Scott gave a phone estimate which ended up being right-on. The night before he called to confirm. He was a little late for the appointment, but called ahead to let me know and to make up for it did not charge me for the time he spent buying materials before the appointment. I was planning on being home all day anyway, so it did not affect me. Scott was very knowledgeable and professional. He wanted to avoid making holes in the wall, so he was very patient tracing the path of the wiring from the switch box in the master bedroom through two outlets up into a closet light. The fan job took a relatively long time (8 hours), but it was due to the complexity of putting electric where it was never intended, and not because of lack of skill. Scott was careful to not dirty anything and explained everything each step of the way. The garage outlet took about an hour. I was given an Angie's List discount of 5% off. I had no idea how expensive everything was, but they were competitive.

All of the work was done with perfection.

Faith was extremely busy, so she referred me to someone she uses frequently. Confirming they could start immediately, she gave Mike my number. He called the same day; and made a Sunday appointment to look at the job,arriving on time. He called Monday with his quote. The price was agreeable and he said they would start two days later at 8 a.m. Ludek arrived 15 minutes early. By the end of the first day the tiling in the tub surround, and all but a couple of tiles on the floor were installed. Friday he grouted both the tub surround and the floor. He cleaned the entire area, moved his equipment and the trash to his truck (removing his shoes whenever he encountered carpeting), while waiting for the grout to haze over. Ludek's workmanship is excellent; installing subway tile without spacers & every line is perfect. I was hesitant to use a company I didn't know, but the reviews on Angie's List helped ease my anxiety. I would use Faith, Mike & Angie's List again, in a heartbeat.

Faith and Rod were courteous and professional in responding to us. After answering some questions about the job, we were able to schedule the work the same week (Thu, Fri and Wed the following week). Faith emailed a written statement of work with a cost range, Rod called to confirm the day before, and Rod and Scott arrived at 8 AM Thur. to begin work. After looking over our kitchen and conferring, Rod left and Scott went to get supplies for our job. Scott was excellent! Professional, thorough, and flexible. Our new dishwasher didn't arrive until late Fri afternoon, and Scott worked until 9 PM Fri night to finish the job. Scott was also good about keeping me informed when he ran into difficulty. Our sink drain was too high for our disposal, after Scott climbed *completely* into the sink cabinet to open the wall and move the pipe down, he discovered a hole in our sewer stack that had corroded away where PVC was connected to the metal stack. Fixed, and finished below estimate.

The approximate cost is per hour. They contacted me back 20 minutes after I left a message and was able to schedule an appointment quickly. I really liked the worker, he was a good communicator, and very professional.

Overall, I am very dissatisfied. The subcontractor was friendly & did a very good job with the wall repairs, but he apparently was not qualified to assess and fix the underlying problem with our shower. He merely applied caulking rather than recognizing that re-grouting (at a minimum) was needed. As a result, we now have water damage AGAIN. In my opinion, the owners should have come out themselves to assess the problem before making the determination that a sub-contractor (who was a painter) could sufficiently address our needs. Moreover, I am not pleased at the defensive reaction I received when contacting them about this recurring problem. Basically, I was told "the sheet says you told us to caulk. So we caulked." That is not acceptable. I am not an expert at home repairs, they are. I told them about our water damage and asked them to fix it.... I relied on them to professionally assess what needed to be done to fix my problem correctly. They did not do this.

HMH removed brick steps/patio only to discover significant damage to the wood siding. They removed, replaced and painted the new siding before moving on. Concrete piers were poured, substructure framing was done and the Trex was added to the tops and step. Upon completion they cleaned Trex, the walkway where mud had dried and the walls of the house where dirty handprints had appeared. At the end of every day all of the loose pieces, nails etc were picked up. Clean up during and after the job was impeccable. The only thing left out was lumber and a heavy saw thing. Rod Southard kept me updated w/status before and during the job. The only glitch we had was in the initial permit submission ( which I made the mistake). Rod took over the permit at that point and moved it through smoothly and as quickly as permits can be moved. Faith At the office is super pleasant helpful not only about the job they are on but suggestions about where to get a good price on lamps and other things.

Truly wonderful to know there are still folks who care about others and their needs and not always concerned with profit. Was concerned and caring about my problem. My problem solved within 48 hours. Don't hesitate calling. I believe this company truly lives up to all they say in their ad. I have no advice. They know what they're doing.

They didn't bother to call me back at all! I could understand if they're too busy - but no call?

I asked them to install 2 gas lanterns. They told me they only do a minimum of 8 hours of works and she did not think this would take 8 hours so I had to come up with other jobs to fill in the extra time that I would be paying for. So I asked if they could replace broken screens and she said it would be better if I go to hardware store for a job like that. Then I said do you do brick work or masonry and she said the people they would be sending for the gas lanterns don't do that kind of work. Then Handyman got on the phone and decided that my job would be more than 8 hours and perhaps 2 days of work. They wouldn't come and give me a good estimate because they say they give estimates over the phone all the time. Then they asked me to email pictures of the job to them. I told them that I decided I live too far away and I would find someone closer.

We called Faith, and the painter came over that evening to give us an estimate. After some negotiating, we agreed on a price and the work began the next day. It took three days to complete and it was done professionally and very neatly. We also had shelves installed by Rod after the work was completed by the painter. He did a great job too.

Rod and staff did a great job. All the way from planning, offering suggestions, to obtaining material and completing the job. Everyone was extremely professional and communication was great. The end result looks fantastic, better than expected actually.

Mrs. Southard was very pleasant. However, she made me feel, as though I lived in Outer Mongolia, instead of less than 20 miles away. She stated that the company had a policy of charging $250 to give a quote, although she provided me her hourly rate and a rough estimate of how long certain portions of my job would take. She did say they would take the $250 off the final bill, if we had them do the work.

I was very pleased. They came when they said, they did an excellent job, they did some things that I had forgotten to get an estimate on & even came back to retouch some plaster that got knocked out when another guy came & installed a new ceiling sky-light window. They didn't quit until everything that I wanted was done.

Everything about this job went right from the very beginning. I was unable to keep the first date scheduled for installation, so Scott made himself available to work 12 hours on his day off to install the bifolds. The installation of the passage doors was slower than anticipated because of the unusual design of the doors and the fact that openings were not plumb. At every step, Scott advised me of what he was doing and why--giving me choices of less costly options that might not look as good. He was very conscious of wanting to be sure that the installation quality matched the door quality. Everything Scott touched ended up better than it started--from the tile floor that he had to cut down, but then reinstalled even though the tiles had been loose to begin with, to the front screen door, which didn't close properly before he started the job, but which he made sure worked perfectly before he left. Scott was polite, professional, worth every penny, and a pleasure to have in my home.

They did a flawless job. I had never used them before but given the high ratings on Angie's List, I used them without getting another estimate. They were able to do the work quickly, we were putting the condo on the market and completed everything in 2 days over a weekend. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work, and Faith is an absolute pleasure to work with. She was so responsive that she even returned my call while en route to an out of state funeral. Ladies, the painters were gorgeous - added bonus!

They wanted to charge $75.00 and hour. They also wanted at lease 1 hour and asked for a guarantee of 2 hours. I only needed this one thing done and could not guarantee an hour.

The job went well from beginning to end. Rod was on time for all our appointments and the job started on schedule. All workmen were polite and professional and did an excellent job.

They were very responsive, but since they quoted sight unseen the quote was over double what I ended up having the work done for. They would have come in person to quote for $100 and then taken it off if I had hired them, it just seemed like it wasn't a good fit. Too much money to spend if they were still too high. They were willing to do a job that others didn't want to tackle though. I would probably recommend them to someone that is closer to their business area.

They came out to give a bid on several projects. After we agreed on the project, the team showed up and did the work. They were very professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend them! They also did some other work I have rated in the Handyman category.

Excellent. We have no complaints. The price was what we were quoted, work started and finished when promised. No hassles, no mess, no prob.
