Smart Brush

I found Smart Brush on angies list. I called Dave and his availability happended to work perfect with mine and thus I hired him after he came out to give me a quote. The job was scheduled to begin three weeks after the quote. I think angies list is a great site and all should submit a report after having work done. Dave was very professional and a pleasure to have in my house. He was very neat and did a wonderful job. He will be the first person I call when I am ready to have my kitchen and dining room painted.

Dave did an excellent job quoting the price and referring me to a carpenter for some prep work that needed to be done. He and his crew were professional and friendly and did a fine job.

They were professional, personable and really patient when we kept changing our minds about the colors of each room.

Prior to starting the job, Dave called to confirm the type of paint I had to make sure the wood and primer would all be compatible. Dave removed the old boards, primed the replacement boards (something the original ones did not have that may have contributed to their water damage), installed the new boards and caulked the seams. He would have painted, too, but I chose to do that myself. He was very courteous and professional. I would do business with him again.

Dave and crew did a nice job and everything looked good. I would recommend Dave to people looking for a painter that truly cares about the quality of service as much as the end result. He takes pride in what he does.

Dave did a good job overall and he had to accommodate my work schedule as the job took a bit longer than both of us anticipated. Since he works alone, if you have a big job that needs to be completed quickly, you may need to go with someone else. Otherwise, he does very good work.

This was the best experience we've had with somebody to do this work. I was pleased to deal with David. He handled everything very professionally. Most importantly, we were very happy with the results.

Dave did a fabulous job with painting the back part of newly installed built-in cabinetry (which was previously painted in lacquer white). The back was not supposed to be painted so that Dave could paint it navy blue; however, the millwork people painted that part with the lacquer, too. So Dave had to sand it, etc., so that the paint would stick. He also did several other tricky paint jobs at my house on the same day and it looks great, including trim and other areas that needed to be fixed and painted. Previously, Dave worked for someone else, and he painted the exterior brick of my house, and it looks great. He is very professional, kind, has all of the tools of the trade, and cleans up after himself (you wouldn't have even known a painter had been at my house after he left, other than the smell of new paint). He is busy, so you need to contact him a few weeks before you need the work done. It took him about a week to get an estimate e-mailed to me, but he apologized for the wait!
