He said I can fix your roof, you have to pay me and buy the roofing paper. The price of the roof and dormer was over $10,000. I still have the receipt

The work itself was satisfactory, even though I now think the rep oversold the need.

WELL THE WORK WENT ON OK. WE PAID $10,585. THAT WAS A LOT OF MONEY, BUT WE THOUGHT HE WOULD DO A GOOD JOB. ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE HOUSE THE SINGLES WERE NOT CUT OFF BUT LEFT IN THE GUTTER.. 2ND YEAR SOME PAPER ON THE SOUTH SIDE BLOW OFF. I CALL AND TALK TO MR. WALTER HIMSELF, HE SAID DO YOU HAVE ANY PAPER? AND A CHARGE WILL BE MADE. I DON'T COVER WIND DAMAGE.

After many delays, weather and other things the work finally got done. they did a good job with what I needed done at the time.

I started calling the company in January. At the time I had a gutter come loose from the eves of my house from the weight of the snow and ice. Just getting them to come out and take a look so I could get an estimate was a hassle. I was assigned a contractor for my project. I will call him "Mark". He said they don't do many jobs in winter. We went back and fourth for MONTHS trying to communicate. All the time the gutter getting worse. A family of squirrels moved in and started chewing large access holes in the wood, and destroying my attic. It wasn't until I told them I was an Angie's Deal Customer that they started to move on my project. (Why they sold a deal in winter, with six months till expiration and then have Mark tell people they don't do projects in winter sounds lazy or scammish to me.) My quote from them for replacing the whole gutter and repairing the holes and replacing a couple shingles,(No painting the new wood.) was $1300.00. I had talked to other companies and got estimates for around $800.00 and $900.00. I kinda feel that a price increase was added to recoup the use of the coupon. When it came time to do the job, "Mark" didn't even come out to do it. I was told they would be sending someone else. (SUB-contractors) I found this ridiculous since months before I had originally asked to work with someone else, (Not Mark, because of the communication problems.) they said no one else was available because that was his region. The guys they sent did a decent job, but I had to ask them to close up a obvious squirrel hole directly on the edge of the new gutter. (Because the animals would just rip a new way in.) Considering how bad they were at getting back to me, I was amused that the bill for the remainder of the total amount was sent the next day.

I didn't see anywhere that I could respond to what this provider stated. They wrote that I did not contact them by a means they respond to. Really? You're on Angie's List but you don't respond to messages via Angie's List? Interesting. Even more interesting is that I still have the message I sent...unanswered. Nice to know that if I DO want to contact you all I have to do is write a bad review

The company was great. They were very efficient and kept to the projected amount of time for the repair. I'm satisfied with the quality of the materials they used as it was of good quality.

In 2007 I had some paint bubbling on the living room wall on the northeast side of where the chimney is located. Bridgeview roofing came out and he caulked around the chimney flashing. I then noticed water line marks on the basement wall in the same area as the living room. He then came out and caulked the chimney cap which stopped the leak. Not being convinced this would be a permanent solution, I went in the yellow pages and called M.Walter Roofing & Insulation,Inc. Estimating engineer Al Galvan #1351 came out and told me the chimney bricks were really bad and I would need the chimney torn down to the roofine and rebuilt. On June 11,2008 I made a payment of $300.00, the balance of 2695.00 to be paid upon completion of the job. The job was started and completed July 27(?) 2008. Al Galvan came to the house to collect the balance due. When he went on the roof to check out the work, he discovered that the chimney cap was cracked and the crack had been tarred over. I would never had known this (and I am sure the workers assumed I would never know!). He took a few pictures and agreed with me that I would not pay the full balance until the cap was replaced. On August 5 I did give him a check for $2000.00, withholding $695.00. The workers eventually came out and replaced the chimney cap which Al Galvan verfified by going on the roof and taking a picture to show me. I then paid the balance of $695.00. It was not even 2 months later (early November) that the paint in the dining room on the southeast corner (where previously I never had any damage) was starting to crack and bubble not only on the wall but the ceiling too. I called M.Walter Roofing and was told (in so many words) that they could not come out at this time due to the winter weather coming (it might snow). Call after call after call, as i watched my walls and ceiling paint crack and bubble, they came out in April (yes APRIL) of 2009. I do not know the details of what they did that day. Eventually I had the walls and ceiling repaired and painted which cost me around $1000.00. It is now 2014 and only 5 years later, not only are my wall and ceiling paint showing signs of water damage, water is now literally actively flowing down my walls into the basement and onto the floor. The original bricks from the roofine down that face southeast have turned black, the mortar is being pushed out from moisture and there is a line of efflorescence between the chimney and the dining room window. When I called M.Water Roofing service #1-800-300-1912 the woman told me the company was out of business, could not find any warranty paperwork for me but offered to have someone come out and give me an estimate. Really??!!

Everything went as expected, no surprises, no drama, no leftover mess. This is the second time we had used them and were again pleased with the whole experience.

Rain stopped of course. Rain came again and drip occurred inside area again. Called office and this time a foreman came out and started to find fault with fireplace chimney bricks away from leaks as cause also. They located the issue and were able to resolve the problem.

What I was displeased with was the crew and the fact that they spoke almost no English so I could not talk to them. They left their lunch trash behind, despite the fact that my garbage and recycling bins were right there. They also moved some really, really heavy patio furniture and did not move them back. Mostly irritating stuff but I didn't pay so I could pick up their garbage!

It went well. Company sent a large crew who began work at about 8:00 a.m. They removed old shingles and replaced with new. Workers cleaned up and were finished before 5:00 p.m. Roof looks good and we've had no leaks so far.

The work was done in a reasonable amount of time.

Very well, the crew was efficient and did a good job. Only one issue, when the crew chief came out to inspect the work he did not like how a portion of the gutter was hung and had it replaced.

They fixed some loose shingles and made sure everything was in order with the roof, and they did a great job on the tuckpointing.

They were okay. Since the patch work, we have not had any problems, but I will probably call them again to look at more areas. They were quick to respond to my calls. I feel like they did a good job with the work and I had no major problems at all.

Everything went fine. I had no complaints. The work was done fairly quickly and one time. They came out shortly after calling, maybe within a day or two. They cleaned up well after the work was done and I would say a majority of the nails were picked up. They also removed all of the old roofing materials as well. I was happy with the service they performed.

They are great to work with and I really trust them. They come out right away when you call. One technician came out to do the work this last time and he was able to get it done within the afternoon. He did a great job on that and I would highly recommend them.

They were great to work with. Scheduling went well and they were here on time and they were efficient. It only took about a half day to complete the work. They were easy to work with and I am ecstatic they were able to finally fix the leak in my roof. There were several other companies that tried to fix the leak and it never worked.

Walter Roofing put a new roof on our house 13 years ago. The roof now looks awful. The shingles is curling and pealing off. I contacted Walters Roofing and the original owner Phil came out.(Walters Roofing is now owned by another company, but Phil at that time still worked there.) He said unfortunately the shingle company is in a law suit. He gave us the contact information and we were in hopes that we would be able to get some money back because 13 years and 5000.00 dollars later is just not long enough to me for a roof to last. Unfortunately the shingle was not theirs and we got nothing. We still had to have our roof done so we agreed to go with the same company. They talked me into putting flashing on the house. I didn't have this done before and never had problems but I wanted to trust them. So the crew put up the roof, and the flashing. When I came home I was really disappointed because they put a off cream color (trying to match my house i guess) next to a dark brown roof. It looked awful. It stuck out like a sore thumb. I would of rather of not put the flashing on. Or I though they should of at least shown it to me before the put it up. Phil came out and I just didn't want to argue the fact. But I was ready. Phil, said. wow that is wrong. So wrong. I was so relieved that he felt the same way. He reassured me they will come back to put on Dark brown flashing to match better. It took awhile but they finally did and I am much happier with it. They never replaced the larger rain spout guard that I originally had there. But, I guess we can do that. Phil tried to keep the cost down for us. It just killed me to pay for another new roof. So he said that the top flat roofing was fine and that didn't have to be replaced. He only saved us money because of an area they didn't do. But it saved us a bit of money. I recently called the company back to say I am happy with the roof but still want to go after the shingle company. And can they help me locate them. They told me that Phil no longer works with them. The woman on the phone seems to want to help us. I hope so. When you pay extra for shingles that are suppose to be under warranty for 30 years I expect a little more than what they offer to help. I also want to say don't pay for the extra shingle warranty. Phil told me that the roofing companies are not responsible for the shingles. I said they should be because they decided which shingle company to go with. The question above asked if I would go with this roofing company again??? I said yes but the real answer is maybe. I does depend on how hard they help me with getting some satisfaction with the shingle company. I still feel that a roofing company should stand behind their roof and that includes that shingles they chose to go with.

They came out and did the estimation for us and it was nice though their estimation was not complete and their reputation on Angie's List is not that good so I do not want to use a company with comments like those.

We were very pleased with the work that was done. The site was cleaned up thoroughly. When I had to call them back out to address a leak, they were incredibly responsive. Overall, they are a very professional organization. Also, their bid was best out of three we received.

There have been some issues, but M Walter Roofing has generally been responsive. That being said, their communication is lacking at times because it can be difficult to reach anyone. The leaks I’ve experienced always appear in new spots, so once they repair an area the problem is resolved. I do plan on calling them again in the next few weeks for more repair work.

I thought they did a very professional, prompt job. The price was reasonable. Overall, I was happy with the experience they gave me.

We were totally satisfied with our experience. They were very good about being responsive and professional.
