Handy Men & Mrs Helper Kitchen & Bath

They did a great job cleaning and restaining the deck. They assisted in getting the correct stain color, and a stain that would last a long time with out fading. They also repaired the lattice work on the deck. I would use HANDYMEN & MRS HELPER again. The price was fair and they did a great job.

Scott deserves high praise for his efforts around our house. He did excellent work on our various odd jobs. He was a pleasure to have around and offered numerous helpful suggestions as he worked. Scott was efficient and meticulous, paying attention to detail and communicating what needed to be done. He was always clean and neat and took great care with his work. It was great to have a perfectionist working on our home! We would definitely recommend using Scott and Handymen & Mrs. Helper. We are planning to request Scott for our future needs.

The price was high but other than that, everything was great.

Note: I have had very good experiences with Handyman & Mrs. Helper separate from this job. And I do intend to use them again despite this "mixed bag" experience. Scott was the lead on the project and gave his usual 110% (great quality, efficient, neat, personable). We had a misstep with ordering parts in a timely manner, but this has been resolved. Rick was the second helper, also a very nice person, but was not as careful as Scott in carrying out the task. He took a couple of gouges out of our walls and left several pieces of debris in the carpet. I know accidents happen and I would have appreciated being told about the damage to my walls rather than discovering it for myself afterwards. I also would have liked to have been told that it was Rick's first day working with Handyman & Mrs. Helper, particularly since I inquired about his ability on his arrival. In any event, minor issues are in the process of being resolved and I anticipate that I will be happy with the end result.

He thought he could do the job and gave me a rough estimate for what it would cost to install the door. He gave me recommendations on how to save money by having the door delivered instead of having him pick it up. He is unable to do the work until he gets back from vacation. Though he said he could probably do it when they get back. He gave me some very good information. I had a very good feeling with him.

John and his crew were terrific. John gave us some suggestions on color and finish, which were very helpful. He also pointed out ways the architectural detail on the house could stand out more with the use of our base paint and trim color. Everyone was very courteous and pleasant. John reported on their progress daily and stopped to ask questions if there was any uncertainty. The crew took care with our landscape and left the area spotless. The quality of the job was very good and we will be using Handymen & Mrs. Helper (John and his crew) again for interior painting work.

Had a good experience. Had a lot of jobs to do. Accomplished most. Responded quickly.

Faith and her husband were punctual and very friendly. We would hire them in the future because they were very professional and courteous and I enjoyed speaking with them. The only reason we did not hire them was because we got offers for substantially lower price. The versatility that they offer in terms of what they can do is definitely a plus.

Contractor came out and quoted work. We were waiting on other quotes and decided on who we would use on July 21. We had not had a chance to get back to the contractors with other quotes until today. Ms. Southard called us back upon leaving a message that we had chosen someone else, and she was quite rude to us on the phone. She asked if there was anything her company could do to have us go with their services, although they were the highest quote. When she was told no, she stated that "it's people like you that make this business difficult". We did not purposely try to create difficulty for their business, and also did not appreciate being treated so rudely. We would not recommend their company to anyone for any reason. As well, she contacted us several times to try to get a decision, although we told her we were waiting on other quotes to come in. Two of those quotes were expected from other companies listed on Angie's List and we never heard back from them. She called to apologize.

Faith, AKA Mrs. Helper, was wonderful. She called to confirm appointments, checked that the work was going well and followed up any and all questions we had. Ken, the painter, was here when he said he would be, and did an absoultely excellent job. We couldn't be more pleased, and we will definitely be using them again.

While we ultimately decided to go with a lower previous bid, we were very impressed with the professional and fast way our bid request was handled. Great to deal with and would use again. Thanks!

We asked Faith to quote on dry walling, painting and carpentry for our den. Although we did not choose this company, we did have a very good experience with them from the quote stage through to our final decision. Faith was very helpful and replied very quickly to our calls and emails. We received a very competitive quote, but the final decision came down to the start date. I would not hesitate to ask Faith to quote for us on any of our future projects.

A wonderful experience, even though we didn't have them do our paint job(we decided to DIY). Very responsive and professional. Faith is a pleasure to deal with. Price quoted was very reasonable. Would definitely consider using in the future if the need arises.

Faith took the calls - returned our calls promptly, and was very methodical and professional in taking down our information, and giving estimates on the work. Keith was the handyman and he was very professional, took great care to ensure a good finish. They were very creative - we only had 3 spare tiles for the kitchen, he was able to expertly cut out a piece of the one replaced and used it to patch up a corner of the 4th tile. The end result was unbelievably good.

Well, once again Faith and her team have done an excellent job! I am very pleased with the service they have provided for me and squeezing me in and getting all my home repairs finished in a timely manner. My house will be going up for sale this week. I am on target due to this handyman company. They were willing to work with me as far as getting to my house before I left for work. Doing the job properly and cleaning up after themselves. The only regret I have is that I will not be able to hire them in the future. Hey Faith, want to move your business to Arizona!?!! Thank you once again for everything! YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG USING THIS COMPANY!!!

Handyman came right on time and performed a thorough evaluation of a bathroom we need remodeled. While at our home, he gave us several pointers in rehabbing our 80 year old home. He called the following day with a competative quote. The only reason we went with another contractor was because he was not able to begin for several weeks and we need the bathroom done by the end of the month. We are planning on calling this company the next time we need a contractor.

It was a pleasure to work with Faith when making arrangements and getting an estimate for painting. She was responsive in communications and met my needs. John, our painter, was polite, friendly and did a terrific job. John was thorough and efficient and flexible. John made sure I was pleased with the job and did any requested touch-ups before collecting payment. Overall, a great experience!

This is the second time I have used this company!! Faith told me the work would be completed in 4 days. Painter was right on schedule! On the 4th day, he was already gone by the time I got home from work! I mailed a check to Faith that evening. Kenneth patched all the little holes and painted the ceilings and walls. The quality of his work was great! My walls look like brand new! They had some extra paint and said if painter used that color I would get a discount on the paint. Nice neutral color and it looks nice on my walls. They used Benjamin Moore paint and the coverage looks great! Extremely pleased with their work once again! Jay (the contractor representing Handymen & Mrs. Helper) was excellent all around. He always showed up when he promised; his workmanship was top-notch; he always cleaned up; he was personable. The owners (Rod and Faith) are pleasant to deal with. Their follow up is prompt and thorough. Their pricing is fair. We liked the work so much that they will be redoing our master bathroom and replacing our front door next--followed by the kitchen.

SCOTT WAS VERY PLEASANT. HE WAS AT THE HOUSE FOR ABOUT 4 HOURS. WE WERE GETTING READY TO SELL THE HOUSE, AND NEEDED TO GET SOME MINOR REPAIRS DONE QUICKLY. I CALLED, AND FAITH TOLD ME THE CHARGE WAS $75.00 AN HOUR. SHE WAS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, AND WAS ABLE TO GET A HANDYMAN TO MY HOUSE WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF SCHEDULING WORK! I WILL BE USING THEM AGAIN THIS COMING MONDAY FOR THE PAINTING OF 4 BEDROOMS AND A FAMILY ROOM. I WILL LEAVE A FEEDBACK WHEN THAT WORK IS DONE. BUT, I CAN SAY FOR THE HANDYMAN PORTION OF MY PROJECTS THEY ARE EXCELLENT TO DEAL WITH. VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND THEY HAVE SEVERAL WORKERS THAT HAVE EXPERTISE IN CERTAIN AREAS. IF YOU HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT PROJECTS LIKE ME, YOU WILL HAVE DIFFERENT WORKERS FOR THE DIFFERENT JOBS. I WILL USE THEM AGAIN IF I NEED ANY OTHER REPAIRS NEEDED.

Good solid work on one day's notice. I paid $2500 for the work, which included one painter for 4 days and 2 painters for one day. This equates to 48 hours of time at $52/hour. I think this was too expensive. Nevertheless, they came the day after I called them & did a good job. I would hire them again if the price were lower. Paint was extra cost.

The workers did an excellent job. Our only complaint was the price was more than we anticipated. The owner quoted us $900 maximum (maybe less)over the phone, and we would also pay for the paint. When the job was finished, we received no invoice. The worker just told us we owed $1,050. When we called to question the $150+ of paint, the owner said something to the effect of, ''It is what it is''.
