everything went as planned and he worked very hard going up and down the basement stairs to cut the doors outside.to keep the carpet clean. he is very friendly and well mannered. I would use him anytime I need more work done. remember his name; K&K QUALITY CONSTRUCTION GREG

They were very professional and thorough. They cleaned, cleared and hauled out trash. They also cleared out the cellar door entrance and made a new cover for the door on the spot. Everything that remained was organized and cleaned. They did an outstanding job and were finished in the specified time frame.

Greg was very responsive and flexible on start date due to my work schedule. From the moment he walked in he was extremely personable and very great to work with. I truly appreciated him going above and beyond as he was constantly correcting and fixing items that he saw needed some TLC that I didn?t even have on my list. If we end up moving and stay in the current area, I will absolutely have him back to our next home and work on true renovation/remodel! He was also great with my dogs big plus for me.

We were scheduled to have hardwood floors installed the following week with a different company and needed a contractor to help build an L cornered room-length step down. This task was a breeze for Greg, and he even anticipated the additional subfloor that would eventually be installed by the flooring people, saved us a lot of time and headache. You could tell he thinks about his work at a high level and has experience working on multistage/multi-contractor remodeling projects. Greg was fun to work with, very knowledgable and worked efficiently. He was happy to let me work along side him and taught me a lot of great carpentry know how.

Greg Senior is precisely why I'm sold on Angie's List. He was very thorough, professional and fair in his quoting. I'd go as far as to say he's generous. It's clear that he takes great pride in his work and he did exactly what he promised to do, and then some. I believe we found a highly skilled, honest professional, as well as simply a very good man. We have some more repairs and improvements to our home coming up and we will be pleased to have Greg back for those when the time comes. We'll also be pleased to recommend him to our friends.

Greg was excellent to work with. He was quick to respond and schedule an appointment, cordial through the process and very knowledgable. He explained how he'd complete the tasks and offered recommendations. He also made a trip to a home improvement for us when a light fixture we purchased was not the proper type of fixture. I would highly recommend Greg and K & K Quality Construction for any small or large job you may have around your home or business.

Greg was extremely professional and had a lot of great ideas for future projects we have to do, but we were disappointed with the outcome of the first job. So I don't think we would trust him for a large job. First, we had a problem because the store supplied us with a grout for the floor that didn't set. As a professional in this field, I think that Greg should have know that this grout wouldn't work, but he used it anyway instead of telling us. When it didn't harden, Greg offered to remove the incorrect grout, pick up the correct one, and re-install it. This cost us an additional $100. The grout that he installed was for wall tile and not for floor tile. So this one didn't work either. He did offer to remove this grout and install the correct one for another $100, but by this time my husband lost patience, and decided to do it himself. Other problems that we had were that the toilet did not sit flat on the floor tile. One of the tiles on the side was not level which caused the front of the toilet to be off the floor. When my husband sat on it, it rocked. Greg suggested we use wood shims under the toilet to level it. This really wouldn't be our choice, but we used the shims at the back of the toilet rather than have to break out and level the tiles that weren't level. We put the shims at the back of the toilet so they don't show, but would have preferred that the tiles had been installed level. Other problems were that the door threshold we supplied was cut about an inch too short. So there was an opening between the threshold and the door frame. Generally, when tile is installed, installation starts at the middle or side of the floor and goes outward. Greg installed the tile starting at the wall where the door was. So the tile does not go half way into the door opening to meet the carpeting on the other side of the door. This left a large gap between the carpet on the other side of the door. It also left gaps next to the door molding inside the door. These gaps had not even been filled with grout and the subfloor could be seen. There are also problems where the floor molding did not meet the shower wall. We will also have to fill and seal these areas. All in all, I was really impressed with Greg's professionalism and ideas. I had high hopes that he would remodel my bathroom which would be a huge project. I was really crushed when I saw the quality of work done on a small project. As much as I like him, I wouldn't risk a large project with him. I was also not very impressed with his defensive position when I let him know of the problems we had. He did offer to fix everything, but took no responsibility for the errors in his work. I was really disappointed because I thought he was the one to do some of the work that we needed to be done.

I had another contractor do some siding and soffit work and really messed thing up - Greg come in and fixed everything that was done wrong and more. Did more then I asked and he has great attention to detail. Wish I would have called him first. He will now be my first call for all carpentry work.

All went well. Very polite, explained what he was doing. Recoomended.

While I did not use K&K for the construction because of a previous commitment, I was impressed with the professionalism and commitment to quality demonstrated during the initial consultation and subsequent conversations. The knowledge of a wide range of techniques and ability to bring in additional vendors to assist in the job made not choosing them a difficult decision. I will definitely consider them as a first contact for any future work and highly recommend their services.

I just moved into a new house only to find that my bedroom furniture would not fit into the bedroom. My husband built the furniture, and it was over-sized. I was frantic, to say the least. Looked on Angie's List , read reviews, did my homework on the options, etc. I called K & K. Greg came out and looked at the problem. He assured me that it could be done without tearing down the whole back wall. He quoted me a price, told me how long it would take, and we picked a day. He was here when he said he would be ( a bit early, actually), and the job was done in less time than expected.. I really can't say enough good things about him. He is personable,prompt, professional, courteous, and , I believe, reasonable. I would, and will, recommend him to anyone who asks......and probably some who don't.

It was wonderful. Greg is very professional. I am delighted with his work, and he cleans up everything including vacuuming up saw dust and wood chips. He also helped me by rearranging the bedroom furniture and chopping some ice in the throat of my driveway. He is currently working on plans to redo my kitchen.

I can not say enough good things about Greg / K and K. We were recommended to K and K by a friend after our custom ordered $2,500 door sat in the garage for over a month while we waited on another contractor. Greg came over when promised and ON TIME to give us an estimate, same for installation day. Greg went right to work, carefully removing our existing trim then taking out the old door. He even cleaned up between steps!! New door was up in no time. I must say I was very nervous of damage because door came pre-finished and the opening has a large plate glass window above. Door went in without a scratch. Old trim looked like it had never been out. Door itself not only looked correct when Greg was done but operates perfectly. Door gaps are even all the way around and latches & locks perfect. With the cold now here I can say no drafts either. I would add, this was not your average door, it's extra wide with full glass sidelights - could not have been a simple install. We have other worked planned for the spring, K and K will be our first call this time.

I was very pleased with his work. He provided a drawing for the proposed changes to the kitchen so that I could shop for cabinets and countertops. No charge for this help. He also remodeled the kitchen in the home of a friend, and did a bang up job. He will either quote a job or work on an hourly basis.
