Hannah's Plumbing & Maintenance

We hired them based on reviews off the internet. They came in to inspect the issue. The older gentleman seemed very agitated and would not discuss price. He made the other man, Christian, do all the talking. We had expected it to be charged a bit more as it was an emergency call. I had requested someone in the morning and they came within a few hours. The were within the time frame I was given and did call 15 minutes before to inform me they were on the way. I was told the service was to be about $450. After about 30 minutes, they showed me the rotor tool (it was about 3" in diameter) and the amount of debris they pulled from the pipe. I have a 6 inch drain opening, that they said, lead into an 11 inch drain pipe. I was told they did not have the correct equipment, it would be dangerous, and cost me an additional $157. I was astounded actually to see that nothing was laid down to protect my flooring and they just laid the sewage debris on my floor as well. The machine had leaked sewage on the carpeting. The drain is located in a carpeted, unfinished, work room. After they were finished I was again shown the pile of debris that looked only as if it had been pulled apart to seem larger. They suggested they leave the pile of sewer debris to show my husband that work was done. I thought a photo would work as well, but they left the debris, after requesting a garbage bag from me. I also surveyed the damage to my carpet and work room. There were splashes of sewage all over my storage and stored items as well as the damage to the carpet. We are currently looking for an estimate to have the carpet replaced.

After a small hiccup with the scheduling (which they gave me a 15% discount for) it was great. The day of service they called saying when they would be there, Ed arrived as promised and proceeded to carefully listen to the issues. (slow toliet, loose faucet, shower drain concerns) He thoughtfully explained what the option were. With each of them, he provided the most conservative (and cost effective) approach. I thought I had to replace the faucet but he was able to replace a plastic part, the toilet was an easy procedure and the shower was fixed easily. I really appreciate the time he took to think about the best approach for my concerns I would absolutely call them again.

Very efficient. Worker initially gave me a different (higher) price for the job, but I showed him the Angie's coupon, and he agreed on that price. Pleasant, courteous, and gave me some quick pointers on other appliances (hot water heater maintenance).

It went very well. The plumber, Raul, was prompt, courteous, and quickly diagnosed the problems with both toilets. He fixed both in a quick and cost effective manner. He cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. We would definitely use both Hannah and Raul again. We were quite pleased with the services provided especially since they were provided the very same day we called with our plumbing problems. This is our second experience with Hannah recently and both were excellent.

Even thought it was Saturday, there was a technician in Oak Park who arrived with the water heater in his van. He had to go back to get some other things when it turned out that the cut off valve didn't work.

The plumber arrived within the appointment window and immediately looked at what could possibly be wrong with the disposal (it was less than a year old). Noting that it was loose and a screw had come out he asked if I had seen one ( just put it in the garbage can, but not taken it out), he looked and said that's it. I most appreciated the honesty of the workman by not stating I needed a new one so the actual time on repair was well worth the money spent to employ Hannah's Plumbing. I highly recommend the company because of the handling of my initial call for an appointment after explaining what could be wrong as well as same day appointment no additional cost.

I called Greg in August 2016 as both my kitchen and basement sinks were clogged. In my attempt to unclog the kitchen sink after pouring boiling hot water into the drain the pipes under the sink started to leak. Greg sent out Gary and Tony to work on my issue. They quickly unclogged my basement drain and needed to replace the kitchen drain. After the repairs were made both of those drains are draining better than they have for years. Another excellent job and we are very pleased with the results of that repair. While he was here I also asked Gary to take a look at my flood control that was done back in 2006, we were having that sewer gas smell in our basement for quite a while and I needed to take care of it. The flood control was improperly installed and needed to be removed. In 2 days the job was done, replaced by a back water valve and properly inspected by the city, best of all no more sewer gas smell in my basement. They also cleaned out the sewer line removing some tree roots that would have caused problems down the road. I'm extremely satisfied with the work that was done in all cases and whole heartily recommend Greg Hannah Plumbing. They take no shortcuts, you may pay a little more but it's worth it for a job well done.

Called Hannah around 8 PM and technician was here early next morning. He explained cause of the problem very clearly and rodded from catch basin to sewer line. Found large plastic bag in the line during the process. I was very pleased with the response and the explanation of the problem. I would definitely recommend them.

POOP in the bathtub! POOP in the toilet! POOP on the floor! POOP EVERYWHERE! My in-laws needed a plumber for their idiot tenants. My wife called up Hannah's in the evening and they sent someone NOW! Thanks guys!

They were so in a hurry and didn't resolve the problem. I called them back and they said it would require a more extensive repair. I was able to solve it myself. The chain was just too short.

Overall the work and quality from Hannah's Plumbing was great. But it did take 2 different technicians and 2 different visits (which meant 2 different times paying). On Friday, June 3rd, the first tech came an hour after the time frame, assessed the leak, said he could fix it, but then said that we would have to call the company on Monday to get him back out on Tuesday to fix it - had to pay $119 just for that (thank goodness for the deal I bought or else it would have been $168). I reached out the the owner immediately, who was very responsive throughout all of this, to ask if there was any way to get someone else out on Saturday because the leak was not fixed. On Saturday morning, the owner reached out and said Alfonso would be coming. Alfonso called to say he would be there in 40 minutes (arrived within 25 minutes), assessed the leak, and went right to work to fix it within 25 minutes. Alfonso then tripled-checked his work to make everything was effectively working with no leaks. Would definitely use Alfonso again if anything was to happen.

Hannah's Plumbing & Maintenance are seriously amazing. I called them in the morning because my recently replaced sump pump stopped working. They said they would get someone out to me by the evening as they were fully booked for the day. By lunchtime, someone came by and took a look, figured out the problem, replaced the sump pump that was still under warranty, and were gone by 1:00. He explained exactly what happened to the pump and was very nice and polite. I was working from home that day and he tried to keep the noise down!!! I will definitely be using them again!

They explained all the work and the prices. They made a recommendation to replace the shower drain. I was glad they did. The work was completed in a fair amount of time. The plumbers took special care to make sure there were no water leaks or issues before they left. I would absolutely recommend them and will absolutely use them in the future.

Hannah once again did a excellent job replacing my hot water heater. They walked us through the entire process which was very helpful. They called us before they got there. I would highly recommend them again.

Hot water heater was replaced and is working properly. But when the crew was done, they left me with a dead electrical receptacle which is where the vent for the water heater is plugged in. That receptacle was live before they began their work. When they were done, they said I'd need to call in my own electrician and plugged the electrical cord from the new water heater into an extension cord stretching across the basement. The point is that the electrical receptacle was live before they did their work and they should have taken responsibility to restore it to proper functioning. When I called management (Michael), I was told the problem was at my end and that I'd need to take care of the problem on my own. Management took no responsibility for the damage done in the course of the work and offered no remedies. I will not use this company again, and am mystified by the positive evaluations that lead me to this company in the first place.

They were fast and efficient in the replacement of the sump pump. They were on time, the only issue I had was that when I printed up the Angie's coupon for service there were all sorts of questions as t o the origin of the coupon, despite the fact I made the appointment through the website which directly sends the order confirmation directly to them.

We called late afternoon on Monday and received service on Tuesday. The plumbing crew was prompt and professional. They took care of our clogged drains and fixed the toilet. All our plumbing problems were solved. They also explained things well and gave us tips on how to prevent problems in the future. The price was fair for the quality of service provided. As senior citizens, we were graciously given a 15% discount on labor. Thank you.

Greg personally gave me a no-cost recommendation to get rid of the sewer gas smell, told me why it was happening. I will keep going to Hannah's for all of my plumbing needs. Best in the business.

I called Hannah's in the morning and they were able to send out a plumber that afternoon. We had a clogged bathroom drain that had water backing up in the tub and shower. The plumber rodded out the drain and had everything running smoothly within an hour. The experience was efficient and successful. I will continue to use Hannah's in the future.

They were friendly. They arrived within their promised time window, and fixed the immediate issue. However they did not relight the water heater and blamed it on a crack in the water heater control panel. They blamed that on the company that installed the water heater. I called that company and they sent a guy out the next day. He had no problem starting it and he didn't understand why the Hannah guys couldn't start it. I feel that I had to pay an additional $135 that I shouldn't have had to because of that.

We have use this company before with good experiences. They came out to our home to quote on replacing the bath tub. After two weeks we still did not have the quote. We spoke to Mr Hannah about this, still do not have the quote.
