My experience with the company and Matt the owner went considerably beyond my expectations. My first phone consultation with Matt generated a list of the likely causes of my door operator's problems as well as an appointment to check/repair the motor (on a Saturday no less). The morning of the appointment I got a text asking me to confirm the appointment window, followed by a phone call telling me when he was 30 minutes away from arrival (ON TIME!). Matt was very professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He answered all my questions not only from his own considerable experience but also citing feedback from other customers' experiences. He gave a couple of options to consider, and in the end I chose to replace the motor rather than repair it because I had wanted to add some features and accessories that together with the repair part would have cost nearly as much as a new unit that already incorporated the upgrades I wanted. This was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had with a contractor and I give Matt and his company the highest marks.

the technician came out on a Thursday evening. He was on time and got right to work. It turned out to be something simple, so I was only charged for the service fee less an Angie's list coupon. Still, it was worth it to have someone else take a look at my very old garage door. the technician was very polite and courteous. He even gave me information about a new garage door opener and possibly a new garage door.

I went a little overboard and got about 8 estimates before hiring A Absolute to replace 3 old wooden garage doors, as well as install one of the new doors on a high-lift rail kit. I went with this company because not only was their price among the best, they were also very responsive in answering any questions I had prior to the job. Matt was extremely nice and gave me honest answers about which door he would recommend for my application. On the install day, he and another tech (I forget but I think his name was Ryan) did a great job--they were professional, efficient, and friendly. They also went over some tips with me on maintaining the new doors and even helped me tighten the chain on my old opener. I recommend them highly!

The job went well. It got a little more complicated than anticipated because it was wired differently than the old opener, but the technician got it done in a very reasonable time. I highly recommend them.

Representive arrived on time, explained process and amount of time needed. There was one hiccup with door color but I decided to go with color delivered (white). Very satisfied.

Over the course of 1 evening communicated 6 times and scheduled an appointment for the next day between 4:30 and 5. Technician rang the door bell at 4:29. Off to a great start. Demonstrated the issue to the technician. He spent about 15 minutes going over the door. He pointed out that the springs had weakened, the opener was installed about 22 years ago, roller bearing in several rollers were starting to wear out. Offered several suggestions for solving the problem starting with some simple adjustments and a service call fee. Most of the things he pointed out, I was already aware of. No surprise. I did not want to spend more of my time 5 months from now when the springs finally broke. I had the springs replaced (he upgraded them to the next size larger), replace the rollers, and install a new opener. He gave me an estimate, I asked how long it would take, he gave me an estimate. I looked at my watch and said GO. The estimated time was close. He finished all the work in time but it took a little extra time to get remotes programmed and the bill. Missed his time estimate by 10 minutes :) Fast and friendly quality work.

Called early in the AM after having our garage door opener completely stop working after being sporadic the last week. Just needed to take care of replacing our door openers. Was surprised when we were able to get an appointment window of 10am-12pm the same day. Matt was great on the phone talking through the issue and the potential costs. He arrived around 11am. Talked through our options and the mechanics of our existing openers. I was impressed with the professionalism and a fun personality. The work was completed in just over two hours. He took the time to walk through the operation of the new openers. The price was slightly higher than I expected based on research but since it was being done so efficiently and right away I felt it was worth it.

Showed up when committed. Professional and did a great job. Very pleased with the service. Felt it was a good value too.

Neil was outstanding professional. He was punctual showing up at 2pm when my window was 2 to 4pm. He was very informative and explained what he was doing before hand as well as walking me through everything after he completed the job. I am extremely pleased with this company and will call them any time I have garage door needs!

It went well. They had an initial delay because of an emergency service but didn’t contact me until after the 2 hour window for the appt was over and I called to find out what happened.

They were very punctual and explained the work as the stages progressed.

Our service technician was professional, knowledgeable, and polite. He repaired the broken door rollers, explained all the work that went through, and walked me through all the things I should be keeping an eye on as our garage door ages. We will definitely be look at A Absolute Garage Door when the time comes for a full replacement!

I sat at home all day today as the appointment was set for 1-3PM today. I just spoke with them and they said they do not have me on their schedule. I have an email trail of all communication and the last email I have says Wed, Nov 1 from 1-3 is good. No excuse on their end except they screwed up.

Installer was on time and did a good job.

Great but they were going to send me an estimate for a replacement door opener but I never received it

It went extremely well. They were kind enough to move the window panels for me as my family did not like the placement I had chosen. They hauled away the old doors and all materials left from the new installation. They were also genuinely nice people.

Positive: Installer arrived on time, did a good job, and assisted me on installing the app. Negative: Price quoted me was $695. I questioned why so much and was told this was a superior opener to my old one. I paid the installer and my invoice was emailed to me later but it did not itemize the charges., just $695. I called and asked to speak to the owner for clarification but he never returned my call (over 24 hours) so I went online and found the same model, Chamberlain #970 retailed for $238 at Home Depot and $177 installation charge. I believe anyone in business deserves to make a profit and would not be writing this review if they had called me back and explained their charges but t I think their lack of transparency on the bill and neglect to follow up after the sale should be a considered by anyone using them. This was a scheduled service call during the week, non emergency.

It went well but I was informed I had an older door and the changing of gasket was different now. A new metal strip needed to be installed because the groves were different now and the new gasket would not fit at all. So this instalation went well and now we have a better sealing garage door. The extra cost was a surprise but it had to be and all went well. The cost were 129.00 to angie's list and 188.00 and change to the garage door company.

Very well Technician was prompt and courteous. He explained what needed to be done and how he would accomplish it.
