Michael Gooman was a great salesman. Assured us he knew how to address the water problem that caused water from heavy rains to flow through the earth onto our driveway on one side, causing mud in front of our garage door area. I asked him to show me some of his other projects, thinking I was doing my due diligence before we signed the contract. He outsourced the driveway construction. His crews were initially here full time excavating by hand, the earth that had to be shored up. Towards the end of the project, his crews would come partial days as he had other projects in the works. All-in-all, we had no complaints about the length of time this project took since it was a big project in our minds. The driveway was done adequately, but there ended up being a crack over the drainage pipe where the parking pad met the length of driveway. The driveway company patched it, but would not redo the work to look seamless. Goodman was no help in this particular scenario. About 2 yrs. after the work was done, our retaining wall on the longest side caved in due to the force of water from rains. I contacted Goodman and he came out to look at it. He informed me that our warranty did not cover this mess. He offered to repair it at a discount, if, I would give him more landscaping projects in our back yard. Needless to say, I did not take him up on his offer. We ended up hiring another landscaper to just fix the collapsed wall as best he could. Eventually, we hired another landscape company to tear out the entire length of wall and do the job right, including creating a deeper swale further away from the retaining wall. This company also redid the steps leading up to the back yard that were uneven and had moved out due to soil movement behind them. They also redid the front pavers leading up to our front door as those were loose and needed filler material between each paver. All I can say is, beware of this company and its owner.

They took much longer to finish the job than promised and did not honor the warranty. We ended up paying a second landscaper to replace the dead trees and plants after less than a year. He is being sued; we should have checked with the BBB first!

They were really nice to work with. The owner, Michael, really listened to what we wanted and to our ideas. He was able to work a lot of our ideas into the final plan and he came up with something so much better than what I would have come up with on my own. The crew that actually came to do the job was very professional. They checked in with me periodically. They took good care of our house and cleaned up every day at the end of the day.
