I purchased the deal, but needed to use it in a few months. When I contacted them, I did not hear back either time.

It was a pretty poor service. They said that it would be a deep cleaning, yet nothing was cleaned very well. I wouldn’t use them again.

Service provider never returned a numerous scheduling requests , and I was never able to book an appointment with them to begin with, very disappointing.

My experience with MerMaids Cleaning Services for house cleaning was pretty good. They sent two different people and they are friendly. One I liked a lot and the other not so much. We are continuing our service every other week. The person they are sending now is quite thorough. This person is great the other person could improve. I will continue to use them in the future.

I bought the coupon for cleaning by this company. After nearly a month went by I had not heard from them and called. The woman who answered was extremely aggressive from the get go and seemed to feel I was quite out of line for asking why I still had not heard from the company after a month. She kept stating that if I didn't like it I could get a refund. I have the impression, which was confirmed by next contact, that she simply did not want to do the job and was looking for a way out. We set a date for 8 weeks from date of coupon purchase. At time of scheduling I told the owner I was scheduling her for the day of a very very important dinner party for me and politely emphasized that she needed to be quite sure she would be there or it would be a huge problem for me. Once again the owner was extremely aggressive, telling me "if I say I will be there I am gonna be there". On the day before the important day I had not heard from her for 3 weeks so I called to make sure she was coming. She was once again really aggressive - I can only think it is because she really did not want to do the job and was trying to find a reason to renege - and she told me not to bother her and to call for a refund. She flatly refused to come out, thereby leaving me high and dry for my very important dinner party. Very unprofessional, very unpleasant. I see some other good reviews but my guess - and it is just a guess - is that this woman will smile nicely when all is well, but will quickly turn on you like viper if she is in any way contraried. Beware if you have problem - it will not be resolved pleasantly.

My house is cleaner than it's been in 10 years after Lucy and her assistant spent several hours cleaning yesterday. They were very professional and thorough. They got into all the crannies and corners which had been neglected by others for months. The kitchen and bathrooms were also very thoroughly cleaned. I was very happy with their service, and asked them to come back to my house on a regular basis.

I was very pleased with the service. Lucy was very professional and accommodating to requested details. The time to clean was a bit longer (initially just one person) than expected but likely because very busy just before holiday. The cleaning was very thorough! I will definitely use these services again. Good Cleaning, Fair Pricing, Nice People!

I am writing this review because I feel it is very important for those reading online reviews to know that my experience with Mer-Maids in Berwyn, IL has been wonderful. In fact, I have used 2 other cleaning companies over the past decade, and for the last 2 years my experience with Mer-Maids in Berwyn,IL has been far superior. The cleaning quality is very excellent. On time, very courteous. Unlike other companies I have used they actually move things to dust and vacuum, and they use an excellent green product on both my floors and counters that leaves them shining and smelling great. When I need to contact the office I get either the owner or the manager, who make things happen for me right away. I am very pleased with Mer-maids and recommend all my friends to them. Ms. Lucy from Mermaids cleaning service arrived on time with all her cleaning solutions ready to clean! She did an Awesome job! I highly recommend her & I already signed her up to come to my house every 2 weeks.... Some of the work Lucy preformed: Removed all dust from the ceiling fans & woodwork.. Vacuumed my carpet stairs along with all the other carpeted areas. Mopped/Washed all floor including ceramic flooring with her special cleaning solutions. Cleaned and Disinfected all shower doors. Cleaned all mirrors, glass tables, and other glass surfaces I have in my house. Dusted the stair railings and removed some spots. Emplied all the garbage can & wastebaskets. - Roxane
