Tried drain cleaner and hair dissolver with no luck. Couldn't get snake to work because of the way drain lines were constructed. Called Hannah Plumbing and Jessie was at the door in less than an hour. He used air pressure to open the line. The whole thing took less than 5 minutes. The price seems high but then I couldn't clear it myself and Hannah's plumbers had the right tools and the know-how to get the job done. That made the cost worth it. Now I can take a shower without having to tread water. Would positively use again for any plumbing problem.

The two servicemen arrived at the time that had been promised and then introduced themselves to me. They were very personable and immediately went to work on the installation of the two faucets. They worked quickly and very maintained a very clean environment. When they were finished, they removed the old parts from the house and discarded them for us. Both the father and his son, an apprentice, were very friendly.

We received multiple bids on the need to replace a portion of the sewer line leading out from our house and having a number of pipes in our crawl space replaced. Greg was by far the most knowledgeable about local codes and the work that was required. While one of the more expensive options, we had a hunch that the work Greg's crew performed would be a higher quality than the other bids we received and all work would be completed correctly the first time. We were most impressed by the professionalism and promptness of the crew. All work was completed in two phases over a period of a few weeks. At the end of each phase, our property was left in clean condition. We received regular updates from Greg and his manager Mike. Part of our work included removing a concrete sidewalk that connected to the house. After about 6 months, the ground around the work had settled revealing a few damaged bricks on our home where the concrete sidewalk once was. Greg had a mason make repairs quickly and without any hassles to us. Overall, we had a positive experience with this company and would recommend it for large jobs that have to be done right the first time.

We had a foul odor coming from our basement, they came looked over everything, weren't entirely sure of the source (of course when they come out the smell isn't really there anymore), but they thought they found a possible area causing the smell. The permanent fix was going to be quite expensive, so they applied a temporary fix to try out so we wouldn't have to spend a lot of money if this area turned out not to be the source of the smell. Very courteous, professional, on time, tidy and friendly. Would definitely use them again. The problem also appears to be fixed!

Hannah was able to accomodate us on very short notice for this project. The workers were fantastic. They phoned when they said they would and arrived on time. They worked quickly and in a professional manner. We were slightly confused about the final job cost - the total seemed to come in a little higher than quoted. Neverthless, we received quality service and the overall experience was terrific.

My house was built in the late 50's, and a hot water feed to master bathroom developed a slow leak. The really wasn't a critical need to replace the old galvanized steel drain plumbing, but it was getting rusty, and some long horizontal sections and the clean-outs were impossible to open. I had decided that fixing the drain at the same time would be a good idea. I called Hanna's. The next day, they sent out an estimator, who carefully examined the job with me. I was impressed that he actually tried to talk me out of doing the drain work -- it wasn't essential that the drain work be done; it would almost double the price. He gave me an estimate for the hot water plumbing. We agreed that when the plumber came to do the job, we would do some more inspection. Some of the drain work was so rusty, he was afraid that he might poke a hole in it if he pushed on it with a screwdriver. I decided to award the job to Hannah's. A couple of days later, the estimator came back with the plumber to look at the job again and start the work. The plumber proposed a simpler way to do the drain work, and I decided to go ahead with both the hot water and the drain work. The plumber was friendly and professional, and responsive to my suggestions for some details: I requested dielectric unions, rather than copper soldered into brass screwed into galvanized steel. One day after the job was completed, I noticed that one of the unions was leaking -- very slowly, maybe 2 or 3 drops per day. I called Hanna's back. They sent the same plumber back again, and he tightened up the leaky union. I was a bit disappointed that this wasn't done perfectly the first time. But it was remedied quickly.

The kitchen sink in my first floor condo unit was backed-up and the 2 units' kitchens above were draining into my kitchen through the kitchen sink. It was a disgusting scene! I took a look at the list of plumbers in my area with an 'A' rating on Angie's List and chose Hannah's Plumbing. Within the hour, Todd was dispatched and arrived promptly, as promised. Todd was able to diagnose the problem, propose a solution, and implement the fix in a timely manner. Also, given the nasty sewage situation, Todd maintained great professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
Description of Work: Clogged-up kitchen sink in a first floor condo. The kitchen plumbing from the above units were draining into the first floor condo unit's kitchen. Hannah's Plumbing cleared the kitchen plumbing down to the catch basin to ensure proper drainage. Shop-vac'd the sewage in the sink and surrounding area.

After the flood, our basement sink started backing up with dirty water. We plunged and tried to snake it ourselves but failed. We called Angie's List plumbers on a Saturday looking for someone to come in and take a look. To our surprise, he called us back immediately and came out same day. He used a power rooter and cleaned it out.

We were able to get quotes over the phone before he came. When he came, he realized that there a few things that needed to be done and he gave us a discount. I'm a little disappointed that he didn't call back about my broken faucet he said he would fix if he found the part. But as far as the things he was able to fix, I was very happy about the work done.

Terrific. The plumbers were professional and efficient. They explained what they did, why they did it, and how we could maintain or improve the function of our drains/sewer.
Description of Work: We called Hannah's for two reasons. The first was to perform routine maintenance in rodding out our sewer pipes. The second was to investigate the cause of sewer gas we were noticing in our basement. The plumbers did the maintenance on our pipes and investigated the cause of the sewer gas problem. They discovered that the smell eminated from our floor drain due to backup from a faulty ejector pump. They replaced the ejector pump and instructed us in how to maintain the floor drain so that the problem does not recur.

I needed prophylactic sewer rodding, so I bought the Angie's list deal. $225 of work for $175. Michael came out as scheduled, but the weather was horrid, as is my back yard. @200' down hill with 2 access point. He said he would set up a Saturday as I had already taken one day off work and when he could get two men to do the job instead of one. He would call me back later that day. Three days later, I called the company. Got forwarded to Michael, who said he would call me back in a little while. Again, I had to call the office. It was set up for this last Saturday in the morning. They called in the morning. They had an emergency job they had to handle and could they come later? No problem. About 4:30 they called again, it took longer than expected, could they come on Sunday morning? Again, no problem. This time they showed up and actually did an excellent and professional job. Advising me of two potential problems and recommend better maintenance. I already know the job was going to cost more because of the size of my lines. What I wasn't expecting was the forfeiture of the savings portion of the deal because it was done on a Sunday. Charged $380 - $175 instead of the $225 from the Deal. Still, all things considered, I will continute to use this company. Most of this falls under "stuff happens"/

With the recent flooding, I didn?t realize that my hot water heater got knocked out until very late on a Thursday night. I tried to light the pilot (I thought that was the only problem), but that didn?t work. Not knowing for sure what the problem was, I placed a service call (non-emergency) at 11PM for Hannah Plumbing to come the next day. I figured we were all going to bed, and were all aware there was no hot water, so I didn?t particularly either want to drag them out of bed, nor wait for a service call. I?d just have dirty hair the following day! They showed up the following day about 11:00 AM ? and probably finished at about 11:02 (yes, it was just a pilot light that had gone out), but he said the sweetest words that a homeowner could ever hear ? ?NO CHARGE, just make sure you write up an Angie?s List recommendation?. Oh, and by the way, Angie?s List is how I found them in the first place. And, this is NOT the first time I?ve recommended them!!! They are very patient, are willing to teach, and are VERY reasonably priced ? even for emergency situations (my plumbing seems to want attention on Sunday afternoons!) Through their actions, it is evident they really enjoy what they do for a living, too. It is always refreshing to have one of Greg Hannah?s plumbers in the house! If you are debating between them and another firm ? don?t! Just go with HANNAH?S!!!!

Based on all the positive reviews on Angie's List; I called Hannah Plumbing on a Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. as we had what we thought was an issue with our toilet leaking. Their receptionist took my information and said she thought someone could come out today. Within 3 minutes I got a call back from Todd. He was at our house within the hour. Todd was able to diagnose the problem and fix it on the spot. He then followed up and explained the situation so that we could resolve the problem on our own should it happen again. As it turns out, we did not need to replace the wax seal. I would highly recommend Hannah's Plumbing & Maintenance. Their customer service and responsiveness is excellent. Todd's honesty and attention to detail as well as his professionalism was much appreciated. We will contact Hannah's Plumbing (and Todd) the next time we have any other plumbing needs.

Within a few minutes of 1pm the next day Greg called to say he would arrive in about 45 minutes. When Greg arrived the first thing he did was put paper cover over his shoes so nothing would be tracked on my floor. There are very few people who would be so considerate to care about tracking dirt on my floors. After assessing the problem, he went back to the truck to get the equipment he would need and solved the problem in less than 10 minutes. He left the water running while he took his equipment back to the truck to make sure it would continue to drain without a problem. When I asked about the discount advertised on Angie's list, he deducted it from the price on the bill without any problems and DID NOT try to say it was already deducted as many other service providers do. This is the second time I have used Hannah's and I got the same great service as I got the first time.
Description of Work: The sink in my bathroom was alternating between running slow and not draining at all for two weeks and nothing I was doing seemed to have a lasting effect.. I called Hannah"s to remove the clog and get the sink running. I called on a Tuesday afternoon and they said they would be able to come the next day between 1-3 pm.

Overall I thought the experience was pretty average. Not awful, but I wouldn't call them again either. Hannah's sent a plumber out to give us an estimate to do the work listed above. The person on the phone was curteous and helpful. We received an estimate from Hannah's as well as one from a second plummer. Hannah's was much lower so we went with them. The funny thing is I think the plumber just didn't know what to look for with the estimate. The job ended up costing the same as what the second plumber estimated and was consistent with the scope of work the second plummer estimated. The plummer kept being "surprised" and adding to what he needed to do as he worked on the job. On the day of the job, a plumber came out. He was late. One of our bathtub drains was clogging and since we have an old house--it was more than just a clogged pipe that needed plunging. I think the tub had a old plugged up boxtrap or something like that. The plumber installed a new piping behind the drain, and new stopper. The guy was nice but he was a little unprepared and scattered. For example, he didn't have a flashlight so I had to find one in our house for him to use and had to go to the store at least once, maybe twice.) I think his disorganization also made the job longer. I was supposed to be the first appointment in the morning and he came at 1pm and stayed until 6pm--the whole day was shot. He had difficult accessing the drain pipes (not his problem) but he suggested that he cut up from the floor below to access them. That would have been through the plastered ceiling of the entry way below. I encouraged him to cut through from behind the drain (where there is a closet) a large enough hole in the foor so that he could reach the drain. He did. He finished the job and the drain works fine though there was a large gapping hole in the floor of the bathroom closet that was just left as is. (Fine thought I'd prefer a service that would just hammer a piece of board over the hole so the job was a little more complete.) A few months later (now) the plug doesn't scew in and out propoerly, although the bathub still drains. In fairness to Hannah's I haven't called to see if they will fix the plug for free. Perhaps they will if I call them. For the rest of the job. He couldn't finish the outside spicket without increasing the price to $450. Fine. But we said no, so that is not fxed. He rejoined the leaking pipes with a sort of coupling. That works fine and does not leak. Good job there. The bathub in the second bath was fixed when he left but it now again won't hold water.(It's the kind you flip up the switch so that the drain stops). So, as you can see, our experience was very average. Some good, some not so good.

Our home is actually 2 blocks away from where the plumber is located. I called and gave my information and was told I would get a call back. Instead the plumber showed up to our house, which was fine with me as they were speedy. The plumber I believe his name was Todd got right to work. He took apart the bathtub faucet and told us it was rusted inside and we would need a new faucet. He said he had to go and get the new facuet. He placed his towels in the tub so as not to make a mess. He came back and installed the new faucet right away. No more leak. He also helped me with the shower head which was low on water pressure. He removed a resistor and the water pressure was a bit stronger. Overall, a good experience and i would most likely use them again. I felt for the actual work done the price was a bit high. Initially, it was 155, but I mentioned I was a Angie's List member and he reduced it by 10%. But then again most plumbers charge around this amount so as I mentioned it was a good quick experience. Hopefully, no more leaks!
