So thrilled with my new mudroom lockers! Our designer, Rich, really listened to my wish list, looked at all the pictures I showed him, and asked questions I hadn’t even thought of to make sure he was incorporating everything into his designs. He was very responsive via emails and answered all of my questions and changes. Their quote was also the most affordable and reasonable compared to the three other companies I was exploring. Fast forward two weeks to the actual installation day and Justin came right on time, fully prepared to install the lockers and did a phenomenal job! He was very nice, respectful of our home, and quietly went about building the lockers. He made a few changes on the fly at my request and I was blown away by his willing to accommodate some last minute changes. Very impressed with Closet Organizing System, HIGHLY recommend them, and will definitely use them again!

Tom, our designer, and John, our installer, were both excellent to work with. The design plans and install were done very quickly and we couldn't be happier with the final result. We have plans to have them redesign our master bedroom closet next.

Fantastic! This is my second project with COS. From design (Rich), to scheduling (Pam), to installation (Tony), the entire COS team was outstanding--professional, positive--and patient with me. This was a smallish project and I kept having contractor delays on my end with finishing the rest of the work in the room. It was 9 months from the signing of the contract to things being ready on my end to schedule the installation! Pam could not have been nicer or more infinitely patient with a great sense of humor--a joy to interact with! The final result is perfection--great functionality and aesthetically pleasing. Everything went great. Rich was a pleasure to work with. He stayed within our budget, and addressed our needs. He really listened, even when I had some last minute changes. The installation was smooth, and the cabinets look great and feel really high quality. We are very happy and would hire them again.

This was one of the most positive experiences we have ever had with a contractor. Within one day of contacting Closet Organizing System via email we received a callback. We explained what our goal was and what we were interested in pursuing. We then received a very prompt call from the Designer, Rich, who set up an appointment at our convenience in the evening since we both work. He listened carefully to what our goals were and took measurements of all the spaces. His then went to work on designing the systems for each space. He kept us updated through email on his progress. Again at our convenience in the evening he presented his ideas. He was right on and we loved everything he suggested. He was a true professional with over 30 years of experience in designing and installing closet systems. We even discovered that he had installed my in-laws systems 25 years ago. They still look great and are very functional. The pricing was right where we thought it would be and within our budget so we approved the project. Rich clearly explained what prep work would have to be done (removal of existing shelving, patching of holes and painting). We contacted our painter and created a schedule to do the project in two phases over two weeks. They were very accommodating to again meet our busy work schedules. The coordinator contacted us via email two to assure that everything was set up correctly. The project was then handed over to the installer, Todd. He was a true professional, very courteous, and knew what he was doing. All surfaces were protected and cleanup when he was done. The end product is fabulous. The night that the project was completed, Rich came by to check the work and to assure that we were happy. Incredible Customer Service from start to finish. The entire process took less than a month. We good not be happier and would recommend this organization to anyone seeking to better organize their living space.

Outstanding service. Installed on time as the order stated. We used them several months ago to do our outdated reach in closets and they did a great job. We decided to contact Rich the designer again to see what he could do with our basic shelving in our laundry room. He asked a few questions and emailed us the design that night. No pressure sales and presented to us what he could build and we got to pick and chose what we wanted completed. The day of the installation went really well. Steve came out and installed the shelving. He also did the install on the initial project we did for our closets. Quality instal with absolutely no issues. We would use them again, but we have ran out of closets and storages areas. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Closet OS Rep arranged first visit to my home where he measured the space and asked me questions so that he could prepare an initial closet system design and rough cost estimate. I had 2 different companies I was working with on initial designs/estimates with my plan being to pick one and go forward. Closet OS rep was able to produce an initial baseline design that I liked very much based entirely on our first visit. I attribute that to: (a) he came prepared with pointed questions and samples for me (b) he did a high level inventory of my closet contents plus measured closet space (c) he listened to and incorporated my ideas and preferences where possible. Closet OS rep then scheduled phone/webex session with me where he presented his initial design and solicited feedback from me. There were discussions and design changes as we both expected. Meanwhile, now that we had a working rough design in hand, my husband and I affirmed our decision to vault the closet ceiling. Across the entire design effort, the provider rep was very patient and accommodating but also, if something was not advised or if it needed to be thought through more, he took the time to explain and work it through so we/I could arrive at confident design decisions. As the vaulted ceiling and electrical rerouting work was being completed, Closet OS reps relayed electrical requirements to our electrician to ensure good coordination across the 2 service providers. Once vaulted ceiling and electrical construction was complete, Closet OS rep returned to my home for a final measure and to finalize all closet system material selections using larger samples suited to my preferences. Once we had a final approved design/estimate and we put deposit down, the closet system install date was set for 42 days later. I was hoping for sooner but I did ask around and found that the wait time here was pretty standard and reasonable for a custom closet. The provider did meet the install date as planned with a minor exception around the glass doors as a piece of custom glass was chipped enroute. My only complaint for this whole effort from start to finish was there was a little communication breakdown when the reorder of the custom glass became difficult to obtain in a timely fashion. I felt the situation could have been handled better by more closely managing communications with the glass provider and the subsequent updates to me. The installers were both good communicators, meticulous in how they treated my home and their courtesy towards me, and their help and craftsmanship to ensure a quality install result. Ultimately, my Closet OS Rep did ensure every element of the job was handled to my satisfaction and I am very, very happy with the result. I am a detailed oriented person who was very engaged in the process and I know from personal experience, not all reps are capable of dealing with this type of customer or understanding that the more the customer is engaged, the happier and more aligned the custom end result will be. And, as an added bonus, I actually do not mind doing my laundry now because I now enjoy putting my clothes away as I now have "a place for everything and everything in its place" (Reverend Charles Augustus Goodrich, circa 1790). Last but not least, very Special Thanks to my Closet OS Rep, Rich Kuban, who came to the table with a lot of experience, proficiency, patience, and was just as committed to a quality and happy result as I was - a pleasure to work with - thank you Rich!

Bob Younger came to the house and we discussed everything I wanted done. After I agreed to the price, the work was scheduled within a short period of time. However, I needed to change the date of the closet installation, and they were very accommodating. On the day of the installation, Justin arrived on time, and got to work immediately. The work was finished in a few hours. It was a very professional job, and Justin cleaned up any debris afterward. I am very happy with the work that was done and would not hesitate to use their services again, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We love our new closet. The design process was painless. Rich and Steve were both wonderful to work with. It was worth the money we paid, as we are very happy with every aspect of our transaction. We will definitely use them in the future.

I hired Closet Organizing Systems to design and install shelving for a linen closet and a complete master closet. I received an immediate response after emailing the company, and the consultant scheduled an appointment a few days later. She was very helpful and listened to all of my needs, and was also able to make some suggestions that I ended up including in the project. I received an estimate and renderings the following day, and signed the contract after a few minor changes. The work was scheduled for several weeks later, and the installer was very courteous and a pleasure to work with. I am very pleased with both closets and would definitely recommend COS.

Our project entailed replacing the existing old and not very functional organizing units in our guest room closets as well as installing a new unit in a small office closet. All three closets are reach-in type and we chose basic white melamine/particleboard units. This company was one of two well-rated ones I found on Angie's List. After receiving estimates from both, we decided without hesitation that this was the better company. Price was not the issue--both were competitive. The difference was that COS sent out a designer--even for a small project like ours. The other company asked me to fax in my measurements and then emailed their design and estimate to me. You cannot replace the personal component of meeting face-to-face with a professional. Rich Kuben, our designer, was extremely knowledgeable, experienced and professional. He had great ideas and suggestions and was delightful to work with. We received our designs promptly and he was very responsive via phone and email with answering our follow-up questions. The scheduling process throughout was pleasant and efficient thanks to Pam and Kim. Installation with Steve was efficient and well done with a smile and great clean-up. Everyone involved from start to finish was professional, positive and made me feel like I was a valued customer. I will definitely hire COS again and will recommend them to others. Well done!

The staff was very very good. They took there time and took our suggestions. I would tell a friend by all means call them.

COS did great at scheduling and confirming the April 17 meeting for an initial design. All personnel were on time throughout. My instructions to the designer, Tom Mayfield, were to give me cabinets for $1,000 for the items I then had in a wire bookcase and plastic boxes and bins on the floor of the laundry room, and if space were left over to build in room for large bags like sports bags. I told Tom that I could not read an architectural sketch, so that I was relying on his design. He told me that his design, which was to use the whole wall, would offer a lot more space than I currently had in my wire bookcase, and that there would be room left over for a hanging closet. We spent way too much time with him trying to explain to me his drawing, because I can't visualize widths, angles and directions of doors from architectural drawings. I decided to trust him since I had explained my priorities and what I wanted and since COS had such great reviews. I then faced a few surprises when it came time to sign. The price was well over the budget I had provided, included 3 doors of the design we had discussed and a fourth flat panel, and included no backing (shelves were flush against the wall, which in fact worked out but I find it inappropriate to be told at the end to initial that backing would cost more when we had always discussed "cabinets"). When built on May 7, the system was very nice, solid and well made by installer John Lyons who was very pleasant and also did a great job of keeping the area clean), but Tom's design was poor. Over one quarter of the space was wasted with a hanging closet accessible only through an 8" wide opening the user would have to reach through standing at an awkward, diagonal angle. One quarter of the remaining space was wasted through narrow shoe shelves, wide enough for only 3 shoes at a time, to create the 8" access (my husband's muscular arm is as wide as the amount of access given to get into a 22" wide, floor-length hanging closet!). The bottom portion of the other half also wasted space. After an unhappy meeting with Tom and various emails and calls expressing my disappointment and explaining the problems, COS was very helpful about removing the useless design features and substituting conventional shelves in the unacceptable half. The replacement install on June 8 finally gave me the space I had expected and is very satisfactory. My lessons learned were (1) I had read about and hoped for a good organizer being able to design shelving to hold things in a logical way and maximize use of the space. Either that hope was a waste of time, money and effort, or I did not get a good design. The replacement shelves installed June 8 (the full width of the space, straight all the way across, like a bookcase) were far more efficient and generated far more useable space than Tom's fancy attempt at different widths and sizes. (2) my m.o. has been that if a provider gets as good reviews as COS had that I may not get multiple estimates and seek designs from multiple companies. Given that I am paying $2,000 when I told Tom I hoped to spend $1,000 (and truly expected beforehand to pay $1400), this did not serve me well, and I definitely would recommend getting another estimate besides COS. (3) if I can't understand the plans, don't do it--simpler is better. Be cautious trusting the "designer." (4) if I get hit with surprises in price when it is time to sign, next time, I hope I will walk away. At the time I felt like I had invested too much time (I work) to go through the same process with someone else, but the last minute surprises in price were obnoxious and probably a warning sign that the design hadn't been well thought out. With the replacements, the system is very nice and well-made, give me the space I had wanted, and should add value to the house, but I would definitely get multiple estimates and go with a straightforward design next time.

Very responsive and professional. Excellent customer service. Listened to our needs and worked with us on-site to create visuals so we could easily envision what closets would look like. Also provided us with an estimate at the same time and stuck to that estimate. Installation was quick. Would use again to organize other closets in our home and highly recommend to others.

Listen only a couple days we had someone come out to our home to install our new closet system. Manner of only a few hours the class it was finished. The materials they use to extremely sturdy. We were able to get everything into our closet that we needed to. We realized we should have done this 15 years ago when we first moved in.

From beginning to end, the experience was smooth and pleasant. I emailed them on December 7, which was a Sunday. I immediately received a reply from Bill, the owner, asking me for a number they could call me at on Monday. Making an appointment was extremely pleasant. I was able to set an appointment on December 11 and I was assigned Mr. Tom Mayfield as the designer. I met up with Tom in my downtown condo. He demonstrated his expertise and was extremely helpful in helping me make decisions. I happened to mention that I wish I hadn't procrastinated because it would have been nice to have the project completed before family visits on the 26th. He indicated he could make it happen. We decided to meet the following night in their showroom which is close to my primary home. It was a rainy Friday night and understandably, Tom was held up in traffic. In the meantime, I was entertained by the owner, who started to educate me on the options and gave me the company background. (I apologize I don't remember the name but it may have been Bill.) Tom showed me his design and was very patient in accommodating my alterations. The only thing I have to mention is that the design was done on paper, so I felt guilty every time I have to have him erase and re-do parts of the drawing. I expected it to be done on a computer. :) Due to my tight timetable, I did not have all the options (e.g. wood colors) available since they do not have everything in stock, but since this will be inside the master bedroom where not many people will see, it wasn't a big issue for me. To rush the project, Tom even drove to my home on the following Sunday to present the final design and finalize the contract. Installation 2 days later went very smoothly. I believe the name of the installer is Steve. I appreciate that they took care of un-installing the old wire shelving and patching all the nail holes. Tom even stopped by to inspect the progress to make sure I was satisfied with the project. The finished product is gorgeous and elegant-looking with the dark color that I chose. I can't say enough good things about this company. Pricey, yes, but you'll be happy with the outcome! Thank you for meeting my tight schedule!

We worked with Donna Siben at Closet Organizing Systems to design a reach in closet in our master bedroom. Spent about an hour laying out all the different options and discussing what would work best in the space, Donna listened and had a number of great ideas in terms of laying out the design. The design and related quotes were turned around within two days, I appreciated the company's flexibility in bidding the design with three different types of materials so we could understand the price points and in quickly updating the bid when we made some final changes. Donna worked closely with their production manager and I to resolve two final updates related to the best approach for the casing and trim and had the closet materials ready and scheduled for installation within several weeks. The installation went smooth and the installers were professional - on time, polite and friendly, respected the house and surroundings during their work, and left work area spotless. Donna followed up with us the day of the install to confirm everything was completed to our satisfaction. Experience with Closet OS was great, we will be updating two walk ins and another reach in later in the year and plan on using Donna and the company again.

Excellent, prompt reply and scheduling of an appointment via the company's website. Follow-up the day before and day of the appointment from the contractor. The contractor seemed to have an extensive history and knowledge of his profession.

From start to finish, everybody was terrific to work with. Tom Mayfield, the designer, took careful measurements and met with me several times to adjust his initial design. Each time, we discussed what I needed and how I would use the components of the closet. He worked with me to develop a design that would fit my budget. Justin, the installer, was efficient, friendly and worked cleanly. He even came back for a second visit to make some small adjustments that would provide me better access to electrical outlets. And Kim and Pam from the front office were great: very customer-service oriented, very responsive to email and phone messages, friendly and helpful. It was a great experience.
