Excellent work. From the quote to finish, all staff were very professional. The tuckpointer, Jim, tested a few different colors of mortar to get the best match. You cannot even see the difference between the old and new. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent. They are very responsive and called right away and came out for estimate quickly. Followed up when they said they would. Very honest and told me if something did not need to be done. Work was excellent. They are very nice and friendly to work with. Definately recommend.

It went very well. To pay himself through college, my husband did masonry work. He was VERY impressed with the work that was done, and how clean it was afterward. Not a drop of tuckpointing stuff was found on the ground and everything was caulked very well. To impress my husband if a VERY big deal! BTW - we received (3) quotes and their bid was in the middle.

The bricks on our front patio were damaged by another contractor. Although that contractor tried to repair the bricks, the completed work was poor. We were in the process of getting our house ready to sell so the porch had to look good. I called Olsen as they had done a beautiful job on our chimney. They were very responsive. They gave me the estimate quickly and completed the work before the first showing. We are extremely grateful not only for their excellent workmanship, but also for their kindness in understanding our situation.

From the estimate to the final waterproofing, everything went very smoothly. Ken came out promptly for the estimate, the work was scheduled quickly and performed exactly as promised. The chimney looks like new. Thank you very much!

Terrific - delivered on everything as quoted. Gentlemen arrived at 7am on the date of scheduled work, explained everything they would be doing, then did it. Cleaned the entire area afterward, kept us up to date on the work as they did it. Very professional, very pleasant, just a great experience. As they told us they would, they came back the next day to wash, then a couple days later to seal the wall. Had a very heavy rain yesterday, and no water got into the garage. Highly recommend Olsen.

I received 3 bids and Rich's bid was competitively priced for the work done. He did not try to sell me services I didn't need. His references were impeccable. Crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. I would definitely use this company again.

The project was quick and easy for the well trained crew who has done a job on the Navy station Great Lakes military base. The crew cleaned up after themselves and asked if I want to be notified when the first phase of the job was complete. I seen the first completed phase and the bricks were drying out and left a pink/salmon color. The Olsen employee said not to work worry next week a acid wash will be done to restore the bricks natural color. Sure enough next week came about and the acid wash did it's purpose. The second phase of the job was a success no issues after that so now I am feeling comfortable when winter arrives and when a big rain shower occurs no more leaks because of the job from Olsen Tuck pointing Company.

sometimes you can learn a lot about a contractor from the projects that they turn down and the reasons why they do so. i spoke with richard olsen to discuss a project that involved construction at my door stoop; they were very prompt in responding to my inquiry with a telephone call and subsequent site visit. as it turned out, mr. olsen declined the project because he didn't feel that he wasn't certain that he could perform the work project and achieve a result that met the level of quality that would be satisfactory. we spent quite a bit of time discussing the different possible approaches to the project during which mr. olsen raised some difficulties in implementing the project that seemed quite valid. it's easy for a contractor to fake confidence in the ability to do a proposed project without thinking through in advance how (or if) they are going to be able to execute on the project. so i was impressed by the integrity with which mr. olsen approaches his work. in this instance, since he decided that he would not take on my project, there was no immediate payday in this, so there was no obvious incentive to subsequently spend time discussing the project further. i would not hesitate to contact olsen tuckpointing in the future.

Olsen was the most reasonable estimate of the ones I had. Bob came out and gave me a estimate and explained what they where going to do and how they where going to do it. The whole process and communication was very professional. Would definitely use Olsen again.

We chose Olsen because they best understood what we were trying to do, were prompt and courteous and had a competitive price too. Bob was great in his communication of what would happen and when. Ken came and did the job. He was friendly and did more than we expected, was hard working and got the job done fast and well. They honored the Angie's list discount and it was overall an excellent experience. We already recommended them to a friend. I was very happy that I chose them.

Olsen was recommended by my roofing contractor. Ken from Olsen came out four days after my initial contact and sent me a proposal the next day. Thanks to my roofer's efforts, Olsen came out earlier than they had originally scheduled (in mid rather than late September) to do the actual work. On the first day, they did most of the repairs which included removing the top course (layer) of bricks, removing the old concrete chimney cap and installing a new one, replacing the top piece of the flue pipe and grinding out and re-tuckpointing all mortar joints above the roof line. They also repaired some joints below the roof line and caulked everything as needed. Two days later they returned to remove the "form" from the new chimney cap and wash everything down. I thought that Olsen's price was on the high side but they appear to have done very good work, their people were polite and informative and they cleaned up after themselves.

Did a very nice job and did what I needed done. All of the other companies I contacted only wanted to tear down and rebuild.

They were excellent in every category. They were prompt and reliable. They've been in business for a long time and are a family owned company, which I like. Their price was lower than other bids. They came back to clean an area that had masonry dust afterwards, by power-washing it. They were just on my side, the whole time. I was so comfortable doing business with them.

Olsen's came out and did a walk through and found cracks that we hadn't seen and offered solutions. They suggested caulking instead mortar due to the fact that the cracks appeared to be settling cracks and they thought caulk would expand and contract much better than mortar. They felt that if we applied mortar we'd would have them back in another 6 months. We ended up changing our request for work several times and Olsen's worked with us each time with no difficulty. We also had them come out and check our roof and parapet walls. Again, they came out when they said they would, took photos, and explained the problems and solutions very concisely. They were prompt with their estimates and never pressured us in any way. The days of the scheduled work they showed up on time and did what they said they'd do (and more!) and cleaned up afterwards. Even thought they did more than we requested the bill remained the same. We have a lot more work that needs to be done and will be having them back next year. Since it's a big job we have to break it down into what needs to be done right away and what can wait longer. Olsen's had no problem with that and explained what they thought should be our priorities. Their prices were better than another competitor by about $1,000. We were all impressed with their work and that fact that they showed up when they said they would and did what they said they would and more.

I have used this company several times over the last 30 years and I am always very happy with the outcome. This is a family owned company that has been in operation for over 40 years.
