Very professional. He arrived 15 minutes early and worked very efficiently. Also, I bought the deal on Thursday and they came out the following day. Will definitely recommend to friends/family and will use them if I have any issues in the future.

Overall the outcome was pretty good. I purchased a "deal" from the site to perform a tune-up and inspection. Also our garage was closing part of the way then opening so I wanted him to take a look. He did his initial assessment and told us that the circuit board was bad and we could either replace the opener or get a new board also we needed a new set of rollers. However the unit is only about 8 years old and really shouldn't be broken so I said that we could do the tune-up and roller replacement and see what happened. Well the garage started working again so I am not sure we would have needed the entire replacement or new circuit board. However Matt is an expert and the thing could go bad tomorrow. Only time will tell. Either way he was very nice and we are happy our garage door problem is fixed for now.

Matt prides himself on service that is above and beyond, and he delivers...at a price significantly less that the well rated competitors that I checked with. I had a pretty specific door and opener in mind when I called him, but he went over the options that were available, presenting pros and cons, and I wound up having him install a LESS expensive door and opener than I had originally had in mind, saving hundreds of dollars. He was very conscientious in his explanations the product, the work that needed to be done, and in his performance of the job. Once I made a decision about what I wanted to purchase, he got on the phone to check availability and arrange a pickup so that we could immediately schedule an ASAP installation, since my old door was inoperable. I am very happy with the way the work was done and with my new garage door!

They came on time. This was good. They did what we expected them to do. We were happy with it.

All repairs and installation went very well. Matt was polite, worked quick, made good suggestions, and did a great job. I've already recommended him to others and they have experienced the same great service. Would definately recommend.

Called them on Friday morning and they said they'd be out between 3pm-5pm. They showed up on time and quickly informed me of the issue and subsequent issues caused by the issue and an exact cost to remedy. They fixed it quickly and cost didn't change. Let's be honest, garage doors aren't rocket science. What you need is a reliable guy (or gal I guess) that shows up when they say they do, and does good work at an honest price. You will get that with A Absolute Garage Door and I'm happy to say that I will use them again for both my rental and my own home.

This is second experience with A Absolute Garage Door Co. Matthew was extremely helpful both times. Yesterday, I went to open my garage door but could not get it to move upwards. Turned out my coil/spring mechanism had snapped. I'd had them out a while back, and he fixed the opener; he did offer to replace the coil/spring at that time, but he said if I wanted to save the expense, he understood. He said it may be fine for couple years, or it may go any time-I decided to take a chance. Yesterday it broke; and I called Matthew early in morning. He re-arranged his schedule so he could get out before we had to leave for work, and quickly fixed the problem. He knew I needed to work, and since I'd been a repeat client, he said he would fix it while I left for work, and send a bill. This was a huge help; we are impressed with his work & punctuality. Highly recommended

Purchased the deal via Angie's List. Received a call within minutes, and they happened to be in the area and performed the install just a few hours after I made the purchase. The installer was professional, friendly, took his time to perform the install (even if it was getting late,) and offered to help program our cars for the new garage door opener. Quick, painless, and friendly!

Everything was great. I purchased a Big Deal online, and he messaged me right away. I asked him to call me, which he did very quickly. We set up an appointment for Friday at 2:00. He actually showed up a little early, but he called me first to let me know. When he arrived he started the inspection and told me what the promblems were and some concerns he had with the garage door. He told me about what was an immediate concern, and what could probably wait. I was concerned because the door had been making more noise than normal. He looked into the parts and the weather stripping, and said that he thought that the spring might be a concern, but he thought that it could probably wait if I wanted to. I liked that he was not trying to oversell me. He had me do a few things like opening the door while he listened and watched the door, and thought that the circuit board might need to be repaired. He said he could hear the gear inside the opener was at the brink of needing to be replaced. He asked how long I wanted to stay in the house, because he thought it might influence what type of opener I would want to buy. He gave me some great options, and educated me about the different types of doors, and said that I could probably go with the half horsepower. He ended up replacing the spring and the door opener. I felt like he was being very honest. He looked at the end plates and told me that I may want to replace them now, because it would cost me less money in the long run, and I would not have to pay for another service call, so I told him to go ahead and do it. I think that he gave me a good assessment, and I liked that he didn't try to sell too many additional items, and he was very upfront and honest.

He proceeded to take out the old garage door opener and replace it with a Lift Master. He had brought new sensors to install but the ones I had were just put in. He also brought a new key less pad for the outside of the garage and also let me reprogram it with a new entry code. The only thing I'm not happy with is the amount of noise there is when the door is opening or closing.

I called and got service within an hour. The technician was great and explained everything to us. We would definitely use them again for any garage door service call.

This company lives up to it's reviews. Matt (owner) is very friendly and he knows his trade. He explained everything he was going to do before he did it and showed me how everything worked when he was done. I am very pleased with the results.

Experience with A Absolute Garage Door Company was a home run. I was able to set up an appointment quickly through the Angie's List system. Matt arrived on time, gave me a quick overview of what he would be doing and the timing. All went according to plan. I appreciated the home link programming as I have struggled with that in the past. Had a minor follow-up issue on my end, Matt responded immediately, walked me through the trouble shoot and fix over the phone. Highly recommend A Absolute.

Can't say enough good comments about Matthew's work. Very prompt, courteous, professional, fair & honest. Was very prompt, and price for the work was fantastic. He did everything possible to keep our costs reasonable, and did some extra courtesy check on one of the wheels. I'll use him again if my very old door gives out, but for now we've got a well done door opener, and all moving parts on the actual door are finely tuned. Super courteous and pleasant on phone and on site. Well-done!

I had been having trouble with my door not closing and believed it had something to do with the sunlight hitting the sensors. It was happening more frequently, and even on cloudy days. I contacted the company who had installed the door yesterday and was told that a technician would call me back. I attempted to call the company again today, but my call went straight to voicemail. I then contacted A Absolute Garage Door Co.at 9:30am and was told that a technician could be out between 10am and noon. Matt, the technician, arrived around 1040am and thoroughly checked everything and felt that the sensors needed to be changed. he changed the sensors, made an adjustment to the spring and lubricated the hinges and guide rails for the door. Very prompt, polite, and professional service. I HIGHLY recommend this company!!!!

Matthew responded to my email requests immediately and answered them with great patience and details. An appointment was made and he arrived on time. Very pleasant young man with a very honest and professional attitude. Matthew was very informative and provided recommendations for the future, yet was not pushy. He is definitely in business for the long term and values the opportunity for repeat and word of mouth business. I will definitely contact him when I am in need of a new garage door.

Everthing went fine. Matt is owner of this company, and seems dedicated, polite and experienced. It was a sub zero cold outside..but Matt did the job like a pro. We did call him back one week later since the chain got a bit loosened after a week..but Matt came right back and re-adjusted it. a real Pro.

I bought an Angie's List "Big Deal" for a new Liftmaster garage door opener with installation, remote, and keypad, as a gift for my sister. The owner, Matthew Schafer, contacted her immediately to setup an appointment. He showed up on time, was very courteous and professional, explained things to my sister and answered all her questions completely. He showed her how to maintain the opener to avoid issues. He pointed out a problem with her current garage door and fixed it at a very fair and reasonable cost. My sister was so happy with Matthew's work and was 100% satisfied. If I ever need work done on my own garage door or opener, I'll be calling Matthew.

Mathew was very prompte in responding to my request and made an appointmemt to assess the situation and gave me my options. We were able to keep my heavy garage door with some customization. We made a second appointment to do the installation. On both accounts he wa punctual, polite and patient. Even though it was cold outside, he worked precisely and continuously until the installatin was completed.
