The roof seems to be ok. I called after some wind damage from a storm and they fised the loose shingles. They subcontracted to replace our shutters. The shutters are not what we want. They are the wrong size, and they are starting to become deformed in the heat. We paid half at the beginning and the other half when the work was completed. I have tried to contact this service provider to the the shutters fixed but they have been unresponsive to me.
Description of Work: Replaced my roof and did work regarding wind damage.

The worst thing about Baney Construction is their horrible business "ethics". Aside from the job they did on my home, which I'll address in moment, they also worked on my 73 year-old, recently-widowed mother's home in the same neighborhood. She doesn't use a computer, so her terrible experience with Baney Construction would go untold if not for me telling it here. And I know first-hand of which I speak. It all began after a major hail storm hit our area on April 28, 2012, damaging many roofs in the area. Like me, they were contracted by my mother to replace her roof, and also to do the roof on her stand-alone tool shed in the backyard. They completed the roof on the house, which was later found to have been done insufficiently and needing further repairs, but as contracted, they neglected to do the roof on the tool shed. That's not the worst of it. They then sent a letter of customer satisfaction, WHICH THEY FORGED WITH MY RECENTLY DECEASED FATHER'S NAME, to my mother's insurance company in an attempt to get paid, despite not finishing the job for which they were contracted to complete. We were obviously appalled and outraged once this was brought to light. Our local CBS News affiliate even did a consumer watchdog report on it, and it is being investigated by local law enforcement. They are an unethical business for what they did, and I would advise any person considering their services to stay away, since by our experience, they cannot be trusted. All this aside, after having another roofer inspect her roof to double-check Baney?s workmanship, she was told that the job Baney did was not correct, and her roof is in need of further repairs (approx. $800 worth.). Regarding my own experience, my work was completed around the same time as my mother's. However, I never, even as of this writing, received a proper invoice for the work they completed. I have, however, received a letter from Baney Construction's attorney, almost four months after the job was done, threatening 'legal proceedings' unless payment to Baney Construction was received. I've since informed their attorney of this major oversight on Baney's part, and have been going back and forth with their attorney over the matter. I'm not sure if Baney prematurely had their attorney send me a threatening letter out of vengeance for getting caught red-handed forging my deceased father?s name, or if they just manage their business and billing so poorly that they didn't realize that I was never invoiced for the job. Either way, it suggests that they are a poorly run company and are not above committing fraud in order to collect on unfinished work. Lastly, and while not as serious as the aforementioned situations, it definitely deserves mentioning that Baney's construction crew showed up on a Friday before the promised starting date of a Monday. This was an inconvenience for my family, as we had family in from out of town. I had told the Baney representative of the pending family visit when he finally called to let me know his crew was ready to do my roof (this by the way, was roughly 2-3 weeks after he initially told me the job would commence during the contract signing.). The fact that the crew showed up unannounced on a day on which they were not scheduled meant that the adults and children who had just arrived a few hours earlier after a twelve hour car ride and in much need of rest, were instead kept awake by unplanned construction noise. Baney Construction also did not adequately clean up their mess, as I found pieces of shingles, gutter brackets and other scrap lying in bushes, and the rock bed surrounding my house. All in all, my experience with Baney Construction is one which I deeply regret. I only hope others do not fall victim to circumstances even remotely similar to those which Baney inflicted upon my family.
Description of Work: Baney Construction was contracted to replace roughly one half of our roof, and our entire guttering.
