repairs. Told me upon Purchase that my PVC Fence had a Lifetime Warranty. LIE

We wanted a chain length fence for our back yard. We went to Home Despot to get it. They gave Chuck Ift (the owner) our information. He came to our house and gave us an estimate. They were not the cheapest but they had worked with yards that had hills, so we went with him. When the fence was almost complete, Chuck asked for the check for the full price. He had put in an ordinary gate when in our contract it specifically called for a custom gate. He said that he would leave an ordinary gate in until he got a chance to make the special one. That in the mean time, he wanted his check. I said no. I was outside alone with him (I am a woman) and he got in my face and threatened me, wanting his money - telling me he would sue me and more. Scared to death, I said that I needed to go inside to get my check book. Once inside, I was able to have someone come to the door with me to tell him that I would not be paying him until the custom gate we paid for was installed. I was very angry with him trying to physically intimidate me. I told my husband that he would have to do all further dealings with him. A week later Chuck brought out the custom gate. I had my husband go out to pay him. My husband came in red faced and I saw Chuck drive off. He said that Chuck produced a bill from the city of Bloomington for $200 on top of our original amount because we had failed to get a permit. Thinking this was a scam, I called the city. They said that while there was a fine, it was not for us, but for the company. That it was their responsibility to get the permit, not ours. That they should not have charged us their fine. They suggested we take Chuck to small claims court. That they would come and testify on our behalf. We contacted Ifft fencing and were basically blown off. We tried to cancel the check and send them one for two hundred dollars less, but Christy Ifft (his wife) returned it. We have yet to follow a small claims suit. We know we would win but we are the parents of special needs children who are very needy and we simply dont have the time. Chuck Ifft knew he was taking advantage of our family, full well knowing the challenges we were already facing from the children's medical problems. Please stay away from him.

I called after the project was done. They said they would be there on Thursday and it took 2 weeks for them to show up. They still have not gave me the fence pieces that they said they would give me.
