Greg Martyniak, President of GMART(Hanover Park, Illinois) was superior. It all started when I found some hail damage in front, and over the garage, and some on one side. Farmer's Insurance initially gave me $1900 and then boosted it to $4600. Greg worked with them, ending up with a fair settlement of $15,000. He was tireless with pictures, calls, and made the case that it all needed to be done, because at 30 years no siding matches were possible, gutters wouldn't match, etc. Now it looks like a doll house! He did so much more than was required, even having his guys do small pedestals for electrical/lights, when effective. In fairness, Farmer's Insurance paid attention to Greg and sent a high quality Review Officer out to review previous estimates. Greg could have done the job cheaper, and it would have looked very good, but we were fortunate that Farmer's was very honest and covered our damage completely. Have a look yourself. Greg (GMART owner) is very professional in his work. He promptly provided a competitive estimate and was able to accommodate us ahead of schedule. His siding professionals were very good, took their time to install the siding and didn't rush through the work. They cleaned at the end of every day taking away the old siding. Greg stopped by every day to monitor the progress and take any questions we had. He is meticulous in his work noting missed siding portion in the small corner of a gabel and a dent in the garage door wrap (which I didn't notice) and asked his installers to replace the wrap. Greg was helpful to provide updates and breakdown estimates for insurance purposes and in discussion with insurance - coverage only on two walls. I would have no reservation to recommend GMART!

They are very responsive and were at my home within a couple of hours to do the estimate. They had someone at my home the very next day to replace the old gutter that had to be replaced. They are very responsive and did a great job. I called at least six other places and they either would not come out because it was too small of a job, priced it too high, or were not responsive. GMART, Inc proved they were exactly what the reviews say in being the most responsive.

Greg came in within 2 hours of calling for an estimate. He provided an estimate within 24 hrs. We had called numerous contractors and some did not show up, others took very long to give us an estimate and several did not want to do the job because our house was built in 1890. Started the job on 12/9/14 and worked through cold weather conditions to get the job done. We are very satisfy with the results. The workmanship and attention to detail was excellent. Greg always made a point to always keep us updated on what his crew was doing. They were very professional and maintained a clean work site. The contractor came on time and performed an inspection of the Fascia on my house. Even though he didn't perform any work for me, i will use him the next time i need this kind of work done.

Greg was really great and easy to work with. He answered my initial call right away and was able to come and give us an estimate in the same day. We never had a good experience with professionals in the past so it was a very nice surprise for us that this time we got a pro service. From the beginning it looked like it was going to be another bad experience for us.Insurance was trying to down play the problem with our house and they were trying to convince us that all it would take to fix the damage is a little patch up job. We where ready to give up and accept whatever insurance was telling us . Thankfully we decided to give it one more try. We called Grzesiek from GMart inc. and he took care of everything. After getting everything done with insurance , Grzesiek and his team started working on our house. They took care of everything in about a week and a half . With Grzesiek We got the biggest bang for our money. Top of the line siding ,new flashing's, new fascias, over sized down spouts, new power outlets, wall accents ,and a very nice looking entrance. After everything was done we could not recognize our house. We are very ,very happy with the job Gmart done and we could recommend their services to anybody with our eyes closed.Professional service from start to finish with a lot of advices if you need any. Greg couldn't have been better to work with. He promptly returned my call and came out within a couple days of speaking. Upon arrival he inspected what I'd said were the issues and he clearly identified what needed to be done and how he was going to address each of the areas. Although immensely busy with other jobs he was able to squeeze our work in within a few days. He performed the work as he'd explained and we couldn't be happier with the results. He'll be our choice when we have any projects in the future.

We hired Gmart, Inc. to replace all of our old Tudor style siding with insulated vinyl siding. We also were replacing all the gutters and downspouts (he put in oversized downspouts without charging extra) and replaced 5 windows in our living room, 3 windows in our dining room and the 3 windows in the kitchen bay window eating area. We narrowed down our search to three companies and interviewed all three. We selected Gmart because the owner, Gregg Martyniak was not only knowledgeable and helpful in sorting through our options, but also offered really good design suggestions and helped us find ways to avoid spending money unnecessarily. We saved money by choosing GMart. It turns out we made the best possible choice in a contractor. Gregg has a good eye and worked as a partner with us to come up with designs that we felt enhanced the look of our house, in line with our style preferences. In addition, he impressed us with this honesty. He showed us how we could save money and get the same or better quality, even though he could have made more money himself without sharing this information. For example, we ordered our windows directly from a contractor supply company and while he could have done that himself and made a mark up, he did all the measurements so we could call in the order directly.(He gave us the choice and even spoke twice with the supply company to make sure we got the order right.) We could not have purchased the windows for less anywhere else. He is very honest, reliable and trustworthy. His crew was thorough, highly skilled and meticulous. They cleaned up every day so that the area was spotless. In fact, at the end, my wife commented that they left our property looking better and cleaner than before they came. Chris, the crew chief is very talented in many areas, including carpentry. They could have made us purchase the entire bay window pre-assembled which would have cost us thousands more. But to help us save money, the allowed us to order three windows and they rebuilt our bay window for the cost of the materials. Communication with Gregg was excellent. He keep in touch with us throughout, was here to oversee the first day and then stopped by regularly throughout the job. He was always responsive by phone -- calling back quickly when we had a question or wanted some input. He is a genuinely nice person. We could not be more pleased with the outcome -- the siding looks great and the windows are beautifully installed. The house is well insulated and we can feel the difference already in temperature consistency throughout the house, and more efficiency. All of our neighbors have commented on how great the house looks, and also on how detail-oriented the crew was. In fact, a few days after the job was completed, and the crew had left, the crew chief came back and did a final thorough inspection to make sure everything was done as it was supposed to be, and nothing was left unfinished. We have worked with many contractors over the years, and we can honestly say working the Gregg and GMart, Inc. was the best experience we have had -- a pleasure in every respect. This is what working with contractors "should" be like.

Greg and his team were exceptional. His attention to customer service is second to none, we were impressed from the start. He was punctual for every meeting, (to the minute) He took the time to explain every aspect of the work to be performed, he was extremely patient with all of our questions, and very helpful in making suggestions and recommendations. Greg really approached the work as if it were his own home, he made sure the crew took their time and did the work with quality versus expediency, in his business time is money, but he made certain that our job was staffed with top craftsmen and the requirements was exceptional quality, which is exactly what we received. In terms of Greg's crew, to the man each was respectful, punctual, and hardworking. Every workday the 1st hammer struck between 7:10 at 7:30 am and did not stop till late in the evening, 7pm or so. Chris was fantastic, he did an incredible job with our windows, and was consistently willing to provide us answers and recommendations when asked. If you do your windows, you want Chris on your crew! In terms of pricing and materials, Greg was very reasonable and willing to work with us to get what we wanted at a price that made sense for all of us. The materials were high quality products and once installed it was apparent! Overall our experience with Greg and the Gmart organziation was outstanding, it felt like a partnership versus a transaction. I would absolutely use Greg and the team for future projects, no questions asked. In fact I have already recommended him to family members for work on their houses. If you are interested in getting quality work, product, and service, GMART is the way to go!

The chimney on a rental property we own had gotten very badly rotted and we had ended up with squirrels in the attic for the second time. Greg came our as soon as spoke with him and gave a very reasonable estimate for the work that needed to be done. We met with him about a week later and looked the project over more carefully and made some adjustments to the work that he would be doing. We interviewed several other contractors, but his estimate seemed to be the most thorough and the most reasonable. We hired him to do the work and within a very short period of time he had the materials and was ready to go. He told us he would be starting on Monday and by Monday night we had pictures of the completed project e-mailed to us. We were astounded that he had gotten it all done so quickly. In addition to being quick and budget-friendly, he did a great job. If we have any other work that needs to be done on the house in the future, you can be sure we will be giving Greg a call.

Greg is awesome. There really isn't anything more to say... I called GMart and two other well reviewed companies on Angie's List for quotes on gutter repair, cleaning, and protection. Each company came out and provided free quotes... GMart was not only more competitive, but Greg pointed out other areas for improvement and items that should be addressed. He also provided an itemized quote for all the work being done, so I could have an idea of what I was paying for. Greg's suggestions were practical, reasonable, and he did not try to up-sell me on services that I did not need. GMart arrived on time, finished early, and cleaned up everything around the house. Greg also showed me before and after photos to illustrate the problems he fixed, and to protect both of us from any potential dispute regarding the work. GMart does everything outside the house, and I have a "go to guy" for any outdoor maintenance, repairs, or modifications to the home. I will definitely call GMart again.

Greg responded right away to my message from the Angie's List website, and he was at our house a few days later. He is knowledgeable about keeping water out of the house and that is his first priority, asking and confirming what he planned to do. He offered us several options in each area where there were, was very attentive to our wishes, and very clear with his explanations. His price quote was barely over half what the other four contractors wanted, so he got the job. The work came out absolutely lovely, and the cleanup was also thorough. His crew was cheerful and unobtrusive, and Greg himself was onsite for the whole job. We could not be happier with his way of doing business AND the final result. I would happily recommend GMART to anyone who asked me for advice on siding work.

Greg from Gmart was great to work with. I had a small issue with a piece of fascia that pulled away from the house and tore over the winter. Some of the wood needed to be replaced too. I contacted a number of companies to get estimates. Greg was quick in responding. A number of companies that I contacted, responded that someone would contact me, but they never did, including the company I used to replace my roof last summer. Greg was able to work around my schedule and came out within a couple of days to give me an estimate. I found his price to be very reasonable. He also pointed out some other areas that he said I should watch. One concern that both Greg and I had was matching the color of the Aluminum, since I didn?t have the color name or manufacturer, and the company I used for the siding 10 years ago was out of business. He was able to do a best guess and matched it very well, even accounting for the weathering. I scheduled it and his crew came out on time and did an excellent job, including showing me the color match before they started he job. Even though, this was a small job, I believe Greg and his crew treated it like any job they would do, with professionalism and a high quality of work. I will definitely use his services again.

If there was a grade above A, I would give it! Greg is a true pro, and we need more service providers like Greg and his team! I would in a second recommend GMART, Inc. to family and friends. Greg showed up as planned after only one phone call for an estimate on small minor repair work for aging aluminum siding, trim and gutters on a 35 year old Colonial. He spent a reasonable amount of time walking the property to inspect and suggest and explain areas that needed attention. But, he also went to the trouble to climb the roof for a closer look at a weirdly hanging gutter and found the reason the gutter was no longer attached was that a hole had formed. Because of a complete inspection, Greg provided a very complete and fair estimate including sections to be worked on and required materials. At the time of the estimate, he was also able to provide a guesstimate of how long the job would take to complete and how soon he might be able to insert us into his schedule. When we called to hire them, he provided a more complete estimated work date, and promised to and called 2 days before starting. The work was done on a Saturday and they showed up 2 hours earlier than expected. All the work was very professionally done, looks great and they cleaned up after themselves. They also went to the additional effort to do little related things like an extra piece of trim board here and there, or a little extra caulk because they were up there on a ladder anyway. And, most importantly, GMart did not modify the original estimate. They know that it is just good business to be thorough and that using their abilities in doing what they can for an overall job is much better than just doing the one thing they are told to do but blindly ignoring a popped nail just a foot away. You need these guys to do your project, and you will never be sorry for choosing them.

Due to one of the last bad winter storms part of the trim on our siding came loose in two spots. The wood underneath had rotted and the nails no longer held the trim in place. These were annoying because they came loose, not off, and would bang against the house when the wind blew. We also had a spot with an ice dam that was worrisome. Greg came out and did an inspection a few days after I called. He pointed out a couple of other spots that needed better caulking as well. We had a written quote within a few days, and scheduled him to come out for the work just a week after he first came out. The Saturday he scheduled to work, he arrived early. He started inspecting the area where the ice dam was to find out whether water was getting in. He also wanted to open up the soffit over the back door. He didn't like the way it looked and wanted to make sure it was sound. The cover pieces on the soffit where sagging slightly. The soffit, fortunately was dry and clean, but the original installer (not Greg) had not put in cross pieces to which to attach the trim. He pulled the siding off above that and located a hole behind the siding because the tyvek and flashing had not been installed correctly. About this time, his crew of two arrived and set up. Greg worked on the tyvek/flashing issue while his guys worked on the soffit and the siding above that. Then they moved around to the spot where the two problem trim pieces were. They replaced the rotted wood and put in new trim pieces. It took them about 2 - 2 1/2 hours to complete the work. They cleaned up after themselves nicely as well. Greg and his crew were awesome. He did not charge us for the additional work on the soffit, and it looks so much nicer than it did. Amazing what a difference small details make. This is the second time Greg has done a repair for us. The last one was a similar type of repair. He did a complete walk-around when he did our quote, and let us know that we would probably be doing small repairs like this til we bite the bullet and replace all the siding. He was more than willing to stick with the smaller scope of work, and I think he was very fair in his pricing. I would absolutely hire him again.

Greg was very responsive. He returned my phone call almost immediately and came out to look at the job site within a couple of days. He arrived early and answered all my questions, and suggested the best way to handle the project. Within a day he sent a proposal with a very reasonable price. He was able to start work about a week later, arrived on time with his crew, and was able to complete the work quickly. He did an excellent job in re-siding the garage. It looks like a brand new garage. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

This is the 2nd project I have used Greg for and as expected he told me what I could expect and delivered. Add to that the fact that he did it at the best price and I see no reason to use anyone else for windows or siding. I wish I could use him for the other projects I need done but Greg (to his credit) sticks to what he does best and doesn't try and do it all. I am planning a complete re-siding job in 2016 and plan to use him again.
