 + 1 moreIt went perfectly. Tom was wonderful and so professional. His crew was outstanding! They worked so hard and are also professional as well. The work was completed in about a week. Tom was out at our house almost every morning letting us know what was going to be done that day and giving his crew guidance for the day. Tom was a perfectionist, in fact he noticed that our fence was a bit off height wise so he had his team adjust it at no cost to us. Tom has also checked in since the work had been completed to make sure everything looks good and performing as designed. Overall I recommend Tom for any of your landscaping needs. He is honest, dedicated, and best of all passionate about his work. Thanks Tom again for making our home look so much better.
Description of Work: A total overhaul of the whole backyard. Including a new brick patio and trellis, stone steps down to the pool, a real nice drain by our back windows to prevent water from building up and getting into the basement. It has worked perfectly even through storms that dumped 4 inches of rain. They also did some great work in our front yard as well. Some of the work included replanting some existing shrubs and planting new ones and other plants. Again stone work, new brick patio, trellis, stones around pool, mulching, decorative rocks/small boulders, and edging.

Description of Work: Came over within a day of calling for a quote, spent approximately 45 minutes walking around finding out what we were looking for and taking measurements - very thorough. We were looking for a retaining wall and Tom suggested we think about boulders instead. We went over to his house to find out what rocks were available and to see what something similar looked like in his yard. The other firms we called for quotes offered no original ideas about the design. His quote was slightly higher than the others but his concept was worth the little bit extra. He spent time with us choosing plants and figuring out what type of end look we wanted. His crew was fast and efficient, clean up was great and we are very pleased with the results. Have already recommended him to neighbors.

 + -1 moreMy wife called to hire them to mow our lawn while we were on vacation, they said we would be put on there schedule. When we arrived home on may 24th there was long grass and seed tops. My wife followed up with another phone call on may 28th to schedule a mowing and they have not returned our call. The owner called back 06/02/14 said he did not understand we wanted the lawn mowed, he scheduled service the following day and did show up to complete the job 06/03/14.

 + 1 moreWe are very happy with him. We saw him on Angie's List and that is why we called him. He was very nice and very patient. In fact he called today and checked up to see if everything was fine with us and if we were happy. He asked if there were any problems. He's great. His work was fantastic. I think his price was good. He was just very nice and made me feel very comfortable. He wasn't pushy or anything but just really nice.
Description of Work: Johnson Design Landscaping took care of a drainage problem we had and also landscaped the front of our house as well as the sides. They aerated our lawn and plated grass seeds.

 + 0 moreThey have very good designs, willing to listen to what the problem is before they put down anything, it is a smaller company and it is always hands on. They work very well whether is a large or small job. They will deliver mulch, boulders, etc. If you are going to work on things yourself they will bring and sell you the materials or they can start from scratch and do the whole thing for you. They are great and I would highly recommend them.
