Mike Doetsch arrived right on time. He began on the home’s roof and exterior then moved inside. Mike was very thorough, check all major appliances as well as plumbing and electrical systems. Each step of the way, he gave us a brief summary of what he’d found. We received a detailed written report with photos the next morning. Mike is incredibly thorough. For example, he used a ladder as well as binoculars to check the roof.

Everything went very well. Mike Doetsch (owner) arrived on time. He asked some questions and explained what he would do and in what order. He inspected the outside of our townhome unit, then he went into the attic. Next, he inspected the second floor of our unit. After that, he inspected the main floor and then the finished basement. Each step of the way, Mike gave us a summary of items he’d found and commented on whether or not an item of concern was related to safety vs. mere cosmetics. We found this very helpful. Mike spent two and a half hours and, in our opinion, was very thorough. The language he used was not technical so he was easy to understand. Before he left, Mike told us when we could expect his written report (just a couple of days). He said he would highlight items that really needed to be addressed (that is, issues of safety). My husband and I were very pleased with Mike’s attention to detail and obvious knowledge of code requirements. He also knew what items are our responsibility and what items are the responsibility of our townhome association. We will definitely ask him to inspect our next home once we find it.

I look young for my age. So I'm used to people not taking me seriously as a home buyer. For instance, while visiting open houses, I would go with my mom and/or my brother, so people would often talk to one of them about the house. Mike was great at explaining things directly to me. And he answered other questions I asked such as could I remove a wall, move the washer/dryer, add a window.

My fiancé and I needed a home inspection and Radon testing for two houses. We are first time buyers so Mike was very thorough on the inspection and took the time out to teach us everything to look for. The pricing was expensive compared to other providers, but I thought he was worth it. We ended up going with a different house and he dropped the price for a repeat customer

It was fine. Inspector was prompt, pointed out maintenance issues and things he felt should be fixed soon vs later.

We needed inspection on a single-family ranch home built in 1970 at around 1600 sq ft. Mike is very thorough and does a great job of explaining things as he goes. He looks at every aspect, from top to bottom, and isn't afraid to get a little dirty. His turnaround time is very quick. We received the inspection report early the following morning, even though our inspection occurred late afternoon the previous day. He takes his time to address any questions. We also got a Radon inspection done. This wasn't done by Mike, but he essentially hired another certified company out and relayed the cost to us.

Mike is fantastic. We had a horrible inspector for our last purchase, so we were weary of hiring another bad inspector, but Mike went above and beyond what we would have ever expected. He inspected two homes for us recently. He takes his time and does a very thorough inspection. He kept us informed and involved throughout the inspection which helped us have a better understanding of the issues. His reports are extremely detailed and best of all, he is always open to questions and responds quickly, even after he's completed the inspection. We would highly recommend him and will be contacting him again for future purchases.

Mike was very professional and he accommodated our request to quickly get in there and inspect and turn around and report in 24 hours. It was pretty comprehensive, we were satisfied. Well, I'm not good on the price is right. Based on our family budget it felt a little high, but it probably was fair. Responsiveness was very much an A, A+.

Michael is extremely thorough and elaborate with his inspection of the home. He took the time to explain everything about the house to myself and my husband the good and the bad. His report came out the very next morning less than 12 hours and it was 40 pages with pictures and detailed descriptions of everything that needed, might need, and acceptable condition. He is prompt, and when I followed up with questions on the phone, he took the time to go through them all. I can tell he really cares about his work. This was incredibly valuable when negotiating with the sellers and we were able to obtain a credit! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I can't say enough of how incredible Mike was. He is very thorough and personable. He'll answer all your questions and remain available after he delivers the report. He got us the full report less than 24 hours after our inspection. He always educates us on what we don't know. He's got great tips for maintaining your home. He helps understand the house as an entire organism. I would use Mike again if we need his services.

With this being my first home purchase, I was nervous I wasn't going to understand particular findings/details from the inspection. However, Mike from Inspect Inc was very detailed and explained his findings thoroughly and answered any questions I had. He was able to communicate to me in a manner that I could relate and he also provided corrective actions that were applicable for any issues found. With the inspection taking place on Friday Dec. 23rd, he still managed to provide a summary of the inspection within a couple days. Would recommend to my friends and family. Only reason I gave him a deduction on the pricing scale was because the weather didn't allow him to check much of the exterior such as the roof or deck due to snow but I still paid full price. Overall, I'm very pleased with his work and will keep him in mind for future needs.

Mike from Inspect Inc was extremely professional and thorough. Not only was he thorough during the inspection, doing all the dirty work you'd want an inspector to do, but he went back out to the site on his own because he felt there was something he wanted to look at again. He wrote an extremely comprehensive report with pictures and footnotes; he amended it with more information after his second visit to the site. He was very prompt in returning my first message (on a Sunday), but also on two other occasions- one was again on a Sunday, and the other was during the week when I needed some professional advice. I couldn't have been happier with the service. I truly believe that if you hire Mike, you will be as thrilled as I was. I will recommend him in the future, and my realtor said she will too. I was extremely lucky to find him. *chose "good" for price only because I didn't really have anything to compare it to. edit- to remove from band of neighbors

Mike is professional, responsive, and punctual. He arrived early and was already on the roof before the appointment time. He went through the house and made recommendations beyond just the code/safety issues. He is knowledgeable and advises you on how to do things yourself or what needs a contractor. Mike is thorough and very patient. He's also highly recommended by my realtor.

Informative, educational, and knowledgeable is how I would describe my experience with Mike Doetsch the owner. He took the time to explain the ritual of the home inspection including all the nitty gritty details of his findings as he progressed through the inspection and in full summary at the completion. I can't recommend Mike enough! From the moment we first contacted him he helped us in every way possible. When we arrived at the property Mike was already on the roof fully inspecting that area. He was VERY thorough and inspected every nook and cranny in the house. He answered each of our many questions in great detail. He also went over every issue the house had with us and explained what was mandatory to fix and what we should keep an eye out for in the future. As being a first time home buyer we had a lot of uncertainties and anxiety going into this whole process and Mike helped alleviate these concerns. We had a interesting situation because the house has a geothermal system, solar thermal and solar panels, which Mike had limited experience with but he went out of his way to get us in contact with an alternative energy specialist. At the end of the inspection he made sure that all of our questions had been answered and he made himself available if any other question came up in the future. We received our detailed report only a few hours after the inspection. A home inspection is one of the most important parts of the home buying process and the best decision you can make is to choose Mike as your inspector.

Mike is very knowledgable and professional. He arrived at the place before the committed meeting time and already up on the roof and started the roof inspection when we get there. He answered any questions we had during the process and followed up with us to see if we have any questions after he sent the report. The report he provided is very easy to understand. We would hire him again if we purchase another house in the future.

Mike got there early and started looking at the outside of the place. and already had information for us by the time we got there. He went through each detail of the house and explained/recommended what he would do. He did a very good job and knew all the answers to any question that I had. Mike was referred to us by our real estate agent whom I also found on Angie's list. I loved my agent so trusted she would give us a good referral and am so happy she lead us to Mike at Inspect. Mike was able to detect severe roof and foundation damage to two homes I put offers in on- damage we would never have known was there- SO thankful we had him! Finally we did find a structurally sound home on our third try and are very excited about our new home- knowing it needs some repairs but won't cost a fortune. In addition to helping us make an an educated home purchase, Mike was also just generally excellent to work with. He was always on time, always extremely thorough and happy to take us through each part of the inspection to show us what he was looking at and whether he saw issues. We will definitely be using him for any inspections needed in the future, I recommend him highly!

Mike answered our call and met us at the property the next day for the inspection. He came early to the appointment and got to work right away. He went to each section of the house from exterior to interior and was very detailed. He explained things as we went thru the inspection. We would definitely recommend him to others as well as use him in the future.

I found Mike from Angie's list because he is close to the house needs to be inspected. I am lucky that I hired him. The house I wanted to buy is old and complicated with some devices such as well water conditioner system, whole house fan that I have never heard of or used before. The inspection took 3 hours to finish. Mike is very thorough and knowledgeable. He checked the house construction and functionality carefully, and answered all my questions such as how to use a device, how to maintain, which company to call if I need to fix something, how much it cost to update something, etc. I feel that anything related with house, he must know the answer. After the inspection, he also made recommendation to us about items we need to fix before move in, items we can wait later, items that if we fix them together we can save money. The second day after inspection I received a follow up call from Mike. He wanted to check if I have further questions after reading the inspection report. He then send me a email with written answers to my questions so I can copy and past the text to my attorney. We are very happy with the inspection. We will surely recommend Mike to our friends. Our buyer agent is also impressed by Mike, she believes Mike is the best house inspector she knows so far.
