Description of Work: My mother called to get an estimate on a small job. Frank called back and was not only unprofessional, but very rude to her. She explained that the job was small and made a comment that implied he was not interested in the estimate. We would not recommend him to anyone looking for an estimate.

+ -1 moreAfter months of being given the run around by other contractors, Macon came out, gave us a timely quote, responded to our phone calls, and completed the work at our house quickly and when they said they would. Although our job was small, they gave us prompt service and were very responsive.
Description of Work: Macon poured a small concrete patio in our backyard.

+ -1 moreFrank and his workers were extremely professional. They were neat and quick. We had a cat step on the concrete after Frank and crew had just poured it. There were foot prints all over. My husband called Frank and he was back at our house within the hour to fix it. They were the most reasonable company we interviewed. I would recommend them in a second.
Description of Work: Removed old sidewalk from front of the house all the way to the alley and replaced with new sidewalk.

+ -1 moreThe owner, Frank, was very pleasant to work with. He responded promptly to phone calls, and kept us updated on when the job would start and how the job was progressing once work started. Frank and his workers arrived very early to begin work each day. The sidewalk turned out very nice. Also, Frank's price was much more reasonable than the other two contractors we solicited bids from. We would use this company again.
Description of Work: Macon Builders replaced our side walkway from the public service walk back to the alley, including widening of the sidewalk.

Description of Work: A new sidewalk was placed after the old one was removed. We also had a concrete pad added for a hot tub. We had a pad added for our garbage cans and a slab for the garage door.

+ -1 moreFRANK WAS WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH, EASY TO TALK TO AND VERY DILIGENT. HE KEPT US INFORMED BEFORE AND DURING THE JOB. OUR ENTRANCE IS SLIGHTLY BELOW GRADE AND HE WORKED WITH OUR PLUMBER TO COORDINATE SETTING UP DRAINAGE DURING THE JOB. HIS CONCRETE WORK LOOKS VERY GOOD--I'M VERY HAPPY WE WENT WITH HIM.
Description of Work: BROKE UP AND REPLACED 300 SQ FT OF SIDEWALK, PORCH AND TWO STEPS.

+ 0 moreTHIS WAS A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! FRANK MACON THE OWNER WAS PERSONALLY ON THE JOB THE ENTIRE TIME WITH HIS CREW. THEY STARTED EARLY EVERY DAY, AND CLEANED UP EVERYTHING BEFORE THEY LEFT. THEY MADE IT AS CONVENIENT AS POSSIBLE FOR US, WITH 2 SMALL CHILDREN AND A DOG USED TO USING THE BACKYARD. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY NEEDING CONCRETE WORK DONE!

+ -1 moreFRANK, THE OWNER, CAME WITH HIS 2 WORKERS AT 6:30 AM EVERY DAY FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS. HE WAS A "WORKER" WITH THEM. THEY WERE NICE AND A PLEASURE. WE WERE LUCKY. THEIR PRICE WAS THE BEST OUT OF 4 ESTIMATES, AND NO ONE COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB. FANTASTIC!
Description of Work: MACON BUILDERS WERE GREAT. THEY LAID NEW SIDEWALKS, REPLACED BROKEN DRAIN TILES FOUND UNDER THE SIDEWALKS. REPAIRED MOISTURE DAMAGED WALLS UNDER OVER HANGS. WERE QUIET AND DID A GREAT JOB. THEY REPAIRED A BROKEN CONCRETE BENCH, AND IT LOOKS LIKE NEW. THEY ARE A COMPANY ANY ONE ALWAYS HOPES TO FIND, BUT SELDOM DOES. WE ARE A DELUXE COOP IN HYDE PARK AND ALL OWNERS ARE HAPPY!
