Description of Work: Repaired bedroom closet and did a great job. They didn't complete the painting in two of the bedrooms as promised but I discussed it with them and was ok with it given they did not charge me for it.

Description of Work: We are repeat customers because we appreciated the quality of service we received before. Everyone associated with the company from Mrs. Helper Faith to the various contractors listened to us and performed each task with skill and efficiency according to our needs and desires. They have integrity and demonstrate professionalism. They clean up before considering a job complete. The contractors are able to repair or install anything so it is advantageous to the customer to have one person complete a couple or a list of unrelated things without having to pay for multiple service fees. So in the same trip we can have new front door hardware installed, new electrical outlets installed, new utility sink and hardware installed, fix loose shingles, tighten a loose railing, etc. We highly recommend their services.

Description of Work: We called and asked for a doorsweep to be repaired/replaced during the week of Thanksgiving. They were very responsive and arranged to come out. The handyman was very knowledgable and worked efficiently. He also taught us quite a bit about doors!

Description of Work: I am late to review but I'll Start out by saying I'm glad I waited. My kitchen sink was done for and leaking from the faucet making it unusable. We had scheduling issues and almost decided to go elsewhere but Faith was so patient and nice I decided to wait until we can get our schedules together. Steve came out and did a fabulous job of removing and installing my new sink and faucet. He also removed the water damaged shelf at the base of the sink it was soaked beyond repair. My faucet is working as it should and I have no more water underneath.. Thank you! In addition I had a leak in my rec room thankfully it was small enough for him to do his voodoo and patch it. I have since had no leakage in that area. I have a list of other work that needs to be done and I know I will be calling them again for any repairs or assistance around my house that I need.

Description of Work: I had them wall off a room for my daughter with a closet and door. They did it quickly and efficiently in a few days. A few things bothered me like the unpainted trim and the closet door that fell off after a few days. The door is still leaning against the wall.

Description of Work: Replaced an old door, cut to size and was able to fit the lockset I bought into the door. Also, on a second job, moved a soil stack in my roof. Was on time, estimate exactly matched price. I would highly recommend to anyone. I have 3 more estimates out to do more work on my house with them!!!

Description of Work: Old outdoor hot tub which was in a gazebo taken apart and removed. Outdoor fence poles replaced. Two house doors fixed so they open and close correctly.

Description of Work: We call company to evaluate leaking porch window, but instead guy fixed our steps from the deck. He was not sure about the window, but he was there ready to help.

Description of Work: I e-mailed about a front storm door that had gotten bent/broken from the wind. Within an hour or so, I had heard back from Faith who was in California who had passed my name on to Tim who e-mailed me promptly. I called him at his request and he agreed to come over and look at the door situation to give his opinion within a couple hours. We may choose to have some more extensive repair done to the frame when the weather gets better but he offered to buy a new part and do a basic repair right away. He went to Menard's and fixed it so it is useable. I was impressed with the promptness, good advice, and his pleasant manner.

Description of Work: Steve came over with the doors and was well prepared and did everything perfectly. I asked him to do an additional item of putting up some mini blinds I had, and he was very open to doing additional projects. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Tim of Handymen and Mrs. Helper installed a replacement bathroom exhaust fan/light. As long as he was there, I also asked him to replace a part that was going bad in one of our toilets. As well, I asked his opinion on a possible bathroom fixture project. This was Tim's first visit to my house, but he was just as knowledgeable and professional as Steve who has been to the house in the past. I've now used their services three times and will continue to do so for various projects as they arise. I am very confident in their abilities and would recommend them to others.

Description of Work: We hired Handymen and Mrs Helper to install an electrical panel, upgrade basement from 2 to 3 prong outlets, insert a GFCI outlet in laundry room, replace old electrical at meter, and insert grounding rod. Vince was a great guy to work with. They did an excellent job, were professional, responded quickly, and reasonable.

Description of Work: My 27 windows needed caulking, Steve was very conscientious and made sure to clean not only the surfaces in contact with the caulk, but cleaned all of the glass on the windows so it would look good when he was done. We also replaced a window. We ran into a slight problem because it is an existing house and Steve worked on it to assure that it worked perfectly We needed to reconnect ducting from bathroom fans. Steve was very conscientious and worked in cramped attic spaces to do this work. What I liked best was that Steve thinks ! He looked at the job and didn't just do it to get finished and get paid. He made sure to finish the job correctly. You don't see that too often ! Keep it up Steve. I give him an 11 out of 10.

Description of Work: Steve was the man who came to our home. He has done many jobs for us that include building us a beautiful deck with wrap around fence and installing kitchen cabinets for us as well. We are having Steve come back to do more work for us in the near future, Steve is fantastic! He's precise and will not tell you that you need to spend money on something you really don't have to. He is fair and professional. We would tell anyone to use Steve! Thanks!

Description of Work: I had an animal run through the sliding screen door of the townhouse I am renting. As my landlord gave his consent for me to get it fixed myself (over the weekend), I put in a request for someone from this company to call me. Early Monday morning I received a call from them. Not only was the woman was extremely nice & helpful - but since this was a minor job, she told me how to take care of it WITHOUT hiring her company!! I was very impressed & would highly recommend this company for their honesty! Hopefully I won't have any more problems while I live here, but if I do - I would hire them without hesitation!

Description of Work: I called this company and spoke to both, Faith & her husband. I was planning on having them come out and measure, etc. for hardwood floors. They never called back to set an appointment. Guess they didn't need the work.

Description of Work: They put in outside stairs for the cellar door. Put up a light and fixed tiles in the ceiling for the breezeway.

Description of Work: I was very pleased with the Company's responsiveness as far as obtaining an estimate. I needed an estimate for out master bath as far as retile, replacing shower door, shower faucets. Both Rod, and Faith were very nice, and professional over the phone. They provided me with a written, and very detailed estimate through email. However, I was really reluctant about hiring them since no-one ever came out to meet with me. I decided not to hire them because of the fact that even though their prices and everything else seemed reasonable, I wanted to meet with them to have them look at the bathroom. I have mentioned that to Faith, and she said that Rod would be there during the entire remodeling process. I still didn't feel comfortable with that. I cannot take a chance of them saying that this, and that is not what they were expecting after the job had started. I would rather set everything from the beginning as much as can be done.

Description of Work: He hung a fixture in my dining room, replaced a fixture above the sink, did some grouting in the bathroom, and various other small jobs.
