We had this company come and give an estimate. First of all, the cabinet maker was a bit pretentious, which was uncalled for. During our meeting, he tried to convince us that our vision wouldn't work, and in some ways, he gave the impression that we were wasting his time. He obviously had a lot of experience (and reminded us of this fact), but he lacked the creativity and desire to problem-solve in order to create the kind of built-in cabinetry we needed. He did bring up a few points which later gave us food for thought (and ultimately helped to improve on our own design), but by the end of our meeting, he failed to envision the custom cabinet that we intended to have built. Luckily for us, he was the third cabinet maker we spoke to. Otherwise I believe he would have discouraged us from further pursuing our project. He said he'd get back to us in a week with some ideas, sketches, and a quote. It took him over four weeks to email us, and even at that, the cabinet he proposed, which still didn't meet our needs, was over $2000 more than other quotes we'd received. The project we needed built was a unique, multipurpose, and space-saving built-in cabinet, and we contacted him because that is how he advertised his company. Due to our experience, however, we would not contact him again, even for a quote.

We worked with a person called Cary McCarter. I have recommended him to many people. He was very professional and super thorough. The workmen were very friendly, very clean and very honest. They cleaned out everyday. At the end of the job Cary hired the cleaning service to clean the entire house for us, didn't charge us for this work where as this was an extra thing. We loved him and his price was average.
