Handy Men & Mrs Helper Kitchen & Bath

It did not go well. All were very responsive and friendly. The issue: the advised me to purchase a specific type of range hood. I did so. The tech came to the house, said it did not seem to be an issue but he had to purchase the remaining vent products to vent through the roof. He came out on a Saturday ( which I appreciated) then determined the hood would not work. IT was a huge waste of my time as I had to return the hood to ABT. He recommended I look for a different hood. Lesson learned. I am now looking for a vendor who will furnish and install a hood. I would accept estimates from this company again but only for simple repairs or work.

The project went great! From the first meeting with Andy to Heath explaining to me in detail during the project what he was doing. Confirming with me also that what they were doing is what I wanted. Because I am a women rehabbing my home I very much appreciated not being talked down to. Sad thing is that some contractors feel that is expectable, not the case with Andy and Heath. The time line was perfect, even with the 4th of July falling in the middle of this project things still got done in a good time frame. Clean up and disposal of all garbage was done by them and did not have to worry about any of that. Getting ready to have Handy Men and Mrs. Helper to take on my kitchen rehab...looking forward to working with once. Thanks!!

Steve was promptly on time. Completed the work in a timely fashion and did a great job of cleaning up. We were also have electronic gear installed by another company the same days and Steve assisted by installing an electrical outlet in the wall for the new electronic gear.

They were fantastic! Excellent communication and the work was very good.

They thought they were doing something cosmetic and it was actually structural work that needed to be done. We scheduled an appointment, they came out and said they couldn't complete the job at the time of the original appointment. Therefore, We set an additional appointment for 4 weeks later. It turns out they are not bonded or insured in my city and they asked me to pay for their bond. In addition to having to be bonded and insured the village told them they had to submit a drawing before work could be completed. They told me this would be an additional week before work could start.

The contractor came and immediately installed the drywall. His workmanship reflected a highly experienced carpenter. The contractor was very professional and very friendly to talk to while he did his work. He began painting the wall after the drywall had been fixed and completed the job in a timely manner. We will definitely request this particular contractor again for other projects. Furthermore, the office staff to the "Handymen and Mrs. Helper" are second to none! They are a very polite and professional group of referring facilitators. I feel like I have found the best company I could find to help fix up my house!

There were some glitches, not their fault. We had some water damage on the inside of my foyer, which necessitated him to add some plywood before adding the door. He told us about the damage and how he would fix it - we agreed. The young man, Brad, was a problem solver. He explained everything he was doing and I really appreciated everything they did.

FANTASTIC! They arrived on time and were friendly and professional. The work is absolutely fantastic! The work was also done in a timely manner. I will definitely hire Handy Men & Mrs. Helper in the future.

We received a detailed appraisal for the bathroom remodel. All questions were clearly answered - and we had a lot of them. Anne and Andy gave us recommendations/resources for tile and plumbing accessories. They made sure that we were satisfied with the service we received from their resources. Delivery and pick up dates went smoothly. The work was carefully completed. Heath has a good eye for detail and offered good suggestions. During the installation, I appreciated how carefully the carpeting was covered and the mess kept to a minimum. We felt very comfortable with the workers in our home. They are honest, respectful professionals who know their business and follow through with all expectations. Would we use them again? You bet! We have a date set to have our house painted in August.

Anne in the office worked to find someone who could come to assess the problem since they are so busy. Brad came out within a short time and suggested solutions. We decided to replace the entire mailbox post rather than just try to straighten it since the wood was beginning to rot. In just another day or two, Brad found that he had some free time in my area and he went to Home Depot for the materials and reconstructed the structure. It is now very solid and he designed it with care - it looks great

Pawal came to my house for a list I had accumulated He was professional, cleaned up after himself and timely. I would definitely Hire them again as well as recommend to anyone who asked

They were a quick response and they were highly rated on Angie's List. The job was excellent. The quality of the job and the ease of making the appointment stood out.

All of our communication with them went very well. They just happen to be out of our service area. They even went so far as to comment that they wished they could work with us. No complaints.

Requested an estimate for installation of a pocket door. Spoke with Ann she scheduled the carenter to come out with a few days. Carpenter came to my residence and was very familiar with the type of job. He took some measurements and pointed out an issue with electric that could prevent installation. He wanted to see if he had a work around before he gave me a price. I was told I would be contacted by Anne to see what could be done. Ann called within a few days and said the door could only be installed if the electrical switch was moved. I told her I would have an electrician move the switch and requested that she provide a quote. She stated she would prepare an estimate and send it to me. That was on June 30, 2014. I Never heard from the company again.

Anne at the office was incredible to work with. She was very kind and responsive. She sent Pawel out to install a new door for me. Pawel was professional, worked fast, and cleaned up nicely after himself. He had to problem solve because the door opening was slanted (from a previous owner's DIY gone bad) Pawel was able to fix that problem as well as install my new door. I will work with them again in the future.

Because of the location of the vent fan, I thought that one job would take all day but Steve finished everything in about five hours. Everything was done exactly the way I wanted and looks great. (I had several plumbers--none from Angie's List--look at the vent fan and none of them wanted to work on it because of the location.) I will definitely call Handymen and Mrs. Helper again. Steve did a marvelous job!

I will not use their service. The lady who was on the phone and I were not communicating well that day. I did not have a great experience with them.

The estimate was very accurate and the work went well. They were very clear about different options and we ended up with exactly what we wanted. The work was done quickly with attention to detail. I would use them again!

This is the second time I have used this service and they get better to work with each and every time. Anne in the office is very accommodating and goes above and beyond to help get your work done. As I mentioned above Steve is highly skilled and is very easy to work with thus doing such an excellent job. I would highly recommend them. Thank you.

Mrs Helper followed up promptly and provided a quote over the telephone. We decided to go with them base on the reviews here. The handyman was excellent, he was prompt and kept us informed of the project. He completed the job like the room was brand-new and as if there were no modifications to it.

Had a very good experience with this company. Great email contact and set up work time right away. We purchased all materials before they arrived and left them a list. Workers completed all tasks on the list; wish I had left a longer list! We will definitely use them again for other projects around the house. I felt we got our money's worth and appreciated the fact that they were here on time and completed the projects exactly as described.

The team did the work excellently. They paid close attention to take care the minor details such as the electric outlet, baseboard. My house has high ceiling in the living room, they painted that area also perfectly. Will recommend to anyone who would like a painting job.

Provider was very responsive and flexible. We didn't use them only because we managed to fix the problem ourselves. However, we would not hesitate to contact them again.

We had 5 spots to repair of dry wall, a bathroom with highly damaged walls from wallpaper removal and past peeling. Also had 4 rooms to paint, large foyer, and 2 tall stairways with 2 connecting hallways. Yorin and Rein were a great team! They worked fast, hard, and neatly! They were here 4 days and each day they vacuumed up and cleaned the mess so we could still live normal:) Very kind and trustworthy- left the house while they plowed thru the work!
