Rich is a pleasure to work with. We did a complete redesign of existing landscaping and are thrilled with the end result. He & his staff are professional, hard working & pay such great attention to detail. We will be working with him again next spring to continue implementing our vision for the yard. The service was good, I'm happy with with it. They worked all around the house. It was cleaned when they were done. The owner is very helpful on suggestions when it comes to plants and that sort of thing. The owner is prompt and does what he agrees to do.

Rich was very easy to talk to and he made sure I understood what all he was going to do. The job was delayed due to rain and Rich called to make sure I knew they wouldn't be out. He keeps you abreast as to their schedule. Today when they did the job, because I was work, he called to have me come out and look over the job when they were almost done to see if I approved or if I wanted anything changed. I am very happy with how it turned out. I feel they did a very good job with a reasonable price.

Stonewood Design Group did a fantastic job. I highly recommend their services. Rich Miyazaki is an extremely talented, creative and professional designer. His crew was punctual, professional, and did a great job of installing the plants and stone. My husband and I like Japanese-style gardens, and we wanted a design that incorporated some exotic specimens. Our yard looks fantastic--we are very pleased, and we have received many compliments from neighbors. We will definitely use Stonewood Design Group again and highly recommend their services.

It went very well. They brought in crews to move and spread topsoil, fill in trenches and reseed where needed. When some areas needed more seed a few weeks later, they came out again. I thought their price was extremely reasonable as they were 1/4th the cost of one of the bids we received. I would consider them again.

I am very pleased with the end result. They were very easy to work with and listened to my concerns and desires. I have worked with other landscapers before and it always seemed that they ended up doing what they wanted to do, not what I wanted them to do. Mary was open to my ideas and they were very flexible with scheduling. They worked around my schedule and delivered when promised. This was very important, because I opted to do some of the planting myself and needed the plants to arrive when I could do the work. I liked the fact that they were willing to do the work in phases or would assist me if I wanted to do some of the work myself. I looked a very long time before deciding upon Stonewood Designs. The style of landscaping that I prefer is not your typical Midwest "shrubs around the foundation" style and Stonewood understood that. While not the cheapest, you get what you pay for. Mary, my designer, was incredibly meticulous. One evening, after a major portion of the work was done, I saw her drive up and down my street several times surveying the work from different angles to ensure it was done correctly. I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone.

A lot of the places I looked up did yard work, but I was looking for someone that had actual background in landscape design. We are absolutely thrilled. Richard is very good to work with. He is very accommodating. He's very much attuned to what you want, but comes up with his own unique ideas. The experience has been going fine. Last year during work there were a couple of things that died back, but when you get a firm like this they guarantee it so there's no question about them replacing something. I think the way he takes a personal interest in the project is nice. They are responsive and their work is quality work. There is a little uniqueness to the things they provide for you. Your yard doesn't look like all the neighbors. They did an excellent job. The new patio one had a free form design and wasn't just square or rectangular. They prepared the area and made sure the foundation was correct. There had to be a gas line installed from the house to the new fire-pit and all that was taken care of. They did a meticulous job of laying down the pavers. They were willing to answer any questions I had. The workers were really good about the pavers, cutting them and cleaning up. The site was always left in excellent condition. Its half moon shaped and is raised 2 1/2 feet from the ground. The workers did a good job placing the stones. It was not sloppy. They did a good job of lining things up so it was symmetrical and not uneven. The whole project looked complete, not haphazard. The price was more expensive, but we felt this was a pretty permanent fixture.
