I did not perform any work for this individual. I only came out to discuss the project and provide some guidelines on cost.

Response from Ron Williams Remodeling
I was on vacation at this time and when I returned, I had other concerns to handle as well as a backlog of work for people who had been waiting for me to catch up. I seek to return all calls and help out whenever possible even when it does not look like I will get the job.
Ron did an excellent job remodeling our master bathroom! We were very pleased with his work, and our new bathroom looks great. Ron was very professional and detailed in his work. He also made good suggestions such as a light above the shower, decorative tile trim, and the recessed shower shelf. We had not thought of those things, but we're glad he did. The end results exceeded our expectations. Ron was a pleasure to work with - he was honest and kept us informed along the way. He also did his best to keep the rest of our house clean while he was working (e.g. plastic covering on the carpet, garbage thrown out, etc). The work was performed on time (just under 5 days), and the cost was fair and reasonable. We will highly recommend Ron to our family and friends, and will definitely call him again if we have another project.

Cabinet, some base, mirror, tub tile • Install new shower valve • Install new shower basin • Install backer for tile, tape • Rework electric for new lights above vanity • Repair/patch wall from mirror damage and electrical adjustments. • Install light in shower area • Install new fan/light above toilet • Install new tile with decorative border above tub deck, grout, clean, seal • Install new tile in shower with decorative border including recessed shelf for shampoo, grout, clean, seal • Install new tile on floor, grout, clean, seal • Install new lights over vanity • Install new mirrors over each sink faucet • Install metal transition between carpet and tiled surface • Reset toilet after minor repair to closet flange • Install new shower door • Install new shower faucet • Install new base and shoe where needed • Caulk all needed areas with silicone • Clean up carpet guard and clean up work area
Wonderful. It could not have gone better. Ron is a perfectionist, he is a good person and very honest. We are going to use him again and I recommend him to family and friends all the time.
Description of Work: Ron remodeled our entire kitchen. Installed cabinets, lighting, moved things around, took down a wall, pulled up about three floors and then installed ceramic tile. He is amazing. Ron is the only person that we have do any work in our house. Most recently he installed a hot water heater and fixed a light.

I like that Ron was conscientious and he did what he said he would do. Everything came out very nicely, albeit a little more expensive than I would have liked it to be.

While I waited for settlements from insurance and FEMA, I interviewed contractors for the repair of my 1200 sf of living space that had been damaged by flood water. I was in a state of shock regarding the estimates that some of the contractors submitted. Not only did I need to remodel the space, I needed to replace all of the water-damaged furniture. When I interviewed Ron Williams, I had a really good feeling. I hired him but had to wait about 4 weeks for him to become available. Ron began by removing all of the existing walls and flooring. Ron arranged for a dumpster to be delivered and when it was full and ready to be picked up a problem arose. Because of the 24 inch accumulation of snowfall the pickup truck could not get close enough to the dumpster. Ron took it upon himself to clear a path for the truck, certainly not something I had expected. Ron used a crew of drywall installers for the next phase of the project, but outside of the services of a family member for painting help, Ron worked alone on the other phases. The space was now looking like it would become livable soon. While moving the bathroom vanity, the sink top broke. I measured and purchased what I thought was the same sink top from the original vendor. Unfortunately, it was too large by 1 to 2 inches and the original size was discontinued. When I told Ron what a long search we had to find the original vanity because of the space requirements, he said, ?I can make this work?. He recessed the back of the sink into the wall and trimmed the cabinet, now only he and I know it was not the correct size. Next the walls were painted and the doors and trim were hung. Ron rebuilt and stained the stairs leading to the upper level. He matched the existing wood color perfectly. We looked like we were in the home stretch. The laundry room was the final space to be repaired, and when the drywall came off a large foundation crack was revealed. I consulted Angie?s List again and found a company that could do the job the next day. I had intended to use whatever color was leftover after painting the other rooms in the laundry, but there was not enough. Ron said that he just try to find an ?oops? color at Home Depot, something that had been returned and marked down. He found a color that I would not have been brave enough to choose, but looks so perfect you would think I used an interior designer. The completed project is more than I expected. I will definitely hire Ron again and recommend him to others.
Description of Work: I hired Ron Williams to remodel 1,200 sf of flood damaged living space after interviewing 10 different contractors. Ron removed all of the damaged drywall, paneling and flooring; then cleaned and sanitized the space. He hung new drywall and insulation; rebuilt a staircase; laid ceramic and linoleum tile; hung new wood room and closet doors; installed new baseboards and trim; and painted the whole area. Ron also added new lighting fixtures in every room and installed new ceiling fans that had not existed before. Ron is professional, courteous and efficient. Ron gave me excellent advice and suggestions before and during the project. Ron came in and completely transformed my space. I feel like I am living in a model home, I am totally and completely head over heels in love with my space now.
This was a huge project, and it was great to have Ron partner with us. He helped us plan and brainstorm ideas for different layouts. He was very thorough and did not cut any corners. Ron has done many projects in our house, he is always the first person we call.
Description of Work: We totally gutted our house and Ron did most of the remodeling work. He installed a subfloor throughout our first floor, he installed new kitchen cabinets, painted, installed all the appliances, drywalled, tiled the backsplash, framed doors and our refrigerator area, tiled our back hallway, moved our washer/dryer, installed a utility sink, removed a wet bar, installed patio doors, replaced baseboard, installed an attic fan.

This was a big improvement for our main floor. We did not have a pantry previously and the bathroom was very small. The idea Ron proposed to switch the two was a great solution.
Description of Work: Ron converted our main floor bathroom to a pantry and converted a closet/storage area into a bathroom. The prior bathroom was very small and not in a good location. He installed a vanity, replaced the toilet, tiled the floor, painted, framed a closet and installed shelves, installed an exhaust fan, installed fixtures and removed a water softener. The pantry was tiled and he installed shelves.
The overall experience was great. Ron kept us informed along the way of his progress in both time and materials. There were no surprises and the work was thorough. Ron doesn't cut corners.
Description of Work: Ron remodeled our master and guest bath. He replaced the tub, installed cultured marble, tiled the floors, installed vanities and fixtures, replaced the toilets, installed shower doors and painted.

Ron completely remodeled our bathroom from an empty space to a beautiful room. We had a toilet in the middle of the room before, and Ron was able to tear open the concrete floor, move the toilet to a new location, run the water and drain pipes under the concrete and repour. I thought I was going to be stuck with the toilet in an odd location, or pay a plumber $1500-2000 to move it. Ron was able to do the work for $600 (included in the total cost of the project). He then ran all the water pipes, framed new walls, installed and leveled a new shower basin on a very unlevel existing floor, insulated, drywalled, added new fans that had to be vented out of the brick in the side of our house, tiled, etc. There was even one night that he stayed late so that he could finish something and stay on a time schedule so that we would ultimately have our bathroom completed two days earlier. He worked with the upmost professionalism and I never once felt like he was trying to cheat us or cut corners. Even my father-in-law who also used to be in carpentry, was highly impressed with the quality of the work. There is nothing that I can say bad about Ron. He even showed me a thing or two throughout the process to teach me how and why certain things were done. I was also impressed with Ron's attention to detail. He was careful to lay the tile so that it would look visually appealing once complete. Additionally, he would do small things like slope the seat he installed in the shower so that water would not sit and build up on it, or create a built in shelf that would fit the larger shampoo/conditioner bottles we use. His experience also showed, helping to give us advice at what fixtures to buy and where to place them. For instance, suggesting we place the fan over the shower instead of the center of the room to suck out the moisture quickly before it reached the rest of the basement (which obviously is already a moist space). He also helped make sure we got colors and fixtures for our bathroom that all matched and would leave an elegant finish. Oh, and he also allowed us to call late in the evening to ask his advice when we were at the store picking things out. I definitely recommend Ron Williams without the slightest reservation for any of your remodeling projects. I know you will be satisfied with the outcome and will return to him for all of your remodeling needs. I know that we sure will!!! Please feel free to e-mail me at chriside@sbcglobal.net if you would like to ask any questions that I may not have answered, or to convince you further. I will also send additional pictures to anybody who may be interested. I know that you too will be impressed.

Awesome. We scheduled the work in advance, and days before it was supposed to start, my wife gave birth to our twins 8.5 weeks early. Ron stayed late to help get things back in shape by the time she came back from the hospital. We have been consistently impressed by his skill, quality, and the value of his services.
Description of Work: Ron worked on two things for us: remove cracked ceramic tile & fix structural issues dating to original construction, clean up drywall & paint bedroom for babies. Master bath: Ron removed the cracked ceramic & underlayment, then identified solution for weak & sloped floor. He leveled it, installed new tile & grout, sealed the floor, re-installed the toilet, and re-installed baseboard & shoe. Twins bedroom: Ron did substantial drywall work (looked like a grenade or two went off in there from previous owner), priming, painting walls & ceiling. He removed & replaced baseboards & shoe, and put the ceiling fan back up when he was done. In both jobs, Ron did a great job of cleaning up, and he adapted very well when small surprises came up (so much so, in fact, that I remember that there were a few, but don't remember what they were).
