Everything was great. The technician was prompt and friendly. Usually when you are given a service window, the guy shows up as close to the last minute as possible so you are stuck waiting for hours only to have to wait around even more to get the service. He came about halfway through the window given to me, which is great! He gave me a lot of information about my current system and what could be causing my problems. As a field engineer, I know how annoying issues can be when they don't happen all the time, but he had a good idea of the issue and reasonable suggestions for fixing it. He also went beyond and eliminated some noises that I had assumed were normal that had been there since my family moved in. Overall great service. I look forward to calling on them again for any type of service on my garage doors.

I have a funky garage set-up and wanted to have an opener installed. Due to limited height space they showed me an opener that goes next to the garage door instead of on the ceiling (where there was not room). It works great. They set up everything and showed me how to use all features. Both guys doing the install were great!

Joe was fantastic to work with. I enjoyed his professionalism while installing my garage door opener. The company was very fast in answering my request. Ordered the service on Wednesday 2am got follow-up on the same day. Work was ordered, scheduled and performed the same day in about 17hrs total. Fastest response time. I am satisfied. Will work with them again in the future. Joe did great despite the freezing weather.

The gentleman who came was very polite, punctual, and professional. He was patient with my questions and kind enough to help me replace the burnt out bulb in the garage door opener, itself. I couldn't help wonder if the inch or two of stripping that need repair couldn't have been patched versus replacing the entire strip across the bottom of the door, which took me over budget. I would suggest them to others

The serviceman arrived on time. He checked everything out, and then lubricated the moving parts. He took the time to explain what was working well, and what was aging out on our old door. He also provided an estimate for a door replacement, and explained what services his company could offer. There was no pressure to purchase a new door - just information. It was a very cold day and I half expected the serviceman to cancel, so I give him extra credit for keeping the appointment and being as thorough as he was in tuning up the door.

First, their pricewas at least $70 less than the other Angie List's company I called. They scheduled the job right away, they were prompt, they were very courteous, they worked for 3 hours in freezing temperatures, and they did an excellent job! Excellent service! I would use them again for sure. I was so impressed with their price and their service that I tipped them an extra $23!

I was extremely happy with the service I received from A Absolute. I originally set up the appointment for a $39 tune-up to make sure I was set up for the winter. Matt and Joe came by on time and were very courteous. I was having a bit of an issue with the garage door popping back up after going down about a foot and I told them about it. Turns out that the tune up fixed the problem and I had a few rollers replaced as well as the long rubber piece at the bottom of the door (which was cracking apart and I didn't even realize it!) The garage door was noisy before and it's so much more quiet now and I feel 100% better knowing everything works - especially with the crazy Chicago weather we've already started to have with the freezing temps and snow that have already started. Thanks for Matt and Joe - wonderful job ..........I totally recommend A Absolute Garage Door!

The service tech was very friendly and appeared knowledgeable about the mechanics of the garage door, he tried to up sell but did it in amore suggestive and non pushy manner which I appreciate.

I'm extremely pleased with the service. I called Matt few weeks ago to check my broken garage door. He gave me a couple of options. I was able to schedule replacing the garage door and rails all within a week's time. Great job!

We purchased the Angie's special inspection and adjustment for our garage door opener that was making noise and the chain was too loose. Matt and Joe checked over, adjusted and explained all the things to watch for as the door ages.They were very thorough and I appreciated that they took the time to explain things. During the inspection they checked what was causing the noise in the motor and discovered worn gears. They replaced them in two days (they didn't have the part with them or they could have done it the same day) and showed me the worn gears,. They were right: it solved the noise problems and assures me of a working garage door for this winter!!

Matt came to my new home today and installed a new garage door opener. I was so impressed with his professionalism, work ethic, patience explaining the features to me and his overall service. I had to reschedule the time due to my closing running late on the house and he was very polite and patient with me. He asked if he could go ahead and start assembling the opener in the driveway which worked out great! When I arrived, it was ready for install. He is a great guy and I can't say enough about his wonderful service!! It's so nice to find a trustworthy company and I would VERY highly recommend him. Thanks Matt!

Although still working, my original garage door opener wouldn't function if the temperature dropped below freezing. All winter, I would have to go through the house, and press the indoor button to raise my door. Once the weather warmed up, it would work fine once again. Since Angie's List had a Big Deal going from A Absolute, I had them come out and install a new opener and photocell safety system. Everything went fine, and the technician was done in a couple of hours. Now I can get into my garage regardless of any polar vortex!

It went very well. I inquired through Angie's list about having springs replaced and a quote was given. Once on site, my concern about a spring breaking (springs older than 12 years) was confirmed by the service tech. I decided it was time to replace with the newer type. Even though this required more than they expected, the quote for the replaced was honored. And once on the ladder checking the garage door opening unit, this fine young man offered to replace my light bulb if I had a new one!

They were great. On time. Didn't overcharge for replacing roller (only $9). Garage door working much much better than before. Got $305 Angie's deal for garage door opener, remote, and tune up. $28 more for outside keypad.

They arrived on time and were very professional and polite. They gave me an overall appraisal of my garage door condition. They also gave me tips on how to maintain the door in good working order.

Very professional and reasonably priced vendor. They replaced my 20 year old chain openers with new jackshaft liftmaster 8500 openers. Charged for the motors less than I would have paid on Amazon or eBay. One of the motors required additional adjustments the next day after install. Matt came over same day to address the issue. Extremely fast response. Highly recommend .
