Hannah's Plumbing & Maintenance

I called them. They were very nice, very prompt, and came right away. They were going to break in to the wall to try to find what the problem was because they thought the actual pipe might have some damage. I asked them if it was possible that the pipe might have some plug. They agreed to try that, and it worked. They were very easy to work with.

He came the same day, drained a pipe and got us cold water in the kitchen. He told us that he could not repair the leak in the exhaust system, and that we needed a roofer (he could have told us that information when he came to give us the estimate.) He also told us that he could not fix the faucet because it needed a new part. He offered to come back to put the part if we needed him. He stayed in the house half an hour and charged us the whole amount even if he only did one of three jobs. When the part for the faucet came, we called him and he told us that he will charge us again for fixing the faucet. I told him that the first estimate included the faucet, and that it was unethical to charge again for a job that he did not do the first time. After reminding of "his words to us" he agreed to come for free, but he never came and never returned calls.

Placed telephone call to Greg Hannah, who said that he would have Mike come to the site, quote the price and, if approved, proceed with the work. Mike came the next day, with assistant Isaac. The price quoted was very reasonable, and they began the work, immediately, finishing in approximately one hour.

Called at 7:30 a.m. Job was completed before noon. Outstanding responsiveness.

Greg definitely spent considerable time here trying to determine the source of the smell. He asked me lots of questions. The toilet is working fine now. No more leaking.

I was satisfied with them. They came at the time they told me they would come. I called them in the morning and they were busy and said they would come by 6 p.m., and they were here on time.

My husband and I purchased a new faucet and hired another gentleman to come out and install it. Once it was installed we noticed that it had hardly any water pressure, when we asked the gentleman who installed it he said that we just bought a bad faucet. About a month later I called up Hannah's to ask if they had ever heard of such a thing. He said no, but that there were two things that he could do. The first one was the take the faucet apart and see what was plugging it up and then put it back together, the second thing was to install a new faucet. He said that no matter which one I went with it would be one price. I thought that was great, because he did not try to harsh it out. He said that he could fit me in the next week and we had to cancel on him, so when I called him back a month later to reschedule he remembered me and was able to fit me in within the next few days. He came right out and took the faucet apart, found the problem and now it works great. He was very courteous and professional. He did very quick work. The price was reasonable and I even got a discount for finding him on Angie's List. I have been very satisfied with his service.

Wonderful. Goes the extra mile to find the problem (the real one, not the one we think it is) and to fix it. Conservative in his work -- won't just rip out walls for his convenience. Comes back until the job's done, prices are reasonable. Other handymen have commented on the quality of the washer and dryer work done.

He was wonderful and I was very happy with his quality of service. He explained exactly what needed to be done and told me where I can get the parts. He also showed me everything that he was doing or what he is going to do and cleaned everything after the work was done. It was a good experience working with him.

First they hand dug the trench (about 6 feet long 7 feet deep) trying to save my stone flower box. To no avail a torrential rain storm collapsed the box (no fault of theirs). The rest of the trench was dug by machine. The new pipe went in fine and passed the village inspection. The clean out was installed below grade as asked so the lawn mower will pass over the cap and will not be seen. Clean up was good and most of my lawn was saved which was surprising with all the dirt and clay that was excavated. My only complaint was the replacement of the side walks. The slabs were not properly finished. I don't think they had the proper floats to finish the edges. I would seriously consider using a professional cement crew in the future. This was my only complaint and the reason for the "B: grade on quality. I don't have a price to compare it with as it is not the type of job I had time to shop around for. Greg Hannah has been fair priced in the pass so I had no reason to suspect he would gouge me in an emergency.

Called them explaining kitchen sink leak, toilet flapper issue, and basement sink leak. They tried to fit us in on Friday afternoon. They called and said they were running into emergencies, and they would be late. I explained that none of the issues were serious, and that I would be working at home on the following Wednesday. They set Wednesday morning and Mark and an associate we at our house at 9am. They proceded to do the work and went to Home Depot to get a new sprayer and a new handle for the toilet. Mark was great - he explained everything and gave me alternatives. Mark explained everything that was being done and we received a discount when I mentioned that I had found them on Angie's list. Really appreciated that when they discovered a small crack on the very old basement sink, he suggested that just put a pan there and replace when/if the crack gets worse. Will use them for any future plumbing needs.

It was early Saturday evening and after trying to fix it ourselves the ceiling in the apt. below started to leak.I looked on Angies List,called and within an hour Mark was sent out .He was knowledgeable,repaired the problem and cleaned up afterwards.

He did not get the job . My family and i have delt with contractors for more than 40 years we have seen good bad and ugly. Don't try to run game on my family because you will loose.

Greg's estimate came in $125 below another plumber that I'd been using, so I went with Greg on this repair. Once hired, his crew showed-up when he said they would and he completed the work in a timely, professional fashion. The repair worked great and passed the code inspection. I was pleased with the overall experience.

Greg, the owner, took the call and helped me trouble shoot a couple of things to make sure it wasn't something I could do myself. That is a rarity to be certain. Mike and Isaac came out within 3 hours of the initial call to power rod out the basement sewer line. They worked quick and cleaned everything up. They also re-sealed the lid to my back-flow valve and shimmed and tightened my basement toilet at no extra cost (!) Most importantly the final price came in under the quote that I was given over the phone. Overall, very nice guys who didn't try to pressure me to do any extra, unnecessary work. I would definitely use them again. Also, the final price came in $250 under the phone quote (for the exact same work) from Power Plumbing and Sewer.

Greg came out right away to give me a quote and the work started the following week. The quality of their work really impressed me, and I would definitely hire Hannah's again.

Fantastic. I felt that we were treated fairly and that our little bit of business really mattered. That's about the best you can say for any contractor.

Saturday morning I cut a hole in the shower wall to replace the valves. All went well until I tried to remove the fittings from the copper tubing. I needed help fast since this is the only shower in the house. Greg was probably the forth call on the list. The better known names in town all had answering machines Greg picked up. He had someone at my house in 2 hours. I expected to pay a high premium for emergency Saturday work, but I didn't. I received quality work at reasonable weekday rates. His worker did not make a mess. In fact I think it was a little cleaner after he was done. I was so impressed with the work and price I asked for an estimate for the badly needed replacement of my shower drain pipe. Within a week that work was completed (1 day job). Again the job was done without a mess and within the estimate even though there was an unforeseen problem.

Our problem started on a Saturday evening, and by Sunday morning it was worse. I called Mr. Hannah on Sunday morning, and he answered right away. He was very cordial and said he could have someone (Mark) at our house after Mark finished the job he was working on. That job took a little longer than expected, and Mr. Hannah called to let us know that. Mark called a little while later to give his estimated time of arrival. He arrived soon after that, figured out the problem very quickly and fixed it soon after that. We truly appreciate their willingness to help us on a Sunday morning.

If you want a good plumber and don't care about service, punctuality and professionalism, call Hannah. If those things are important to you, find someone else.

I am so happy to recommend Gregg and Mark to anyone, especially Seniors who have been burned by other plumbers. Gregg and Mark will NEVER burn you. They will even show you the faulty parts and leave the old parts with you as requested. Couldn't ask for better service. Quick response and 24-hour service.
