The whole experience was frustrating. We set an appointment to get a quote (back in August) and 7am the morning of, he canceled. (I understand, things happen). I said I'd call back after I could look at my calendar and find a time to reschedule. When I called back, I left a message and never heard back from him. Because they got good reviews on Angie's List, I called once more (about a week later) and I was informed that I was interrupting his vacation time and that he forgot to tell people he was taking time off but he promised to call me back after his vacation was over. After that he did come out and was polite and he promised a quote by the end of the week, but it never arrived. About a month later his secretary called and said they forgot to mail the quote but that she'd email it to me. The email never showed up either. At that point, I gave up and forgot to write a review until they called back almost *2 months* after our initial appointment to see if we still needed roofing work. I do, but not from them. I don't want to work with a company who can't stay on top of the job when it's just a quote. I expected more from an A level contractor.

We reviewed more than 10-roofers over this experience. I was the point-person for the reviewing the roofers for the Condo Association since I am engineer by trade. The Estimate process was very professionally handled by Champion. We had some disagreement within our Association to go between a Thermoplastic solution or the typical Modified Bitumen, in the end we voted for the warranty extended on the thermoplastic roof and the reduced costs. Champion also agreed to an extended 3 month payment plan that we asked for. Once we sent them our deposit we were at the mercy of the weather. We had one accidental go/no go based on the change of weather. No one's fault. The tear off of the old roof left us some damage in some of the 3rd floor units. This is where we had disagreement on who was responsible for the damage. Champion paid for some of the damage, but not all. This damage was in the hundreds of dollars so compared to the value of the overall cost, we don't feel overly unhappy about this, but this could have been handled better in my opinion. Another issue we encountered from the tear-off process is when we learned we needed some tuckpointing. Champion said they had a couple of bidders they normally use, I asked if they wouldn't mind a quote from a tuckpointer that we've worked with in the past and they agreed. Our tuckpointer came in with a significantly smaller bid -- we agreed to use them. Once work started we had some disagreement between the approach our tuckpointer was using. Champion expected every brick to be replaced, our tuckpointer was using removing only degraded brick. Eventually the roofer manufacturer was called upon to discuss this and approved the replace as needed approached. The majority of the work was completed in a week (June). There were some issues raised by the inspector for the roofing manufacturer (Steven's/Dupont). Those items were completed in late August/Early September (drain rings). In September when we had that weekend of torrential rains in Chicago, one unit discovered rain leaking into their unit from the roof. Champion promptly came out, found the hole and repaired it. They are assuming the cost for repair of the drywall damage incurred in that unit. So far, so good.

It went very well, it was excellent. They did what we expected and were always on time. We thought the price was very reasonable and we didn't mind it. They did a beautiful job of cleaning up after themselves. I appreciated the bidder took me on the roof and showed me the problems and why we should replace the roof instead of patch it. He was very honest and willing to help us out.

The roofers did the work exactly as described and we've since had a rainstorm - the leak is gone. Contacting the company, obtaining the quote and scheduling the work were all very easy and the quality of the work, as with the last time we used them, was quite good.

First of all, they never returned my phone call to schedule an appointment. I had to call multiple times to get them to come out. They were supposed to come out and fix a leak that was in the roof. The roofer never showed up. When I called the next day to figure out what happened, they told me that he was there. I said that isn't possible since I never let anyone in and there is no other way for them to get in. Then the owner, Harry, got on the phone and told me the roofer jumped the fence and fixed it. I was pretty upset about this since I don't think jumping fences is the proper way to service somebody. I was home and would have been happy to let him in. I still don't believe that they did anything, I have no proof. Harry was very rude and unprofessional, the WORST customer service. He told me if I didn't like them to go somewhere else. Obviously does not care about my business! If my roof wasn't under warranty with them I would never use them again. I would NEVER recommend them to anybody!

Came to do the quote as promised without interrupting us as they could do it from the yard. Quote came within 2 days. Once accepted I was phoned to discuss the color and then phoned with a date. They said it would take less than a day - it did - they were finished by 3.30pm. And the proof of the pudding is in the eating - they did the work the day before the big rain weekend and it did not leak, so they must have done something right!

Shane called 8/15 to schedule work to start 8/19. On 8/19, workers showed up at 7:30 AM, rang the door bell and asked if this was the house they were to replace the roof. Great to see that they care about making sure before starting a project. Started work at 8:00 AM, I was very surprised they finished the entire job by 5 PM that day, the quote was for 2 days work. Wow! Replaced some rotted wood, added new additional roof vents, and installed roof attic fan. Great job, excellent service, and cleanup was fantastic.

It turns out we did not give this roofer the job, mainly because of price. Also, they did not provide samples when they came out so we really did not know what we were getting for the money.

I was very pleased with their price, which was under the other providers. And I thought they did a great job; cleaning up completely and getting it done in a timely fashion. All in all I was very pleased and I would recommend them to anyone.

After I called, David called me back to setup the appointment for the initial inspection. He came by, went onto the roof and measured and inspected everything. His inspection wasn't as thorough as the one of some other contractors but it was good enough I guess. Shortly after that he sent me the initial proposal which looked very good. We had a number of follow up emails and David always answered them promptly usually within a day. The types of shingles that were on the proposal were some of the cheaper ones from GAF/ELK. So I did a little more research myself and found that we would prefer a different type of shingles that were of higher quality. It was no problem to change that and it was only 600.00 more than with the cheaper shingles, well worth the money I thought. So in the end, the proposal was 5050.00 for the roof replacement and 1775.00 for the gutter work. To add the two roof vents on the garage was only an extra 200.00. The one thing that was going to be extra is any wood that they would have to replace and David had the numbers in the proposal so that I could see how much more it could be depending on how much they'd have to replace. Tony, the foreman showed up with his crew a few days later around 7:30am and got to work. The tear off was completed fairly quickly and once that was done, I had a chance to inspect the roof myself and look at the wood underneath. It was mostly in good condition and just in a few spots they had to replace the boards. While they were working, I went up on the roof quite a few times to simply see how a new roof gets put on and it was quite interesting. I also got a chance to take a bunch of pictures. At the end of the day they had cleaned up most of the stuff and would finish things the next day. The next day I wasn't home but inspected everything once I got home. The roof was done and looked great. The cleanup of debris wasn't excellent but it was good enough. I still found quite a bit of old shingle pieces and nails laying around but it wasn't too bad. At first, I was a little disappointed about the gutter work as there were quite a lot of things that I found that weren't great and so I complained to David. He took it up with Tony and then Tony called me back to setup a date and time to come by and look at it and fix it. It turned out that there was some miscommunication as they had already planned to come back to finish up the gutter work. There were a few minor things and one major faux-pas. When they were done attaching the gutters and downspouts, they spray-painted some of the sections and with that spray-painted some of the wood and walls behind the downspouts. However when they came back, they were able to clean all that up properly and in the end I was very happy with the final results.

I would give this company A's across the board for everything. Everything was cut and dry. It was a simple project and they told me what it would cost and that is exactly what happened.

They were decent. They were responsible and on time. They finished within the time they told me that it would take. They were nice and trustworthy. Very professional.

They did a great job! They showed up when they said they would. They followed up by phone. Their work was very good. They only ask for half payment up front and the other half when the work is completely done. The roof and gutters look great! They cleaned themselves up as well when they were done with their work.

They were very good, they did a very good masonry job, they didn't leave a mess or anything at all, I felt that their price was very fair.

They had the best price, a wooden been was broke and the repaired it. They were on time and the got the job done in a short time. They were great at cleaning up when done.

The service was fantastic. We definitely got the "A" crew. A crew of 14 arrived and started work at 7am. At 7:30 the police came due to a complaint about 8am start. They stopped at 7:40 and started again at 8am. The work and clean-up was complete by 2 pm. Unbelievable!!!!! They tarped the entire house and neighboring house. Their clean-up exceeding expectations. Their system was well oiled machine. We could not be happier with the service and they came in a the lowest, most honest cost compared to other companies. I'd also like to add that I am 3rd generation trade worker and know how to properly install a roof. Champion did the work properly and extremely efficiently. I wish they worked for me!

Work was performed promptly, as described, and adequate clean-up was performed.

It was pretty good, they were on time, I didn't have any complaints, they were very professional about calling me back, the price was very close to there estimate.

They came out to examine the roof deck and reported that it was in very good shape. It needed just a small repair where the roofing material was pulling away from the parapet wall. Provided a digital view for me. We set it up to be completed while on vacation. The house-sitter reported that the site was clean and locked up when they left.

I searched around and realized that they had the best deals. They also had some Angie's list awards so I went with them and am very pleased. They did a great job, the roof looks good. They were good to clean up after themselves and quick to get the job done, as a matter of fact quicker than I thought!

They fixed our skylight over a year ago and we have not had any problems with it since. They were good. I would recommend them, and use them again if I needed them. The pricing was fair.

They were overall very good. The quality of their work was very good. They had good responsiveness, and were very professional. I would use this company again in the future.

The experience was good. I think that they were very responsive and that they did a good job and I am very satisfied with what they did. They've definitely had the best pricing.

They were prompt and did what they were asked to do. The pricing was reasonable and their follow up was good. Whenever I called them they responded and they responded well. Israel was particularly responsive to our needs. The crew was neat and cleaned up very well after the project.

It went very good with little problems.
