HARVEST CUSTOM COUNTERTOPS

I chose them because they are close and I wanted to give my business to a mom & pop/local type store. Compared pricing with another larger competitor and Windmill was $300-$400 higher but again I thought it would be good to go with the local guys. Anyway, they knew this was my FIRST kitchen upgrade and we were going from laminate countertops to granite and quartz. Very helpful to explain stone pro/cons and the process. Good start. I selected the stuff, put down my deposit and a guy came to measure. They switched the install date from a Thursday to the following Tuesday - called me a little late (we were removing everything ourselves) but I still had sink in. Then on Friday morning at 7:15a someone calls and says, Hey we can do it today! What do you say! I said no - we were GOING TO WORK and still had to remove some stuff. So, install day comes, great, they forget the faucet, they guys don't clean up the counter when finished, I didn't get a cut out I asked for as a sample, and there were no drains on the sink. Which, i know now isn't usually included - but again, they knew this was my first time and you don't-know-what-you-don't-know. For a mom and pop place, this was atypical and I would absolutely not recommend them because of their lack of attention to customer service. Not worth it for such an important project.

Would never recommend Harvest--unreliable!!! West Chicago Countertops was wonderful!

Overall they did an excellent job and the price was great. We were able to pick out the slab of granite before it was cut and the completed the job in one day.
