Terrible! Only used Chambers because Whirlpool sent them my service request. Had to leave my mom with tech in so I could return to work, so I wasn't even there to find out what was wrong BUT told him to call me when he knew something. I got vague blurb of the problem and my mom saying he said he broke something on the unit!? Took 3 days and me calling office twice before tech finally called me! And NOWHERE on the paperwork does it state that HE caused more damage to the unit than the original problem!

When our 18-month-old refrigerator's freezer quit working, LG gave us the name of their local authorized service representative. That company delayed the work by several weeks and then refused to do it. LG next recommended Chambers Services from Bloomington, an hour away. It took LG a few days to finally get the work order sent. Chambers was helpful, patient with my phone calls, and did replace the compressor, although it took two visits to get the new one working properly. When the first compressor ordered came in damaged, they immediately gave me a call and put the order through again with overnight shipping. The techs were friendly and competent and the fridge has been running fine for several months now. The work was covered by LG under their initial warranty.

Chambers Services is the company contracted to do warranty work by our local Lowe's. The ladies that did the scheduling in the office were very professional and gave us a date with am or pm service times available. Our tech, Scott, was personable and extremely conscious of keeping the work area tidy. He called about an hour prior to his arrival. He covered his shoes with disposable covers upon entering our home, and placed a mat in his work area to avoid scratching or marring the hardwood floors. Parts had to be ordered, and his return visits were handled in the same professional manner. He answered all my questions about the repair, and I would definitely recommend this company and this tech for future repair work. I've had other techs from other repair services stomp through the house with muddy shoes, scratch our floors, and leave the debris clean-up for me to do. Scott was so conscious of these issues and treated my home like it was his. Good job!

The technician was very professional and did a good job of determining the problem. He went to their warehouse to pick up the part and had it replaced and working in just a few hours.
Description of Work: The fan on my furnace started making odd noises. I called Chambers and requested that they come out the next day. By noon the next day there was no heat. The technician called before he arrived. After some testing he needed to replace the Blower Motor.

The smoke eliminator of my Viking Range was replaced today and will, ostensibly, eliminate some of the smoke when roasting meats in the oven. One of the two servicemen has been to my home perhaps 15 times in the past 10 years, replacing heating elements and whatnot on this range. Two servicemen came to replace this small part. The serviceman that I know pretty well was accompanied by a younger guy. Both men were insensitive almost to the point of being rude: 1) First, when I opened the front door, the younger guy had just opened a piece of candy and I watched him drop his candy wrapper right outside my front door on the porch. Why would anyone do that? 2) Next, when they were finished up and leaving, I laughingly said "See you next time!" This is a joke because Chambers has fixed this same Viking Range once or twice a year for over ten years now. Today, though, he turns to me and says, "You're a half glass empty kind of person, aren't you?" You know, maybe I am. Or, maybe I see the glass half empty when I'm paying for a service and get a rude service guy.

This frustrating situation was finally resolved by filing a complaint against the manufacturer, but it would have gone so much better if Chambers had done their work thoroughly and honestly.
Description of Work: My new washing machine was destroying clothing due to a manufacturing defect (items sometimes get caught under the plate at the bottom). Chambers was sent out to check it for the manufacturer. They did almost nothing; didn't even run the machine and declared that the tearing was due to my loading the machine wrong - no details as to what I was doing wrong. The manufacturer refused to listen to me after this. Eventually, I was forced to file a consumer complaint against the manufacturer to get the $900 + tax refund. But Chambers gets paid by the manufacturer, so it's to Chamber's advantage to find nothing wrong in order to get hired again!

They called and scheduled this HVAC tune up to be done on 7/05/16. They did not make the appointment because the technician had an emergency and the substitute technician did not have his tools to do the job. They rescheduled for next week. This is the first time we're using Chambers Services. I thought I'd mention this delayed service schedule hoping that they do not have a history of making excuses for deferring service schedule. The A/C unit was not cooling and they found the Motor Starting Capacitor defective. They came back with the part and replaced it. Glad that they did not charge me for the part and the repair. We'll plan to use their services again and give them the chance give a better service.

Fine. I think they came out maybe ten days later after the purchase of the deal. No I didn't have to pay any additional costs. That was not their fault, I had had a local repair shop come too and they couldn't find it. Well as it turned out they couldn't figure out what there was to repair, it's very difficult. He tried hard, he worked at it. Punctuality is fine. He was fine. The problem is still there, it's undiagnosable.

Technician was extremely polite and professional. He showed me the source of the rattling noise and how to fix it if it starts happening again. We've had no problems since he came. During warmer months, we have an issue with water dripping from the bottom edge of the decorative border around the water/ice dispenser. He re-insulated that area to hopefully prevent this from happening. I can't say for sure if this issue is fixed, but will be keeping an eye on it in spring/summer.

Thank you for the positive feedback. I will most certainly share your comments with Travis and Justin which were the two technicians that serviced your appliances. One mistake I did notice is that our call taker should have gotten a little more specific information from you prior to sending our technician on the call. We could have pre-screened the suspected part for your washer and closed the call in one visit. While it's not always possible that is always our goal and in this case it should have been caught. Our service technicians are trained to be prompt, courteous, and friendly. They also are required to wear protective shoe covers and when necessary gloves to keep the work area as clean as when they arrive. Please keep us in mind in the future should you need appliance or heating and air conditioning needs in the future.

You are absolutely correct. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I reviewed your service history and discovered that the error that you were getting on your Samsung refrigerator was an icemaker sensor error. Our office pre-screened the icemaker and my technician brought it with him. However, this unit has two icemakers and we mistakenly brought the top icemaker and you needed the bottom one. When we returned 4 days later we installed the new bottom icemaker and the error code continued and my technician Ryan discovered that there was a broken wire in the brand new icemaker we bought from Samsung. We ordered another one and had the unit repaired a couple days after that. However, the technician not communicating his findings to you as the consumer is not acceptable. I will address this at my next technician meeting and we will rectify this issue. Thank you again for bringing this to my attention.

Dryer was fixed, but doesn't dry quite as well as it did before. The technician couldn't give a specific reason. But it does work we just have run it an extra cycle with big loads. When he came back to check the dryer for the concerns stated above I had him take a look at my icemaker that stopped working. He did about 5 minutes worth of looking at it and said it was dead. So I don't know if he gave the deal of the $79 again, or if that is there standard rate and there is no real deal. Because this ad says it is just for one time, but I got charged the same price for both appliances. I thought the amount charged for testing the icemaker for 5 minutes was a little ridiculous but the tech was alright and were on time. I would use them again.

The eventual outcome is excellent. The refrigerator was fixed within the projected budget, and we live happily ever after. In our view, the process could be more efficient. In total there were three visits spanning two weeks. The fridge needs to be completely defrosted to replace the defrosting heater. It turns out that the defrosting time is longer than the service person predicted, so the second visit was botched. It takes a while to schedule the third visit so we lived without a refrigerator with its parts occupying the kitchen counter service for an extra week.

Our refrigerator was making a noise and the water dispenser wasn't working. The repairman arrived and fixed the water dispenser the first trip.
