+ 1 moreTony is very knowledgeable and personable, and he and his people show up promptly (around 7:30 am) and do great work efficiently. I can't believe how quickly they got rid of some pretty big branches of our backyard tree, to keep them from falling onto our roof. They were also very good and quick about installing the yard drain, as well as weeding our (pretty large, for us) garden. The prices were right too. This is definitely our go-to company for all of our landscaping/yard work now.

+ -1 moreThe only reason we use them is because they were the cheapest ones we could find. They are always there when they are supposed to be there. We haven't changed what we do with them. Responsiveness is sort of a not applicable because we haven't asked them to do anything but cut our grass. They have been our lawn service for almost years. To improve their service, they could not kill my plants and shrubs by weed whacking them. They could not turn off my anti deer mechanism and leave it off. I guess what I would say is they dont pay attention to detail. They just whack through my lawn in the most convenient way for them and get their job done and leave. Sometimes in doing so they cause damage or they put things in a bad situation for me and I have to clean it up.

She is the only landscaper we talked with that said we could save a tree in the middle of the yard. The finished product looks great. We plan to have her come back and help with tree placement.

Description of Work: Totalscape maintains my lawn every week, and they occasionally assist with weeding or tree trimming. They are very punctual when it comes to weekly maintenance, but any special service takes a while a sometimes a couple of phone calls. The are supposed to maintain a tree grove that is in front of my house, but I have to call them multiple times each year to remind them to keep it weeded. If I don't call, the weeds will be up to my waist before they show up.

+ 0 moreEverything was done very well. I just need re-planting due to the loss of evergreen bushes over the past winter. I would highly recommend Totalscape if you don't mind waiting for service, as they are very busy.
Description of Work: Trimmed and pruned 2 large trees, cut and ground 1 small tree and 2 large bushes. Cut out all overgrown wild trees in the bushes surrounding my property, pruned my lilac bush, and pruned my holly bush. Also removed 2 evergreen bushes that were dead. A lot of work was done. The workers were here almost all day.

Description of Work: A tree in our front yard got blown down by a strong storm. We called around for estimates, and Tony from Totalscape was far and away the best. Not only did he offer to remove the tree and grind down the stump, he looked at the rest of our landscaping and pointed out lots of other problems (buckthorn infestations, dead shrubs, etc.) that he offered to take care of for a minimal extra charge. The other estimates were similar to Tony's, but without all of the considerable extra work, so we agreed to go with Totalscape. | |As promised, Tony showed up bright and early one morning to remove the tree and perform the cleanup. Everything went very smoothly and we were very impressed. Unfortunately it started to rain right at the end of the job and they were not able to grind out the stump, but Tony said he'd be happy to come back and do it when we're ready to replace the tree. He duly deducted the grinding from our bill for the day's services. | |Over the next couple of weeks I worked with Tony on quotes for a new tree, and eventually said we were ready to go ahead with the work (grinding the stump and putting in a new tree). That's where things still are today, and my only knock on this great company - we still haven't heard back, despite several attempts to contact the company. I don't know what happened, if it got to be too late in the season to plant a tree or if there was a glitch somewhere with the messages we left. We'd love to give him more work, but we can't get him to call us back. Otherwise, this review would be an "A" for sure. (Please call us back! We still need a new tree!)

Description of Work: Cleaned up from storm damage and trimmed trees. Improved drainage of water away from foundation. Relandscaped several areas of the yard. This was a really big job.

Description of Work: Drains were installed on both sides of my house and throughout the backyard. A sump pump was installed in the backyard. All drains lead to my driveway apron and the water now flows out into the street. The work was done on Sunday and after they were finished, you could hardly tell there had been ditches dug through the entire yard.

However, once we saw how diligent and meticulous they were on tree-trimming in the next-door neighbor's yard, we leaned over the fence to seal the deal. No only was Tony and his crew friendly and approachable, they offered to provide our service the very next day! Their crew was respectful of the existing landscaping, did a superb job of tree trimming, and cleaned everything up so that you'd never really know they were there. If you need trees trimmed, Hire Them!

+ -1 moreWe just started with them last month. It went great. They charge $30 per push. They showed up as agreed and cleaned the driveway completely. They didn't leave the snow out in the street for our neighbors. They pushed it up into our property. We haven't had a lot of personal contact with them. We basically had contact when we interviewed for the job. That contact was fine. Their price was $15 a push less than everybody else.

+ -1 moreTony and his workers do a fine job. I've used his snow removal service for about 8-10 years. When it snows overnight our driveway is plowed by 6:00AM. During heavy snows he'll return as needed to keep the driveway clear and do a final plowing when the snow has stopped falling. I pay by the plow and have always felt that Tony has been fair about his billing.

He has provided competitive prices and finishes the work in a timely manner. The crew has moved the large trimmed pieces into the woods next to my house and chips the smaller pieces which I use for mulch in the Spring. I expect to continue to use Totalscape for this service.

+ -1 moreThe crew were very helpful and very hardworking. They cleaned up as they went along and did a really nice job. They were very friendly and open to suggestions and changes. The yard looks a lot better now and the price was very reasonable--I am not one to go for the cheapest, I look for good value and someone I trust and can work with for the long haul. I am happy to recommend Tony's services to anyone in the area. You won't regret it.
Description of Work: I've used Tony for snowplowing for many years but have had other people doing my landscaping. We talked at the end of last year and Tony had some good suggestions about cleaning up our rather large yard. Tony was very responsive with a lot of good suggestions and visited several times before starting the work to make sure we were on the same page. He and his crew did a lot of tree pruning, removing a bunch of weed trees and dead growth. They edged the lawn parts, chipped the wood onsite and reused it on the back beds. Laid down the dirt from the edging to build up some berms and spread a LOT of mulch. They also mowed the lawn while they were here.
