Response from A-1 Concrete Leveling & Repair, INC
Over 90% of the requests for quotations are from satisfied customers who have had the patience for us to respond through our website and phone call ins. Many of those who respond thru Angie's list are frustrated when no phone number or address is given originally and we must work through the slow, day by day return email to extract the next level of minimal information required to contact the customer. Nearly every request through Angies List requires 3 or more days due to insufficient information initially. 1st. a request is listed w/ NO ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER, then as a small business I only review email requests in the evening thru one day is lost. Then I respond on day TWO saying I am interested and require a phone number / address and indicate the approximate time before I may visit a specific town / location. Now it's the THIRD DAY when a customer actually responds thru Angies List convoluted system where again, it's evening and finally find the customers direct contact information and on the FOURTH day I can actually call & confirm their application. Many calls can be resolved over the phone. For example, all concrete foundation crack repairs in basements do NOT require a visit and can be scheduled with FULL pricing, warranty info, and expected customer expectations resolved without a visit. Structural repairs will obviously require a visit but seepage cracks are very predictable and when reduced to just pricing, many requests can have an immediate decision. Other leveling work is given an approximate range with a minimum and maximum to aid in customer budgeting and can estimate full replacement cost by others with our vast experience of repair VS replacement. So, though I may not have responded as fast I I might like to we DO get back to every customer. Will try to go through the list of 140 requests for proposals over the last 4 weeks and try to find the application and a phone number to call on Monday.
