I've used this company numerous times since owning the house I'm in and have never been disappointed. Mike is the owner and knows his business very well, nice person and very professional.

Mike Schmidt came out himself to do the quote. Mike is very detail oriented and showed us the pros / cons of the various Pella options. He approaches selling as information based and is not pushy at all. We had done previous research and ultimately decided on the spot what we wanted and wrote him a check for the deposit. We scheduled installation via the telephone the next day. We picked Schmidt Exteriors as we liked Mike's approach to us as consumers, we liked his in house ability to stain match the door to our existing kitchen and trim work, the quality of Pella, and the knowledge that we would have his worksmanship to stand behind the installation. We thought the price was fair, and while somewhat expensive, we knew we were getting a solid Pella door. Would easily recommend this company.

They provided excellent customer service.

It went very well. They successfully fixed the door. They stand by their warranty and their customer service was excellent. The doors were purchased by a previous owner. They were honest about the warranty and completed repair for free.

They came when scheduled and did the work. They did pretty good at cleanup - except for the guy who spoke no English who started to clean nice wood furniture with window cleaner. (We watched and stopped him.)

4 years ago we had Schmidt replace windows and a slider door with Pella's. They were so professional and did such an excellent job with the installation and painting of the interior window trim that we called them again to do the remaining windows in our 2 story 3,200 sq. ft. home. They replaced 20 windows with the newest, high efficient Pella's; which still match those we put in 4 years ago. This was mostly a new crew but they did an excellent job. They foam insulated around each window. The windows all operate smoothly and are very tight. The installers trimmed out the exterior with low maintenance materials to match our New England colonial-style home. Mike Schmidt checked and checked again on the window colors to make sure they all were painted correctly before installation. I can't say enough about the painters that followed up after the installers on patchng and finishing the window trim. The windows look fantastic and are going to seriously boost the value of my home in addition to providing energy savings in the future. You might pay a bit more, but I highly recommend this company. They do exactly what they say they are going to do, on time and on budget. Make sure to inspect all windows before you let the installation crew leave. I noticed that one of the pulls on a sash was crooked. These are pre-drilled at the factory. The installer didn't notice it was incorrect, but I did. It was fixed immediately.

Received quote(s) for replacement windows, exterior work (replacement of stucco and wood with LP Smartside), and roof replacement. We obtained quotes from 3 different companies overall and Schmidt came in much higher than other quotes so we did not feel there was any room for them to move down enough to meet the other prices.

The whole project went very well, they did a great job. Also did everything when they said they would do it. They put canvass down to protect the carpet and the men that installed the job were friendly and professional in their work. I decided to stain the windows and trim myself and they dropped the windows and trim off for me with plenty of time, and gave me a few tips on how to handle the windows for staining.

Overall quote was in the ballpark for pricing. Quote was originally not very detailed as to what was in/out of the pricing, and left me with possible concerns that there may be some things missed that would add to the final pricing unexpectedly. Owner was prompt in updating the quote when I asked questions. Also - asked for replacement window in basement and was told that they couldn't meet egress code (after I asked). But he quoted the replacement any way. Wasn't quite sure how something like that would work with the permit etc, or more importantly what would happen when/if I try to sell my house. Ended up with another contractor doing Andersen windows.

Schmidt Exteriors came in the winter when there was a little snow on the ground. Their work turned out very well. They came back about 6-8 months later for touch ups, and that went off without a hitch Also, they helped us with the tax forms to get a federal refund which was available at the time.

The product has a high R rating and is fire proof. The owner, himself, came out to our house to show us the product. He was very good. We have had no problems and our heating bill has gone down. We did not price anyone else because we saw them on Angie's List and the Today Show. We knew we were going to go with him from the beginning. Although talking to other people, his price was right in there with other people. He was definitely responsive.

It was an expensive work. They definitely do excellent work. Their workmanship is excellent but there was some misunderstanding while they were designing the windows. They were open to ideas completely.

This was the second time we've used them and they've done a great job both times. They were professional and had reasonable prices. They do good work. They did leave some debris behind which we think was a mistake but it did get taken care of later on. Otherwise they did a good job.

They did great work and my neighbor is even using them now. They workmen were terrific and incredibly professional. When you start out with them, they get a piece of the window trim from the windows to get a color match. They then give you a couple of chances to OK the color. Once they order the windows, they installed them with great care and even fixed the rotten support rods. After they get it all installed they send a ?finisher? who fixes any details and makes sure everything is just right.

They were excellent. Professional. Got the job done quickly, efficiently and correctly. Very personable. I plan to use them again in the future for more services.

Generally good quality but poor communication and highly unprofessional behavior on the part of the company's owner. He is unable to settle minor differences of opinion without throwing a tantrum.

Prompt attention to estimate request. Scheduled our install in a timely manner. Cleaned up thoroughly and left the installation was flawless.

The men worked constantly all day, barely took time for lunch. When we requested Mr. Schmidt to give us addetop ideas on spots that were still cold (microwave, unheated crawl space), he came back checked the work his men had done, and gavve suggestions on how to improve the other areas.

They came out and drilled a lot of holes and blew in what is called air krete. It basically concrete with a lot of air in it. They did a very good job, they were very professional and very responsive. They were very good at working with our schedules, the job took longer than they thought but they kept working with it. And then they filled in all the holes so you could not tell they were there.

Overall it went fantastic the guys were really great and cleaned up and covered up everything as much as they could to control the dust from getting on things.

They had a good salesman. The crew was hardworking. They worked with on the price of the patio door. The whole project only took three days with three men.

They came on the day and time they said would. Their clean up was im-pecable and they were very friendly in my home. I would highly recommend them to anyone, plus they were really cute!!!!

Everything went very well right from our initial meeting with Mike Schmidt until when the workers finished the second day. They removed all the old windows and the sliding door, the installed the new ones on the first day. They came back on the second day to do all the final touch-up work and install screens. Everything now opens and closes beautifully. They also look great from both the inside and the outside.

They did a good job overall, but I wish the follow up would ve have been a little more personalized. I spent a lot of money with them not to follow up the correct way. The window was put in correctly and they look great.
