Vito was very knowledgeable and pleasantly professional. His workers were also very easy to deal with and the project went smoothly. The driveway looks great and almost two years later it has held up well with no cracking. We have gotten many compliments on it from our neighbors. I would definitely use them again for any stamped concrete work and am very pleased I chose them to do the job.

Vito came out quickly and gave recommendations for location to place in the yard. They helped with getting permits as well. Pricing in line with other estimates. Overall good experience.

Vito and his team did an outstanding job! Removal and framing was done in one day. The crew was there right at 7pm and worked very hard and efficiently as a team. Vito kept me informed about the progress at all times and Maddie back in the office answered all my questions promptly. Pouring was pushed back two days because of cold nights in the forecast and Vito did not want to risk anything. Pouring was completed within 5 hours (total of 1,200 sqf) and the crew worked with great attention to details. The new driveway looks fabulous!!

I was very, very happy with G-Cat. This is the way a business should be run. The ladies of the office were always on point with their communication and Vito, who came to quote the job, explained it in detail. I am especially happy with the fact that they accommodated a timeline that I was working with. I would highly recommend them for any concrete work that you might need.

The entire project went extremely well. They first started by demolishing our old deck in a very quick amount of time. Followed by all the necessary steps for the patio. We worked closely with Vito who helped with the design and explained all the steps that they were going to follow and in the process. He was extremely patient and offered ideas and advice for the design of the patio and steps. The entire company including the office staff was very friendly, answered all of our numerous questions and were responsive to keep us informed of the start date. Given all the rain we had this summer, our start date was pushed back a number of times but we were always informed of a new possible start date. The Gcat crew worked extremely efficiently and cleanly in the entire process. We are very happy with the finished product and would recommend Gcat to anyone who is looking for a new patio, driveway, etc. I will use them again if the need arises.

I received estimates for the exact same scope of work from five different concrete contractors. G-Cat was not the cheapest, but they were certainly in the range of the other contractors. After throwing out the lowest bid (a company that had terrible reviews in the BBB, yet many of my neighbors have used), price wasn't really a factor. I spoke with Vito a couple of times and he was right on time for the estimate. The way he talked about the job and listened to what I was looking gave me assurance that they could do the job well. They also have great reviews here on Angie's List and at the BBB (A+ I believe). The only issue, and this was out of their control, was it took close to 9 weeks from the time we signed the contract to the date they started. The estimated time was 6 weeks, but the weather we had in the early summer pushed them back. You can't control the weather and they were always responsive when I asked for an update. When the job was scheduled to start, Vito came back by to discuss the the details of the job again and his crew was there right on time on the start date. They worked very fast, had everything removed in no time. When I came home from work, the only evidence that they were there was the missing driveway. Other than that, they cleaned up the site very well and left no trace. They came back to pour the concrete and again were right on-time and worked very cleanly. I am incredibly pleased with the finished product. It looks great, and is sloped appropriately. I highly recommend G-Cat for any concrete needs. Compared to all of the other companies I spoke with, they were certainly the right choice!

Patio was a surprise for my wife and G-Cat worked with me to achieve a COMPLETE surprise. They coordinated their schedule with mine and did the patio work during our Florida vacation so when we got home and my wife saw the patio it was priceless!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this company. I'm a perfectionist and they pleased me. This company was professional, perfect and polite. I had not been looking forward to getting our cement driveway done because I knew it was going to be a mess and I would be worrying about it cracking in 6 months. Well, over a year later and it looks beautiful. This company put my mind at ease during the project because they explained the whole process. Our village was even raving about them when we went to pick up our permit for the job. Vito made some great design suggestions that improved the look of my walk-way. It goes to show you that when your working with a great company they go above and beyond. I would suggest this company to anyone. I work in the construction industry and I know how women can get treated. I never felt disrespected or talked down to from the start of the project to the finish. I will be using this company in the future.

We decided not to proceed with having a patio installed for the time being, but if we do in the future we will be calling G-Cat. Vito came out to give us a quote and he was professional, informative, and very nice.

Vito and his crew were great. They are all knowledgeable, considerate, hard working individuals. I was impressed with everyone as well as the whole process. They arrived on time and within 3-4 hours had my old 120 foot driveway removed and hauled away. I also had 2 concrete porches that need to be jack hammered and removed. Although they had arrived by 7 a.m., I don't think they left before 6 p.m. that first day. Everything was framed and half the substrate was down. The second day was the day of the new concrete pour. They worked hard and took pride in finishing the surface so that it was consistent from front to back. The end result is absolutely beautiful. During the entire process, Vito kept me informed and involved as needed. The crew left my lawn as they had found it - no trash nor damage from equipment or materials that had been staged there. I'd highly recommend G-Cat Construction to anyone needing cement work. On a scale from 1 to 10, I think they were a 20.

I contacted G-Cat to perform the work as mentioned above. From the first time I contacted Vito he was always there for us. His response to my original call was prompt. Vito set up a date to stop by, he reviewed the work needed providing a quote and estimated date the work was to begin. Vito was very clear with us as to what we needed to do and what his services would provide. No surprises. Once the start date approached, I was contacted with Vito explaining how things should progress weather permitted. Vito provided me with his cell phone number and answered most every time I called him. If he didn't answer and I left him a VM he was always prompt to return my call with a friendly voice. The G-Cat crews where always polite and courteous always making sure the work site was clean prior to leaving for the day. I had the apron to my driveway replaced by my Village about two months prior to G-Cat performing this work and Vito took the time to put sheets of plywood on this fresh surface so that it was kept in like new condition. Vito and his crew even power washed the street when done for the day. The workmanship of this company is unmatched. They raked the entire front yard when done making sure nothing was left behind. I could not be happier with the work that was done by G-Cat construction. IT LOOKS GREAT!!!! NICE JOB FROM START TO FINISH!

They were prompt professional and courtesic. They provided a beautiful well designed new porch. The driveway is level straight and well reinforced. The slightly relocated the front walkway to the porch from driveway making easier access to house

I will begin this review with some background. I have been in business for over 25 years and I am very aware of professional sevices and delivery of client expectations. I received G-Cat construction's name from a client that I work with and told me about the experience he had with Vito and Jillian the owners of the company. I called late last year and after speaking with Jillian about an appointment Vito was at my home 2 days later. We spoke about his services and how the company operates and I was impressed with his knowledge and some of his suggestions. I called Jillian in May and agreed to move forward. I am a little suprised at the few negative reviews because my experince was nothing like any of those reviews. Before the project was to begin I wanted to have a meeting about color and concept. Jillian worked around my schedule and came to my home at 6:30 in the evening. She helped in the process of selection and I signed the contract. It is not a secret that the weather this summer in Chicago has been very rainy and the project had to be pushed back a couple weeks and I completely understood. I recieved a call from Vito a couple of days before the project was to begin and he came out again to go over things and again made some additional recommedations which I thought were outstanding. I agreed and the project was to begin 2 days later. The first morning I was blown away 3 massive trucks and a huge crew were running all over the place. It was very impressive to watch. As I was leaving I did not realize that Vito was working with his crew and was directing the whole project. Vito followed up with me each night to explain what would happen each day. Great customer service! The reason I took the time to write a longer review is because customer service is hard to come by these days. The project turned out fantastic and I could not be happier. A couple of days after completion I needed something to be looked at and Vito assured me someone would be there in the morning and 7:00 am they were at the door. I would reccomend G-Cat not only for there professionalism but also for there work. Happy customer and look forward to using G-cat in the future. Last thought I have is that Vito and Jillian really take pride in there company and there work and that is the type of people I want to do business!!!!

Vito came out to look at our project and provide an estimate in early Spring. My initial impression was that he really knew his business and that he takes pride in his work and cares about providing a quality product and service. My initial impression was correct. His attitude extends to his work crew who were fabulous. They worked well as a team and were attentive to the smallest detail in making sure the finished product would be perfect. My new porch has a "chiseled slate" texture and my front walk was done in the "Fieldstone" pattern. The decorative concrete has made a big difference in the appearance of the front of the house. All the neighbors have been by to complement the new look. It's so nice to find a company where all the employees really take pride in their work. We are already thinking about our next job for Vito and his crew for the back patio.

the work was done as stated. there was a problem however, the floor did not drain properly and did form puddles.also the door is slightly warped and did not meet the floor in all places. after calling and explaining the problem they came out. they indicated that they would break up the back part of the floor and re pour so it would drain and match the door. within 2 hours a crew of 11 men and at least 3 trucks were here. all of the work was finished by the afternoon.i have never worked with a company that corrected a mistake so fast and without trying to get out of the problem. their price is a little high however based on their service i would use them again

After having an estimate scheduled for 2 weeks, GCat called the day of the appointment to say that we were apparently out of their service area. Very unprofessional.

iVito Nitti and his crew were the consummate professionals during our patio build. The job went well from start to finish and we always felt as if we were in good hands with G-Cat. Vito communicated well during the process, so that we were always informed as to the status of our project. After the job was finished, Vito stayed in touch with us to ensure our happiness. Vito worked well within the confines of this rainy Summer and never seemed to put our project in jeopardy by working when the weather was not conducive to the concrete. My husband and I highly recommend this company.

After applying for our permit late last fall, the weather finally cooperated for this large job in May 2014. Once we were scheduled the work proceeded and the pour was done by the fifth day. We had a slight delay since we had to have an electrician replace the conduit under the patio to our garage. The workers did excellent work and always made sure that we had a place to exit and enter our home. Once the village approved the pre-pour construction, the concrete was poured and finished the day after inspection. We could not drive on the new concrete for seven days even though G-Cat came two days later to take away all the forms. We could walk on everything but the precaution was for cars. We were responsible for filling in the dirt after the forms were removed and had to have this done before the village would approve the final inspection. G-Cat and all their workers were very professional and the drive and patio were pitched to ensure water would drain away from the house. They enlarged our back stoop making it much easier to get in and out of our back door. All in all, they did an excellent job and we would recommend them to anyone needing this type of work.

This is a family owned business. Mr. Nitti came out to provide an estimate as well as suggestions on how to best improve the appearance of the project. The price was in line with other estimates, however Mr. Nitti clearly cared enough to make less costly suggestions that enhanced the overall outcome. His wife, Jillian was wonderful as well. She assisted us in choosing colors that would enhance the existing structures of our house. This team of professionals communicated well throughout the process. Both cared about the outcome and customer satisfaction. It is nice to know integrity and professionalism still exist today. I recommend G-Cat without hesitation and look forward to working with them in the future when we replace our driveway.

The demo and prep work was completed in one day, the weather turned rainy for several days and the work was not completed until the end of the following week. The end product is great and was worth the wait. We have recommended them to a neighbor who is also having concrete work done. I would highly recommend them for any concrete work.

went very smoothly. Vinnie gave me an estimate and IT WAS A VERY REASONABLE PRICE!. They called day before to let me know when they would be there, and were very quick and professional. Vinnie called me upon completion to see if i was satisfied and had any questions. They worked with me all the way thru and even took some stones to my sisters house nearby for me. GREAT QUALITY AND VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FAST WITH GREAT PRICE! WHAT MORE CAN I SAY. I WOULD DEFINATELY USE THEM AGAIN AND RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.

We were not sure if we would have to tear up the patio and he told us he could just put a new layer on top and we appreciate his honesty in the matter. He was also very professional and knowledgable. He gave us a list of references for work done in the past and told us where we could go to see various examples of different concrete treatments. He knows when to pour the concrete and patience is necessary as the weather must be right for the concrete to set correctly. We would highly recommend looking at their physical location as they have a large number examples on display.

Every aspect of the job was handled so well. Vito and his crew went above and beyond the agreed upon items in the contract. The new addition foundation matched up perfectly with the existing foundation and the floors were met dead on. He also had to cut an opening for a doorway to lead into the existing basement. Vito and his crew do not need to be babysit. They come to work and do not cut any corners. I almost find myself trying to create more project just so I can use him for more work. Please strongly consider G Cat for your next project. And if you to do stamped concrete there is no better company. I vetted 6 different companies before I went with G Cat. Our walkway and porch are a thing of beauty and everyone that sees it comments on how beautiful it is.

Vito came out on schedule and spent a great deal of time with my wife and me, going over our options. He was very professional in answering all our questions and concerns as we had lots of questions on the process. He didn't rush us and made us feel as all our questions were legitimate and important. If we had not decided to do pavers instead, we would have signed up with GCAT based on their past Angie's review and personableness.
