Greg responded right away to my message from the Angie's List website, and he was at our house a few days later. He is knowledgeable about keeping water out of the house and that is his first priority, asking and confirming what he planned to do. He offered us several options in each area where there were, was very attentive to our wishes, and very clear with his explanations. His price quote was barely over half what the other four contractors wanted, so he got the job. The work came out absolutely lovely, and the cleanup was also thorough. His crew was cheerful and unobtrusive, and Greg himself was onsite for the whole job. We could not be happier with his way of doing business AND the final result. I would happily recommend GMART to anyone who asked me for advice on siding work.

Greg from Gmart was great to work with. I had a small issue with a piece of fascia that pulled away from the house and tore over the winter. Some of the wood needed to be replaced too. I contacted a number of companies to get estimates. Greg was quick in responding. A number of companies that I contacted, responded that someone would contact me, but they never did, including the company I used to replace my roof last summer. Greg was able to work around my schedule and came out within a couple of days to give me an estimate. I found his price to be very reasonable. He also pointed out some other areas that he said I should watch. One concern that both Greg and I had was matching the color of the Aluminum, since I didn?t have the color name or manufacturer, and the company I used for the siding 10 years ago was out of business. He was able to do a best guess and matched it very well, even accounting for the weathering. I scheduled it and his crew came out on time and did an excellent job, including showing me the color match before they started he job. Even though, this was a small job, I believe Greg and his crew treated it like any job they would do, with professionalism and a high quality of work. I will definitely use his services again.

If there was a grade above A, I would give it! Greg is a true pro, and we need more service providers like Greg and his team! I would in a second recommend GMART, Inc. to family and friends. Greg showed up as planned after only one phone call for an estimate on small minor repair work for aging aluminum siding, trim and gutters on a 35 year old Colonial. He spent a reasonable amount of time walking the property to inspect and suggest and explain areas that needed attention. But, he also went to the trouble to climb the roof for a closer look at a weirdly hanging gutter and found the reason the gutter was no longer attached was that a hole had formed. Because of a complete inspection, Greg provided a very complete and fair estimate including sections to be worked on and required materials. At the time of the estimate, he was also able to provide a guesstimate of how long the job would take to complete and how soon he might be able to insert us into his schedule. When we called to hire them, he provided a more complete estimated work date, and promised to and called 2 days before starting. The work was done on a Saturday and they showed up 2 hours earlier than expected. All the work was very professionally done, looks great and they cleaned up after themselves. They also went to the additional effort to do little related things like an extra piece of trim board here and there, or a little extra caulk because they were up there on a ladder anyway. And, most importantly, GMart did not modify the original estimate. They know that it is just good business to be thorough and that using their abilities in doing what they can for an overall job is much better than just doing the one thing they are told to do but blindly ignoring a popped nail just a foot away. You need these guys to do your project, and you will never be sorry for choosing them.

Due to one of the last bad winter storms part of the trim on our siding came loose in two spots. The wood underneath had rotted and the nails no longer held the trim in place. These were annoying because they came loose, not off, and would bang against the house when the wind blew. We also had a spot with an ice dam that was worrisome. Greg came out and did an inspection a few days after I called. He pointed out a couple of other spots that needed better caulking as well. We had a written quote within a few days, and scheduled him to come out for the work just a week after he first came out. The Saturday he scheduled to work, he arrived early. He started inspecting the area where the ice dam was to find out whether water was getting in. He also wanted to open up the soffit over the back door. He didn't like the way it looked and wanted to make sure it was sound. The cover pieces on the soffit where sagging slightly. The soffit, fortunately was dry and clean, but the original installer (not Greg) had not put in cross pieces to which to attach the trim. He pulled the siding off above that and located a hole behind the siding because the tyvek and flashing had not been installed correctly. About this time, his crew of two arrived and set up. Greg worked on the tyvek/flashing issue while his guys worked on the soffit and the siding above that. Then they moved around to the spot where the two problem trim pieces were. They replaced the rotted wood and put in new trim pieces. It took them about 2 - 2 1/2 hours to complete the work. They cleaned up after themselves nicely as well. Greg and his crew were awesome. He did not charge us for the additional work on the soffit, and it looks so much nicer than it did. Amazing what a difference small details make. This is the second time Greg has done a repair for us. The last one was a similar type of repair. He did a complete walk-around when he did our quote, and let us know that we would probably be doing small repairs like this til we bite the bullet and replace all the siding. He was more than willing to stick with the smaller scope of work, and I think he was very fair in his pricing. I would absolutely hire him again.

Greg was very responsive. He returned my phone call almost immediately and came out to look at the job site within a couple of days. He arrived early and answered all my questions, and suggested the best way to handle the project. Within a day he sent a proposal with a very reasonable price. He was able to start work about a week later, arrived on time with his crew, and was able to complete the work quickly. He did an excellent job in re-siding the garage. It looks like a brand new garage. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

This is the 2nd project I have used Greg for and as expected he told me what I could expect and delivered. Add to that the fact that he did it at the best price and I see no reason to use anyone else for windows or siding. I wish I could use him for the other projects I need done but Greg (to his credit) sticks to what he does best and doesn't try and do it all. I am planning a complete re-siding job in 2016 and plan to use him again.

I just purchased an old home and discovered it needs far more work than anticipated. Leaking issues identified from the roof led to concern that defects in the wood siding also needed to be addressed. The siding, soffit and fascia is in rough shape and even coming loose in spots and contractors told me everything from "all the siding needs to be replaced now" to suggestions to replace this section or another. Cost estimates ranged from $4K - $10K on top of roof, boiler and chimney repairs that were needed. Greg was willing to work with me and answered honestly even when it meant he might not sell as much. Rather than using scare tactics like some, he could see that the leaks were from the roof and not the siding and told me so. He indicated that while the siding was in rough shape and re-siding would be a good idea, he recognized my need to prioritize and said the roof and chimney issues (work I need to hire another contractor for) needed to be my first priority and residing could wait if I fixed the the major issues . He suggested he just secure the loose boards and patch and repair all the way around this large house buying me a couple more years before I have to totally re-side. His guy came out and very efficiently fixed loose boards, secured loose trim, patched where needed and did the same all the way around the house. I'm very happy with and will use him again.

Gregory gave me very good, competitive price. The work started right on time. Gregory had a few suggestions for the job, that were very good. There were three workers, including Gregory. They complete my job in a minimum amount of time. GMart's workmanship was excellent. I would definitely hire Gmart again. In fact, I am thinking on replacing my windows in the near future; and will definitely give Gmart a call.

We had an appointment to meet for an estimate after work, approximately 5:00. I got there around 4:50 and he was waiting for me. I was impressed. He could have started right away since he was finishing up another job in the area, but I wanted the job started in two weeks. He emailed me the same quote he gave me verbally. He started the job at 8:00 and was finished by 10:30. We thought the wood behind the gutters was rotten and would have to be replaced, but it was in good shape, so he took $150 off my quote. I was really impressed with his integrity. I wouldn't have know the difference and would have paid the higher price not knowing. The workers were very professional. They cleaned everything up and took it with them. They even fixed the gutter in the front of the house that another company installed incorrectly a few years ago and cleaned out that gutter for me, both at no charge. All in all I would definitely hire GMart again. Next year windows are in the budget and I will definitely be calling GMart!

I had previously had a contractor out to look at my siding and was told it would need to be replaced. Greg came out and told me the siding was in good shape. While Greg couldn't do the work I needed, he saved me $2000 and gave me a name of someone who would fix my problem. When I have future work to do, Greg fro GMART will be my go to guy for siding, gutters, and windows - his prices for those estimates were amazing!

I had been reviewing vinyl siding contractors for the last week in order to select one for my home. I finally decided on three candidates and sent each an e-mail requesting a date for inspection and estimate for the project. Mr. Martyniak was the first one to contact me on that very same day the e-mail was sent. At this time I have decided to increase the size of the project and have chosen another contractor that would be able to do all of it. Had I stayed with the original plan of only doing siding I would have definitely chosen GMART, not only due to the great price but also because Mr. Martyniak's professionalism that put us at ease.

From the very Start, I had a good feeling about this company Greg and his crew were very professional during the work preformed at my home. I called to get a quote and Greg showed up on time and was very informative. We walk thru the scope and he'd pointed out some things that needed to be done. This was a very pleasant process and I will definitely call him for future projects.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Greg and his crew. They worked tirelessly and carefully to get everything done on time and the work was exceptional. Every day I would walk around and tell them how much I loved everything and each time they would smile and then do something else that was exceptional. When you have such a large undertaking of a renovation as this, most people spend the week being stressed out but these guys were so wonderful to work with, I never felt that way. The house is over 50 years old so there were strange, uneven lines here and there but Greg knew just what to do to fix it and never one had the attitude you so often hear of "OK, I can do this but it's going to cost you." He was always willing to discuss things and see what I thought, and often times I just left it to him. Because I wanted a front door but didn't want to replace the entire frame with the side light windows (special order, very expensive) he bought a door and they cut it into the existing frame and it looks awesome. When the job was finished (on time, just like they promised), they went around and cleaned up everything, including things I wanted thrown out but couldn't lift. I am so happy to not only have an awesome looking house, but to know a contractor who has the knowledge and work ethic of Greg and his crew. I highly recommend them for any siding, gutter or window and door work you need. The price was amazing and the workmanship was stellar.

He responded immediately by phone & was here the next morning. Was fast, efficient and very reasonable. Not many people will take small jobs like this. If I ever have any more vinyl siding issues I will call Gmart.

Recently I have had bad experiences with contractors in general. Finally, GMART came to my rescue. These guys were ontime, professional, and followed up quickly on any requests that I had. When the job was done, Greg walked the area and made sure I was happy with all aspects of teh job. If you are considering new gutters for your home, you need to call GMART.

The experience was excellent. Greg was very knowledgable and informative. Not even for a second did I feel he was in a hurry to take my money and move on with another project. He explained every single detail and even went out of his way to perform a minor replacement of some rotted siding on my garage without asking for extra money. Greg was very responsive to my requests and questions. His crew was on time and very clean. They did an excellent job explaining what they were about to install before they installed it such as when they were installing the downspouts. To summarize, I truly felt my project was the only and most important project Greg and his crew were working on.

It's not very often that you work with a contractor that you really wish you could give more work to - thank you to Angie's List for a good match! First of all, Greg went above and beyond with the pre-work service. He was extremely thorough, transparent and patient while we went through the process of selecting the right siding, even giving us a list of houses we could look at that had the styles and colors we were considering: Us:"you understand it's a hard decision since we have to look at it for the next ten years" Greg: "twenty years!" - He also went through the job in great detail, explaining all the work he would do, materials he would use (and why) and the additional details that could have cost us extra. This gave us a great deal of confidence and overall feeling that he was looking out for us and was on our side, as if it were his own house he were working on. He even suggested things we could do ourselves that would save us money rather than asking him to do it (like light painting.) So the estimate was updated, the work scheduled (including working around a tuck-pointing job we wanted done, and contacting the other contractor), and they turned up on cue. Everything went very well, with the usual little hassles here and there - don't need to go into detail, but suffice to say that Greg did the 'right thing' every time and was still a joy to work with. We also asked him to do a few additional things (e.g., mounting window boxes), and he suggested a few things that made complete sense (like putting a mount up for the exterior lights). We kept an eye on the work and Greg's crew were good guys and diligent workers. I even got my wrist slapped a little for walking in the work area without shoes! Now that we're on the other side, we love the new look of the house, all the aesthetic and structural details that Greg included, and have great confidence that the work was done well and our house is better for it. We highly recommend him to our neighbors and our Angie's List friends.

It went smoothly, took about 8 hrs. to conclude. Work looks great, workers were very professional and cleaned the property after installation. This was my 2nd encounter with G Mart and once again, I was very well pleased with their service, would highly recommend G Mart to all my acquaintances. This is also my 2nd review. Feel the price was right.

Excellent work!! Gregg needed to cut down the gutter and downspout before re-installing, in order to correct the pitch. He also had patched/sealed the end cap which had sprung a leak. Cost of repairs was more than reasonable for the work done. Gregg goes that extra step in order to satisfy a customer, had to clean and wash down the gutter prior to beginning repairs. Could have charged me extra for that procedure but did not. I highly recommend this firm for both, price and workmanship and have already made arrangements to use Gregg for installing leaf guards plus installation of several broken gutter hangers, in the near future. Giving this business an A+ rating.

I am new to Angies list but my first review is for a terrific company that I have used three times now, Gmart in Buffalo Grove, IL. Greg from Gmart has once again provided absolutely incredible service and products. I used Gmart last year for a new gutter and gutter guard replacement for my parents house in Glen Ellyn, IL.The entire gutter replacement including an excellent gutter guard system was completed at the quoted price with excellent materials. He did an absolutely wonderful job well below other estimates. His quick response and professional competence at completing the job efficiently was much appreciated. He did not even up charge for small additional service required after the job started. After a major storm this year that damaged my parents gutters and fascia, Greg came out and for a fraction of other quotes repaired all damaged items like new. I first used Gmart in 2010 to completely reside and replace all siding and gutters for my own house in Hoffman Estates, IL.. His work and price was so incredible he is in my contacts for anytime I need gutter or siding work. Just a good old fashioned hard working individual with excellent materials, I absolutely recommend Greg from Gmart, Inc for any gutter and siding projects you may have.

Greg arrived as scheduled for the estimate. He was very thorough in looking over the soffits and trim pieces. He pointed out several areas that we had not noticed that needed attention. His price was fair, so we arranged a time for the work. He wound up having a conflict so came a day early. Early! Who comes early anymore. He explained clearly what he was able to do and the likely duration of his repair. The previous owner had a very cheap siding job done where they took a lot of shortcuts. He was very upfront about that. Greg and his helper were efficient. They finished in about 3-4 hours. Overall they were very neat. I do wish they had put a dropcloth or other covering over the A/C unit as a precautionary measure. The rotten wood they were removing was very messy, but they cleaned up almost all of it anyway. Maybe an A- on neatness. It is such a relief to have the loose trim pieces repaired. I would definitely hire Greg again and recommend him to friends.
