Faith was very responsive and able to schedule work to be done later the same week that I called. Scott called the night before to verify/discuss work to be done the next day. He showed up on time the next morning, and was very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He did excellent quality work - everything was framed in just beautifully! - and he accomplished quite a lot in one day. He stayed 2 extra hours in order to finish the job. We also asked his opinion about some other work we need done, and he had excellent ideas. We definitely intend on having Scott back to work on our other projects. Overall we were extremely pleased with the whole experience!

The two guys did a good job and communicated everything very well. I'll use them again when the need arises.

We decided to do the work ourselves, but were very impressed with how quickly Faith called us back and how she followed up a few days later with a phone call when we forgot to call to let her know our decision. The price quoted seemed reasonable, and if we change our mind about doing the work ourselves, we would not hesitate to use them for the job.

I had an excellent experience. I left a message while they were on vacation, but Faith Southard called me from vacation, and we set a time to talk over the weekend. Faith spent a great deal of time on the phone with me, understanding the nature of the work I needed done, then scheduling work to be completed almost immediately. Due to an injury, Faith sent two people to my house, and they performed the work in tandem. Scott oversaw the job; he was very knowledgeable and provided me with some good advice regarding a problem he found in the basement. My experience with everyone from Handymen & Mrs. Helper was just great -- I will definitely use them again, and recommend them to others as well. Faith completed this engagement with a follow-up phone call. She was extremely professional and customer-focused throughout.

The young man who did the work was knowledgeable and polite. He completed the job in a timely manner and did excellent work! I was extremely pleased and would definitely use him again.

It was very enjoyable to converse with Faith Southard, owner of Handymen & Mrs Helper. Faith was a great listener, as I explained some of my projects. She volunteered ideas and suggestions. Scott, the handyman was the person assigned to these tasks by Faith. Scott's an amazing person. 1) He interacts with the customer in a very friendly, and INFORMATIVE way. (2) He is very, very detail-oriented. Does a job to absolute perfection. (3) When Scott notices something unusual, he would bring me over to point out those things. That was very beneficial. (4) This was my best experience regarding Handyman, Plumbing, Carpentry type of work. (5) Scott was accompanied by Heath on two occasions, which enabled my projects to be implemented quicker. MY CONCLUSION (1) Use Angie's list. It's a GREAT resource (2) Use Handy Men & Mrs Helper. It's a great way to get projects implemented well. (3) If you are lucky enough to get Scott assigned to your projects, stuff will get done PERFECTLY

Scott was on time. Very polite and courteous. Did the jobs well. You have him for four hours at the minimum price of $300. He will do anything he is capable of in that time. Additional hours are at $75/hr. if needed. The owners assign different employees based upon the job(s) you need to have done.

Joe worked efficiently at all times and affected all repairs within the estimated time frame. I was pleased with his performance.

This was a large multi-faceted redecorating job in a house we just purchased. We had very specific ideas about what we wanted done in some places, not so specific in others. We appreciated Rod's suggestions on the tasks we weren't as specific on, several of which we accepted and are thrilled with the results. We were happy to find one single contractor who could complete so many varied tasks and yet still work along with the schedules we had previously setup with other contractors involved in the project. The whole project went as smoothly as we could've hoped and we are extremely pleased with the results. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to anyone else.

The work was performed by Rod Southard (owner) and Jay (a subcontractor). Rod and Jay were very professional and easy to work with. We were very impressed with the quality of their work, their efficiency, promptness, and work ethic. They were here when they said they would be and completed the job in about 2 weeks. We had high expectations on what our kitchen renovation would add to our home. Rod and Jay over delivered! We are absolutely thrilled with the results and the changes have transformed our home. These guys pay attention to the details and obviously take great pride in their work. Overall, we feel that we got good value for our money. We enjoyed working with Rod and his wife Faith - they are very nice people and run a good business. We would definitely use Mr. Handymen & Mrs. Helper for future work and would highly recommend them.

Scott was excellent. He was clean while he worked and was a great communicator. He was concerned that the problems were fixed exactly how I wanted it to be.

Owner quickly responded to call and arranged for worker within two business days. Scott, the handyman, was exceptional. He was on time, polite, and explained everything thoroughly. Designed and built the shelf to meet our needs. Explained why the garbage disposal wasn't working and showed us how to repair it ourselves if the problem should happen again. Hung everything with precision, and left materials for us to scrape the drywall since we are painting ourselves. Stayed 11 hours to completion of work without complaint. Even noticed a problem not on our list of repairs and attempted to repair without additional charge. Willing to take our hail damaged screens and work on them as time allows with no charge until they are re-installed in the spring. A truly wonderful company to work with.

The repairman, Jay, arrived on time. He was very methodical, and thoroughly inspected all three fans as well as how they were vented. He inspected everything, and provided me with information, and options for me to make an informed decision on what I would like done. He was well organized, and worked efficiently to complete the work in a timely manner. I felt the price was reasonable, and will have them return in the Spring to complete other outside repairs I need done. I highly recommend this company.

Rob was very patient in giving me options to keep project on budget. The work was done on time and as promised. As with any project, there were issues/unexpected things. They were worked out as they arose.

Rod and Faith are an awesome team. They were friendly, professional, easy to work with, responded quickly to calls, requests, and information I needed. They were very knowledgeable and flexible. They did everything possible to make the work as painless and smooth as possible to meet my needs. The work Rod did was excellent. He was very resourceful and always had an incredibly great attitude, no matter what. I highly recommend them and definitely would use their services again in the future!

JAY WAS ON TIME. CALLED TO MAKE SURE I WOULD BE OK WITH THE TIME. VERY CLEAN. DID ALL CLEAN UP AND MADE SURE I WAS PLEASED WITH WHAT HE DID. ALSO COMPANY GAVE ME A REDUCED RATE.

SCOTT CALLED TO TELL ME THAT HE WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND GOING TO BE SLIGHTLY LATE--WHICH I GREATLY APPRECIATED. HE WAS VERY POLITE AND ACCOMMODATING AND SEEMED TO HAVE A GOOD IDEA OF HOW TO PROCEED WITH ALL REPAIRS. I THOUGHT THAT THE PRICE WAS RATHER HIGH ($75/HOUR WITH A 4 HOUR MINIMUM PLUS $50 DRIVING FEE), BUT I NEEDED SOMEONE TO FIX THE FAN LIGHT, AND I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE THAT AN ELECTRICIAN WOULD HAVE COST A MINIMUM OF $90/HOUR. I DID NOT AT ALL FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE HAVING THIS MAN IN MY HOUSE. I WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN IN THE FUTURE, JUST BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY OF THE HANDYMAN WHO CAME AND THE PEOPLE WITH WHOM I DEALT ON THE TELEPHONE.

HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. VERY NICE GUY. ALL GOOD THINGS. I FELT THAT THEIR CHARGES WERE QUITE REASONABLE. THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THE MONEY WAS NOT OUT OF LINE. PRICE WAS FOR 4 HRS WORK AND MATERIALS. VERY PLEASANT. VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH.

HE DID EVERYTHING, AND QUITE PLEASANTLY. THEY PROMISED TO WORK ONLY 4 HOURS SO I WOULD HAVE CONTROL OVER THE COST. THERE WERE A FEW OTHER THINGS I NEEDED DONE AND HE STAYED OVER TO FINISH IT, RATHER THAN HAVING TO MAKE ANOTHER VISIT. I PLAN TO USE THEM ON THE NEXT THINGS I WANT TO HAVE DONE. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THEM A PLUSES ALL THE WAY.
