SPARTAN FENCE

Scheduled appointment for 5/08 @ 5pm to get estimate on fence for my house in Schaumburg. They never called or showed.

I had an appointment to meet with Spartan fence and I waited an hour and they never showed up. I called during office hours to make sure they didn't forget and a person answered and assured me that the person I made the appointment with would be calling me. HE NEVER CALLED ME. I waited for an hour for no one to show up or have the courtesy to explain why they couldn't make it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and even waited a whole day and they never called me after I left a message. Not good business.

Greg installed 80 feet of cedar fence 12 years ago and still it is very solid. Only 1 post needs replacement and he came right out within 2 days and is happy to to replace it for a minimal cost/. I had a great experience!

In August of 2003 we had a cedar fence built in the back of our house. The fence had two gates and locks that opened from the inside and outside. In May of 2012 we decided we would like a bolt lock that would open from the inside only. I called Spartan and spoke with Gregory Voulgaris, the owner, and asked that he put bolt locks on the two gates. Within a short time it had been done. We didn't even have to be at home. The cost for the two bolt locks were $40.00, which we thought was very reasonable.

Several of post for the gates were not installed properly and I had to have them replaced. I didn't call them to come out and repair it since it hadn't been done right the first time. The quality of the material and the rest of the fence is fine. They came when they said and they got back to me.

I DID HAVE A FEW CONCERNS WITH THEIR QUALITY. THEY ADDRESSED THE FIRST CONCERN RIGHT AWAY. HOWEVER, THE SECOND CONCERN THEY ARE TAKING TOO MUCH TIME TO RESOLVE. IF THEY FIX THE PROBLEM, I WOULD HIRE AGAIN. They initially came out for the job and completed the work in timely manner. However, when addressing later problems, their responsiveness declined and they failed to contact us back. I am also questioning the quality of the materials that they use. I would definitely not hire them again. They also did not clean up after themselves very well.
