Sales process was longer than I wanted to invest but is part of the process. Ordered windows 8 weeks later they came and installed them. Everything was done as promised (showing up on time, keeping promises etc.) I was happy with the overall process. The weather was not nice on installation day but they worked through it and it was quality work.

To start off, they sent a 19 year old kid to give us a free estimate. Now I do not want to bash the kid because he was nice but you could tell that this was like his first or second time on the job. What I thought was going to be an hour visit at most turned into a 3 hour visit of this kid doing all these demonstrations and trying to sell the product. I understand he just wanted to show us what they have to offer but 3 hours is WAY to long. So finally after all the demonstration, he measured our windows and gave us an estimate. Now we wanted three windows replaced. Remember that, THREE. They wanted to charge us over $6000 for THREE windows. They are not even super big windows either. Anyways, we told him we needed to think about it and after like 30 minutes of him trying to convince us that we were not going to get cheaper windows anywhere else, we finally got him out of our house. About a week later, I get a call from a representative at Euro-Tech Inc. They said that they wanted to send a manager over to reassess our window estimate because the one we had previously gotten was wrong. So we agree to the reassessment and the manager came over about a week later. Now the thing you should know about this company is they are VERY impatient. When they come out to give you an estimate, they want you to commit that day to their windows. They are very suborn about this. For example, they will refuse to come to your house unless all owners of the house are there. So the manager came over and the beginning half of the visit went really well. He measured the windows and gave us some good ideas on how we could re-design the window set up. Right before he gave me the new estimate, he asked me if we had any other companies come out to assess our windows. First of all, that is really none of his business but I told him we had other appointments for companies to come after him. After I told him this, his mood dropped. He became very unpleasant and pretty much told me I was wasting his time. EXCUSE ME.... I am the customer. How could a customer possibly be wasting his time? AND they were the ones who wanted to come out and reassess OUR windows. We did not asked them to come back. They wanted to. These people are rude, impatient, unpleasant, and I would avoid this company at all cost. That is unless you want to get ripped off and treated like crap. Their final estimate for our THREE windows was $3500. No thank you.

We had a bad Winter and it snowed so hard that year. They had a couple of boards that were lose on the house and are just hanging there. They have gone too far with the siding. They haven't fastened it to the house. The cold air comes in on all four sides. I can't get them to come back to look at it. I have tried for 2 years. They didn't put the dryer vent in. Instead, they closed up that hole. The warm air from the vent goes into the crawl space instead of outside.

After giving Euro-Tech an F over the sales experience that we encountered and wrote about on Angie's List on August 8, 2013, I thought that there would be no way this place would ever live up to their warranty and fix some minor issues that I had with our previously installed windows. I stand corrected because of Euro-Tech's Paul Metzinger. I'm not sure it was because of the poor review but one day out of the blue Paul contacted me. I had already made other arrangements for the replacement of the basement windows but Paul wanted to know about the service issues. Bottom line is that Paul worked with me to identify what we needed, ordered the parts and had them installed. He did not ask that I write anything in return. He just did his job and in my mind represented his employer very well. I'm not changing my F to an A, but saying that I had two completely different experiences. One was terrible and one was excellent. Thanks Paul. Sometimes one person really makes a difference.

They are such a golden company. I can't say enough good things about them. They've done almost all my house. I intend to have them when I needed it roofed. They know what they're doing and I don't think they overcharged for the work and the quality. What I did like is their professionalism, their promptness and their quality. The windows worked. The heating bill went down for over $70 with the windows in. I don't have anything bad to say about them. They're very diverse.

I'm working with Euro-Tech right now. They just started today but they did the doors last week. I'm very happy with the doors. I'm very happy with what's happening now with the windows and the siding so even with the progress of the project they are doing an outstanding job. I like the follow-up. I ask a lot of questions, they are always available, followed up, "yes, we'll do that", they're going above and beyond in terms of fixing what needed to be done on the house as well as putting in windows and doors The house that I purchased is not right and they're making it right. The price is pretty competitive. I shopped around and so for the whole package, I think the price is very competitive. The are residing my entire house plus adding insulation. The house was not previously wrapped so they're doing that. All the windows are custom vinyl with argon and whatever high R value is. They've redone all of the window openings with new boxes, flash, everything. I searched on the web and withing an hour and a half somebody called and within a day, they had somebody here giving me a quote. I wouldn't say they were good if they aren't.

The sales rep was great at his job. He was personable and professional and very informative; however, there were some issues after the contract was signed in regards to color being unclear and types of accessories were included. Although we used one of their banks for the financing, their in-house financer started to call me at work, inquiring what the hold up with the paperwork, which I found extremely unprofessional. I advised my hours of work and what is a better number to reach me and that was ignored even though my work hours are over at 3:00 pm so there is plenty of business hours to reach me if it is important to do so. There was little to no communication in regards to scheduling and the first day scheduled (where I missed work to accommodate) was cancelled. However when the work was done, the installers were very nice and were concerned in communicating with us and cleaning the messes made. They were all personable and knew what they were doing. The insulation installers even added rubber stripping and realigned the front door for us which was not listed in the contract at all. The installers and the sales men are the reason I would do business with them again despite the difficulty in between the contract and the work.

I had to cancel a meeting to meet them at my home.When they where late I called they said they had to cancel.But never called me waited until I called them. Then the guy on the phone was very rude.I need a roof asap. NOT WITH THEM Do not wast your time with them.

It did not go well. I had a appointment and no one never came out.

They called and said they are doing windows in our areas. They started with cold call saying if someone can come home and talk to us. Someone came and talked to me and he said the same windows will cost $13000 and three days later I called and said, “No that's ridiculous! I can't possibly take that”. A different salesperson came and he asked questions and talked to me and he scribbled some notes and offered to do it for $9000 but I knew it was good quality windows. I agreed to do it because they gave me 18 months ‘no payment no interest' kind of deal. If I am intending to resell my house I don't have to pay till my first term. They originally scheduled to put the windows in on 4th July and I got a call from the installer and they spoke something similar to Russian and not the best of English so I didn't understand what they were talking. The installer sounded like they would put in the windows and then wrap. I thought they would wrap with aluminum tapes. I didn't want to wrap because it would not look good on the house. They didn't come in July because of the rain we had and they forgot me because when I called them the installer was embarrassed and he said the scheduler will call me and I was dealing with someone named Tony. Tony insisted that they had told him that the installers had to wrap all the sides and I told them I don't want that as it will destroy the look of the house besides he is doing only the upstairs. He said he will not do the windows down stairs but only wrap them and he sent email samples with pictures with color metal and I told I don't want it like that. The installers came and they were three people and communicated in their language. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves very well but whenever they had to do something that was slightly out of the ordinary they couldn't for e.g. I had ordered a single glazed fixed glass window to cover a leaded glass window in the bedroom and then they came down and said, “we took out the leaded glass window and what you want to do with it”, and I said, “I didn't want that out but I want it in there”, so they had to redo it. While cleaning the outside of the window they got it all nice and cleaned but they installed the new window on the back of it without cleaning it so now I have a permanently installed fixed glass window with sticker glue and I haven't called them back to fixed that. They are supposed to do very good warranties on this and there was another place where they installed a window and I had bought a board for the window, so he said he has better board and he put in the board and it was not at all what I wanted. He put in a little board that was open and he put trim in there and didn't like my trim and put square trim and everything else was molded. Their communication with me was not good and it was hard to understand them and I wasn't sure of what they were doing. I stayed there so I could be there and there were two or three places where I was not happy. They didn't want to wrap any of the windows except for the little piece because it would be just as I had said that it would ruin the look of the house. All of the talk that I did in the office about wrapping windows and samples and all that kind of stuff was completely out of the window when the installers came in. I can't obviously say if I can recommend them to anyone. In between the installers and schedulers there was no connection. The installers didn't walk around and say we can do this here and do that here so that I could be assured and they didn't ask me about other things. They did get that installed right except that they didn't clean the glass. They claimed they will come back to fix anything and let's see if they do. Not only did they not use the materials that I wanted but they didn't use the quality of saw. You can use really fine cutting saw and make some nice sharp cut and you can use crude saw and make a rugged cut and their cut was not quite sharp cut on the trim so I was not impressed with their finesse of the work. I would like to see somebody do the cocking done neatly but I didn't see that either. The windows that they put in are branded and of good quality but it is just the company, their approach and their price.

Euro-Tec replaced every window in our home except for 2 in the basment about 10 years ago. We recently decided to replace those and called Euro-Tec. First they refused to come out until both my wife and I could be there stating it's a business practice recommeneded by the Beter Business Bureau. When they did come out, we were asked if we had any serivce issues (we did - 2 relitively minor ones) and were told that because of the lifetime guarantee they would be covered less a service charge. After seeing that we only needed two replacement windows (which we made clear from the start), we were told that their minimum was three but they were willing to consider the job for $ 2,500. That seemed unusully high and we declined. We were very disappointed. We felt that Euro-Tec could care less about us. It seemed that they might be willing to do the job if we we willing to pay to much. We doubt very much that we will hear anything from the service department. Great having a lifetime guarantee from this place !

They were supposed to be out today. They were rude on the phone. They didn't let me know they weren't going to be out here today. I payed $30,000 and I got terrible service. They now are telling me that I don't have a lifetime warranty. If it weren't for the lifetime warranty I wouldn't have purchased from them for that price. They aren't even professional enough to look at the damaged siding. They are making me go directly to the manufacturer.

My Wife scheudled an appointment for quote for noon on Friday 7/12. They called to confirm today, and stated they were in our area and could come out to do the estimate. My wife advised them that I was home and could meet with them, and they refused as they wanted both of us home for the quote. This is quite problemtic, as she told them. I work a normal 9-5 job, but with travel more like 6-6. She works afternoons. Needless to say, we cancelled this any any other future appointment. We will not be doing business with Eurotech. The only reason I didn't give an "F" rating is that they did answer the phone and respond back .

The initial sales experience was not very satisfactory. Two appointments were rescheduled at the last minute. The sales presentation was detailed, professional, and relatively low pressure. I was a little concerned when the sales representative showed a printout indicating that Euro-Tech had received a Super Service Award. I did not see that on Angie's site. Did I miss something? The price, unfortunately, was out of our budget. We continued to shop around. A couple of weeks later, Euro-Tech sent their installation supervisor to remeasure and revise the quote. Their second offer was better by about 28%, and, we accepted. The three man team arrived at the appointed time. It was immediately obvious to me that these men had worked together for some time. The work was efficient and well organized. I observed that each new window fit the demolished opening tightly, indicating accurate measurements. All gaps were well filled with insulation. The exterior aluminum trim was nicely done and the generous caulking job was very neat All eight windows were replaced in only three hours. There was no collateral damage. Clean up was excellent. All of the old windows, construction debris, and dust were removed. The team leader provided a detailed demonstration of all of the window operations and features. The thermal coating effectiveness is evident and the units operate very smoothly. Cleaning is going to be a lot easier now.

They did excellent work and I would highly recommend them.

Their prices were reasonable. I had three different people give me quotes and actually they are in the middle it was in the lowest, wasn't the highest. The guys when they came to do the work too seem to be the most knowledgeable about what I want to done. They did a good job of working around some special problems. They were punctual and responsive. I would use them again.

Had them in over 7 years ago to replace 2 large bathroom windows and a slider off the master bedroom..They did a great job! They were doing their annual follow up call when I heard my husband make a appointment. Inital contact with Eric was great! All subsequent appointments and follow up were handled as promised. The real cool thing was the windows were ready alomst 4 weeks earlier than expected! I got the call on a Friday and they were at my home on Monday..My installers were wonderful. My dog managed to get loose (my fault) and one of my guys took off running and whistling, got my dog and returned to framing my windows! I was really impressed that they did a job that should have taken 1 1/2 days in 1 day....My installers left and than I had someone follow up immeadiately later that day. He was polite and professional as well. Good day! Love my windows!! Youcan not tell the 2 windows and slider were put in over 7 years ago. Everything blends and looks fantastic!

They were very professional. Every person that came in said hello and greeted me and introduced themselves to me. They made sure cleaned after themselves. They got rid of all of the old windows and old doors. They put new trim up around the windows. It was expensive.

They were prompt. They were clean and they were done within a day.

We are very happy. It looks wonderful. The two builders were Jerry and Mike. They were fantastic. The roofers did a really good job. They were very efficient, they were here on time. They worked in the freezing cold. I can't say enough about them. My concern about any contractor is whether they will take shortcuts that will sacrifice safety or quality. You don't want to have to pay another person to do it right. Before they did the job, I knew we had some problems with the siding because of termite damage. I let them know this when they came. When they approached me about what they were doing in terms of repairs and where, they mentioned a section near my crawlspace that needed to be redone. When they mentioned that section to me, my mind was eased, they earned my trust. I no longer bothered them about quality control on their job. I knew what they were about. They are very trustworthy. The fact that they weren't going to try to cover it up helped relax me so much. Excellent work overall. I am very, very hard to please. These guys were great. When I would ask them questions, they would answer immediately, professionally, in ways that I could understand. At no time were they condescending. They were on time daily. They worked full days. They worked Saturdays. I was really impressed. They even did things above and beyond. For instance, we had purchased an entry door for our garage, they hung it at no charge. They also put up a sensory light for us. I can't speak highly enough about them. I would recommend them to anyone.

Overall it went fantastically. I was never more satisfied with anything as I am with my windows. The came at the time they said they would . Did the work cleaned up the mess and were finished by noon time. I didnt have to waste my time sitting home all day waiting for them to finish, before you knew it they were fiinished. The job is just beautiful. I cant stop looking at my windows. They also fixed the siding around the windows outside which makes the windows even more beautiful.

This company had an "old fashion" way of doing business ... and not in a good way. This was a classic game of bid as high as possible then tell the customer that this is a one time only special for today (until you can get me out of here) coming down slowly but surly until you get to some number that is still unrealistic. The actual number they bid to reroof my home - tear off old single roof,6 foot of ice dam lining, 30# felt, Owens Corning Summer Harvest - was $11,500+ but they came down to about $7200. It was 5 hours of painful game playing ... I still had 4 more people to bid over the weekend to hold the $7200 number I had to place a deposit. Needless to say that over the weekend I got smarter. I went to Menards and went to their computer to determine my material requirement and approximate cost. I figured how long the job would take (based on last time it was done) and came up with a total cost and profit number of between $4500 and $5000. I was armed for the next 4 companies. The next companies were still all over the board except 2. $5200 and $5000. I choose the $5000 for the same quality and made sure the contract was written properly.

Contracted for a roof tear off and reroof using architectural shingles. Excellent initial sales presentation led to best choice of 4 other roofers. Initial installation was complicated by my village's limited building inspector availability and rescheduled during the height of a Chicago heat wave. This 8 member install crew performed admirably in the 104 degree temperatures to complete the tear off and re-roof within the rescheduled day. Excellent site cleanup and review at the completion of the job. Overall an excellent experience with a company I would do business with again.an

They are in and out with great and tidy service. I can't say enough good things about them.

I called this company and spoke with Nico to set up an appointment for an estimate to replace 14 windows in my house. The appointment was schedule for Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 6:30pm. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, I received a phone call from John, wanting to confirm the next days appointment. John asked me if I was married. I asked him why did he want to know that information, he stated it had something to do with the BBB. I told him that he didn't need to know that information. He stated that the owners of the property had to be available for them to come out. I stated that I was the owner of my house and stated that I would see him tomorrow at the appointment. He again, ask me if I were married, I was like, you don't need to know if I'm married. See you tomorrow. Well, I called today, Thursday, March 15 and was told that, I told them that I was not interested and they canceled my appoint. I express that -that was an out-right lie, that I did not cancel nor did I tell John that I was not interested. John purposely canceled my appointment because I did not tell him if I was married or not. Poor, Poor, Poor! John was out of order for canceling my appointment and telling and documenting that I said I was not interested. I spoke to Scottie the General Manager about this and he is the one that told me what was written. I ask him if they put leans on customers property if they don't pay, because if they did, then of course they need both property owners, I was furious when he told me the lie was written. It's really strange that this John wanted to know if I were married, when I specifically told him that I was the owner of my house. What was on Johns mind, what was he contemplating. I don't trust this at all. Be aware! I've had several estimates on my window replacement and no one has asked me if I were married.
