Description of Work: from a materials and workmanship point of view, they get an A. Good to work with. Had a variety of things to be done. However, i still doubt we got the full value of "The Big Deal". They would not show us how the $500 credit we were supposed to receive was applied to the cost of the job. When I deducted $500 from the final bill, they objected and said that was already figured in the pricing. But then they couldn't or wouldn't show how they actually applied it.I first got the story it was built into every line item on the first estimate. If that was true, i definitely didn't get full value as we decided against one significant line item (thus the discount dollars for that line should have been moved to another, reducing the cost, but that didn't happen). Then they claimed it was a flat "dollar off at the end" calculated by Quickbooks - but the sum of the line items added to the invoice total, so that wasn't it either. It was never a line item on an estimate or invoice. I would just recommend that anyone using an Angie's list "Big Deal" dollar off offer be sure to demand to see how and where the discount is being applied at the very first estimate. There standard form states "all discounts applied" so you need to hold them to this on the very first estimate. Our work totaled about $8000, was well done, and they were very neat. But i am unconvinced "The Big Deal" terms were honored.

Description of Work: New construction house: We needed 2 full baths (1 with a water closet), and a powder room's walls & ceilings painted. (I'd guess around 175-200 sq.ft.) |Each bath only had contractor-grade, thin, latex paint applied. All required something much more moisture resistant in white. Especially, before we had been moved in for too long. | |I did not have any project bandwidth of my own and felt this way would be a quick & simple way of getting a TO-DO off my list. | |We worked with Anne & Ginger @HMMH for the project's mgmt & scheduling by email & phone. |There were a few communication bumps with the 'email' interface thru the Angie's List system--but they did not negatively impact the project itself. | |HMMH scheduled their best painters (EJ & Steve), and the best we've ever worked with in a long time: |- Professional, talented & attentive to details large & small. |-- Definitely high-quality, experienced craftsmanship; not "paint slappers". |- Appointments were kept & were punctual. |- Estimates were detailed & accurate for the work requested. |- Project day began on time. |-- Scope & plan was discussed. |-- Areas were prepped and work was performed efficiently, without any distraction to the rest of the household. |-- Once finished we walked thru the areas to review/approve the work |-- All areas and any project trash were swept, vacuumed & cleaned up nicely by the painters. |-- Final payment was made to the office the next day by phone. | |Great experience with great people. |We will contract & work with them again.
