I left a message to all the painters I contacted for bids asking if they could tape and mud drywall for a partial finished basement. I also needed a bid for our deck to be power washed and painted. I set the appointment with certaPro for 5:30 on 6-12. I finished my 2:00 appointment that day and since he wasn't scheduled until 5:30 I decided to drive around as it was storming and I love storms. I arrived home a little after 5 and learned he had shown up an hour early because of the storms. My husband told me Kevin from certaPro looked everything over and would not be able to do the drywall mudding (which I clearly indicated was needed) but would email the estimates for what he could do that evening and Kevin told my husband he would bring someone by that could bid on finishing the drywall. It's been a week and I called the CertaPro 800 number to report him. Kevin called me and stated he sent the email off then proceeded to give me a wrong email address. I sent an email to the address he gave me and got an immediate error. My husband said he wrote down the correct address. Kevin offered to send me a quote but I told him if this is how he handles his business I surely wouldn't trust his work. I told him i was going to report this to Angie's List and he said go ahead he was going to start writing his response to my complaint. Kevin if you didn't want the job just say so.

The crew was on time. They paid attention to detail and addressed all of my concerns. I have gone through 5/6 painters in the past and CertaPro was by far the best. I will be using them for exterior painting, so let?s hope it goes as well.

Susan came for a color consultation and we felt we got a mini course in color theory and design. While the colors we ultimately chose were rather different than what we had originally envisioned, she explained the process so well that we were able to feel completely confident in our choices. Once the paint was up, we realized that she was absolutely correct, and that she had helped us achieve the exact look and feel we wanted in every room. The painters themselves were completely professional, showed up exactly when they said they would each day. They were very organized and worked quickly while doing an extremely careful and good job. This is the first interior paint job we've ever had done where we can't find any drips or splotches left behind at all! They had budgeted 4 and a half days to complete the work and were done in three days but the quality of the work didn't suffer at all, they were just that efficient. They protected our furniture and floors completely. We were completely satisfied with every aspect of the job. Between the color consultation, which was invaluable, and the quality and efficiency of the work, it was money very well spent. We would absolutely recommend them again!

The job itself went very well. The color coordination with Susan was perfect, we picked the exact colors I was hoping to use but couldn't have done it without her. The team was wonderful and everyone was very courteous and professional. There are a couple of things that we weren't 100% thrilled about and one of them could have been our fault. We knew they were going to power wash all of the surfaces and while the house painting turned out very well on the vinyl siding, the wood garage looked a little rough. We thought that the old paint would have been scraped if needed after the power washing but it wasn't and was painted over. So from far away it looks great, but up close you can see where the surface should have been scraped. We probably should have asked if that was included but I think we just figured it would be. The only other thing that bothers me is that my storm doors weren't covered when the painting was being done on my house so there is a film of paint spray on the storm door glass that I'm not sure how to remove from the glass panel. Otherwise, we are very happy with the results and would hire this company again.

We hired Certa Pro on the recommendation of a friend through costco in St. Charles. We have an older home and the job was fairly complicated with trim etc, The quality of the painters work was great, but they showed up to power wash before the details of the colors had been settled and power washed trim that wasn't being painted. The foreman was confused and clearly doesn't communicate with the salesman. The color specialist also made recommendations we didn't go with and then was somewhat dismissive of us after that which led to other problems once painting commenced. The team painted out garage trim the wrong color and it had to be repainted. All the communication problems made the process very stressful for us, but the painters did a very nice job in the end.

These guys did a great job for us. They provided a much appreciated professional to assist us with color selection prior to starting work. The work schedule called for up to three days of effort but the four man crew that did the painting worked in a very professional manner and finished in two days.

They were on time, worked quickly and cleanly, and did a great job. No follow up was necessary.

It was great! The workers were on time, very professional, and did an excellent job. The owner was on site to get the work started and checked in as the work progressed. Additionally, the owner's wife is a colorist, and her selections were perfect.

Our contact at the company, Susan, was very pleasant and wonderful to work with! You really get a sense that they are customer focused and care about the quality of service they provide. This held true when they actually performed the work! They told us upfront that if at any time after they were done that we felt they missed an area we should not hesitate to contact them and they would send someone out to touch it up. Painting brown wood white is definitely a challenge so we did notice a few spots that looked lighter than others. They came back promptly and repainted all areas we identified. The deck continues to look great due to the quality of paint used (Benjamin Moore). We were extremely happy with their work and have been recommending them to others!

Certo Pro Painters were excellent from start to finish. They exceeded are expectations by color coordinating, recommending. Small improvements that made huge differences and starting to finish on time. Their customers service was outstanding from the person answering the phone to the guy who cleaned up!

CertaPro did an excellent job, and it was very helpful with choosing the right colors for the work. The pricing seemed fair as well.

It was great! CertaPro worked quickly and quietly, and they left the area clean once they had finished the job. Furthermore, they did an excellent job of matching the paint on the house to the paint on the sunroom.

They are going to be finished with the project this afternoon, and so far they have done an excellent job. They are very prompt, courteous, and I could not ask for better. They put the first coat on yesterday, and the color looks great.

We were very pleased with CertaPro painters from the estimator's appointment all the way to completion. They did an excellent job and treated us very well the entire time.

CertaPro Painters were definitely professionals from the first discussion in Costco, to the painters walking out the door after the job. When the job was quoted to paint my hallway and foyer, my first question was "That's it?!" I then decided to always have them quote my upstairs hallway as well. Next step was deciding on when to get the job done and what color to go with. I spoke to Susan on both these items and found her to be very helpful in picking out the right color. I was very indecisive about when to have them do the job and went back and forth. But even after I had her call back a few times to check up on when I would be ready, Susan was always very sweet and accommodating. This really spoke volumes to me. I knew I was dealing with a company that took pride in their work, even before the painter put on the first coat. When the two painters came out, they were polite and neatly dressed. They got to work and were done within a few hours. I inspected their work fairly quickly and they were on their way, leaving me the remaining can of paint, cleaned up work area and a survey to mail in later. After being able to inspect their work closer, I have to say I am SO impressed. How do they get those lines so straight and clean?! And why in the world did I bother painting on my own before?! From now on I'm calling these guys! Not only are they VERY reasonably priced and run very professionally, but they did an awesome job painting! What a FIND! I don't know know if I'm more excited about the great paint job or knowing I never have to paint again...at their great prices, I'll just have them do it.

I did not hire the company. Bid was over 25% higher than competitive prices I received and at least one of the other competitors was doing more work. Company was on time for the bid and was professional, but pricing was too high. They may stress quality...but the work that I ended up having done was high quality for much less money. In all fairness, perhaps they just goofed on my bid.

They’re affiliated with Cosco. They send someone out, in my case Kevin, and they are basically estimate guys. They then send a crew out and there is a disconnect between the work that needs done and the price quoted. Not once has the guy come out when the job was being done by his crew. I had to pay his crew an extra $20 on the spot to do some touchup around the windows that was in the original estimate because of this disconnect in communication. He put me in the middle because the crew put me on the spot and he was not there. In my opinion I would never use him again. I would not recommend this guy. He is a nice guy, but he needs to be more hands on instead of just writing the contract. I just feel he has too much going on and he relies heavily on his crew. If the crew doesn’t like it then the homeowner is in the middle.

They were really reasonably priced. They were completely professional. They worked transparently. I work where I live and they didn’t interfere once. They did a great job. They were pleasant and personable. The owner and his wife were pleasant and personable. They are the owners of the company and I had direct contact. It was a pleasant experience.

They did a very nice job. They were polite and accommodating.

I had a really good experience with them. Their prices are reasonable and the quality is very good. They come when they say they will and they clean up well.

They were good. They did what they said they were going to do. They did it quick. They got the job done in one day with about 10 people. I know they didn’t plan it that way, but they had the people available. It was originally planned for about 3-4 days.
