The visit to give the estimate was quick and the service was quick. Every item that was touched either to be installed or the bad that was cut out is still in a heep on the basement floor. They did not clean up or dispose of anything. GET AN ESTIMATE iN WRITING OR EXPECT TO GET OVERCHARGED. Then if you dispute the fees prepare to get a multitude of lies.
Description of Work: Prompt to give a verbal estimate of "not that bad". Prompt to send the bill. Two employees were sent to replace a 10 feet section of cast iron drain pipe that ran at a slight angle along the inside wall of a full basement. The two workers were there 30-40 minutes tops. I receive a bill for $43.11 for 10 feet of pvc 4inch pipe, $20.55 for 2 rubber ferncos, and $205.00 in labor. I immediately contacted the secretary to dispute the amount charged. She said their labor rate was $40 per hour. She said she would call me back, never did. I called back about two weeks later, same reply. No contact. I tried one more time..again no reply. Finally after contacting a male friend to try to get a reply, the owner contacted me, immediately. He told me that their labor rate was $50 per hour per employee, time traveled to and from job, and time to give the estimate. I asked and pleaded to decrease the charges some. He would not budge one penny. So if you choose to hire this company to do anything, be prepared to get an estimate in writing and get charged for the estimate. Otherwise he will pay how ever many employees he wants to send, time for them to get to job and return, and then lie about actual labor charge per hour.

He done the 220 outlet for our dryer great. He just ran a new wire and connected it to the old wire that was already there. He fixed our light switch or so he said. He told us we needed a new light switch and that would fix our light problem. He said it was fixed. It's not fixed now when you turn the light on you have to jiggle the switch and hold in place for a couple of minutes before the light will turn on. Which I guess is better than before when we couldn't even turn the light on but still i'm not sure it's exactly safe to be using still.
Description of Work: We needed a 220 outlet for our dryer. We also needed a new light switch put in.

It is a small family business, so they are very personable. They are very concerned about what we thought about their work. It only took 15-20 minutes from the time we called for them to arrive. We haven't had any problems with it since they came.
Description of Work: They fixed the heating element in our water heater.
