Olsen Tuckpointing was a pleasure to work with. They were able to come out to our house within a few days of our initial phone call. Ken took the time to look over our house and then pointed out the areas that he thought should be tuckpointed. Within a few days we had a quote for the work and asked them to do the work. The workers did a good job and for the areas that I thought were going to be difficult to match they did an outstanding job. The long crack we had above our garage doors is now gone and almost impossible to see where it was! They tuckpointed areas around the entire house and we are overall quite pleased with the results. There was one area where we could notice where the work was done and seemed to stand out a little more than the other areas worked on. We called Ron on a Friday and he was out there on Monday looking it over and stated he would have someone come out and make it perfect. Within a couple of days it was power-washed and everything looks perfect. I would highly recommend Olsen Tuckpointing and will use them again.

Overall, I thought they did a good job. The initial work was adequate, but I had to have them back to correct a few issues. After this additional work, however, I was satisfied.

This was the first time I had used them. They arrived every morning at 7am. They wonderful. They didn't even take time for lunch. They were diligent workers. They didn't stand around and talk.

The estimators came out promptly, gave an estimate on the spot, and didn't pressure for an immediate answer. However, I accepted the estimate later the same day and the job was scheduled for later that week. The mason completed the work quickly, cleaned up any debris, and came back the next morning to wash down the brick. The work closely matches the old mortar and while time will test the durability of the work, the company assures me that if it doesn't hold up, they will come back as necessary. Overall, I am very pleased with this firm's work and would recommend them to others or use them again myself.

Excellent service and work. Ann Olsen returned my initial call the next day and we had a detailed quote with 2 days. Work completed the next week. I feel confident the job was done professionally and will make our wall structurally sound. The job was done with a combination of grout and caulk with both colored and textured to match the existing grout. I don't have a an accurate idea of whether this could have been done cheaper, but the price seemed fair for the amount of labor required and the quality of the work.

Two guys came out and completed the new chimney in one day. I did notice they wrapped flashing about a third of the way up the chimney. My husband and I drove around our neightborhood to see if other chimneys were done with like as it looked strange. The roofers came the following day and took the flashing off the put the new roof on. I went to check on the progress and noticed the chimney guys had left five rows of the old chimney that were not even tuckpointed. I called my roofer and asked him to look at it. I asked him if this is what I would expect to see, it looked like a problem to me. He said "frankly, no, it should not look like that, you call Ken and I will too." Ken arrived a short time after the roofer called him and said he was very, very sorry and they would fix the problem if it meant taking it down and starting over. It would be fixed. The same two men came the following day and the lead guy was very obnoxious. He told me he had never had anyone question his work. They took the old bricks down one by one and replaced them with new ones that were at this point just tuckpointed in. They flashed it up one row which looked good. My husband went up on the roof and took ahold of it and could manually move the whole chimney very easily. Since the new roof was already on, we were stuck with it. I was never contacted by anyone from Olsen after the initial visit from Ken to see if the work was done to my satisfaction or to see if it was even OK. I paid the bill only because it was billed through the roofer who had done a wonderful job and I did not want him to have to pay them directly. If Olsen would have billed me, I would not have paid the bill.

Richard Olsen came out to give us a quote. He was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. The quote was comprehensive and a fair price. In the end we chose a different company, but it was really just a flip of the coin. Both companies were very speedy & professional, and it was tough decision as the quotes were very close in price.

Ken came out and described what work needed to be done. He was very informative and professional. His bid was the same as another bid I received. I did not go with Olsen Tuckpointing but I would not hesitate to call of them again. It was basically a toss up in my decision to go with the other company.

I am totally impressed with Olsen Tuckpointing. Not only was Ken friendly, but absolutely prompt, and professional. With his inspection, he showed me many photographs of the problem areas of our chimney. I really appreciated being able to see what was going on {because I wasn't about to get up on that huge ladder!}. The men who came to do the work were courteous, and did a fantastic job! I couldn't be more pleased with their work, and would recommend them to anyone.

It turned out well. I have actually used them twice. They are thorough and reliable. They try to satisfy whenever possible. When I have had problems they have been quick to respond to those issues.

I only asked for a proposal to repair my chimney cap and repair tuckpointing on the two brick walls of the house. They were prompt in responding, but their price for the job was approximately 45% higher than the all but one of the other proposals I received for the exact same job. I did not use them. Follow up comment to provider's response: After I downgraded them for their high proposal they made up an excuse that I forgot about appointment and wasn't there to meet with the estimator. That is a complete fabrication on the part of the company as a way to transfer blame for a high price that I chose not to accept. I would never trust a company that makes up such responses. I believe a "D" grade for a high price is more that a fair way of expressing whether or not I as a customer would recommend a company. I would change my grade to "F", however, after their bogus claim.

They have always done a great job.

They did a very good job and everything has held up well through the past few winters. They were recommended to me by a friend's wife and her husband is a builder for homes.

Their prices were a bit higher, so I went with another company. I would get another quote from them before I would decide to use them.
