When I contacted Faith, she was able to have Rannett come out to the apartment building the next day to quote the job. I was originally told that the job would be started that day if the price was agreeable. Rannett arrived the next day quoted the job, but was not able to start until the following day. Rannett did an excellent job on both apartment ceilings. The price was a little higher than I expected and higher than quoted by other companies, but he did an excellent job.

Rod and Faith came out to do the initial estimate. Jay was the on site carpenter. They couldn't have been more accommodating and the work was done on time and looks great! We didn't get competitive bids but we feel there's was fair

The company was timely in returning my call, however, they do not meet my needs. They are too expensive and have a minimum number of hours that they must work. Additionally, they have a trip fee.

I CALLED, WAS QUOTED A PRICE, TOLD THEM I WAS AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER AND ASKED FOR THE MEMBER PRICE. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE COLD CALL PRICE ALREADY WAS THE MEMBERS PRICE. I DESCRIBED THE PROBLEM IN GREAT DETAIL, THEY SAID THE REPAIRMAN WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE. HOWEVER UPON ARRIVAL THE GUY WAS STUMBLING THROUGH THE REPAIR. HE LEFT HAVING PARTIALLY FIXED THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM, BUT WITH A NEW ONE HAVING ARISEN. ALSO, THEY HAVE HIGH MINIMUM TIME (CHARGE).

I originally submitted a very large project. The estimate was more than I could afford. I trimmed out a bunch of things and they came in at a price I could afford. They worked with me to fit the work within my budget. The painting work was great. They subcontracted this out and the finished product exceeded my expectations. The electrical work was good. I was disappointed in the installation of a microwave into an existing built-in, the finishing work was poor and I had to call them back. Later I discovered the pipes in a bathroom sink were not connected properly.

The quality of the work was high. While we had some initial scheduling problems, we were quite happy with the work that was done.

Excellent. Immediate return call from Rod, the owner. I was hard to get a hold of, but Rod persisted. Finally, we discussed the project, general terms and schedule an appointment for the work (about 5 days after the call). One of Rod's workman (Jay), called to confirm. Jay called again the day of the appointment to confirm, given the poor weather conditions. I met briefly with Jay the morning of promptly at 8am to discuss the project. Jay was knowledgeable and equipment, with a full array of tools and offer a couple of suggestions. He completed the project while I was at work that day. The craftmanship (fit and cuts) was great. The business owner, Rod, completed the service with a follow-up call. Very professional.

This company was HIGHLY recommended by my sister-in-law, who has used them many times for various jobs on her home. After a recent basement flooding (and subsequent tear-out of our carpet and wood paneling) we needed an estimate on the remodel, as well as few odd jobs around our house. Faith has been great to deal with on the phone--we had a small misunderstanding regarding a bill, but all was smoothed over and compensated for within minutes of my phone call to her to question it. I felt Rod was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects- electric especially- and really listened to my concerns about our recent flooding and gave me advice on next steps. If we can afford them, we'll hire them for the remodel. For the small fixes, Santiago and the 2nd worker phoned in the time window and arrived as expected, worked well through all projects, and diligently on the doorbell, which proved to be unsolvable (my only disappointment). I didn't price others for the small stuff, so I chose N/A.

They estimated an exterior job. They responded quickly to my request and timely for all other requests. The quote was rather high. I decided to wait until Spring.

She's dispatched Scott to my home three times in the past 14 months, and each time I have been so pleased. He is knowledgeable, professional and polite. He will give you competent advice if you ask for it. I have yet to find a job he can't handle. We recently moved to Chicagoland from another state, and it has been a blessing to have reliable help with all the projects, which transformed a house into our home. Scott is meticulous. He does a job the way he would want it done in his own home. I have already started my list for next time! One item to note is that this company does require a minimum charge(3 or 4 hours, I think) so discuss your needs with Faith so you can determine the most cost effective way to accomplish your tasks. She is pleasant and professional.

Faith was wonderful on the phone. The crew that came out was very hard working and they cleaned up after themselves.

Jay, the handyman, was polite, knowledgeable, on time, and a good worker.

I HAD HANDYMAN & MRS HELPER PAINT A FEW MONTHS BEFORE, AND BY MY OWN FAULT, I PICKED A TOTALLY UGLY COLOR FOR THE MASTER BATHROOM. I CALLED AND ASKED IF THEY COULD COME OUT AND REPAINT THE BATHROOM AND ALSO PAINT THE LAUNDRY ROOM (JUST ONE COAT OF WHITE PAINT IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM). THEY WERE VERY NICE AND GAVE ME A GOOD DEAL CONSIDERING THEY HAD ALREADY COME OUT BEFORE (WHICH WAS NICE; HELPED ME NOT FEEL SO BAD ABOUT MY ORIGINAL TERRIBLE COLOR CHOICE). IT WAS NOT MY ORIGINAL PAINTER (RENET). I DON'T RECALL THIS PAINTERS NAME. HE WAS OK, BUT I WOULD TOTALLY RECOMMEND RENET WHO HAD DONE THE ORIGINAL PAINTING IN MY WHOLE HOUSE. BUT, FOR THE PRICE, I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS.

John came out for an estimate promptly. He and crew completed the work and did an outstanding job! He was helpful in color selection, good suggestions on room transition, came with photos and color samples, completed the work expertly and was very pleasant to work with. He also worked hard to work around a crazy move schedule and other work being done. He was a delight and I would hire again in a heartbeat.

Rod was a pleasure to deal with. He is an all-around nice guy and clearly knows his work. He was full of good advice on how to go about our remodeling. His estimate was very thorough. I am sure that he would have done terrific work if we had gone with his company. Their rates were significantly higher than the others, though, and in the end we could not afford them as we were working within a limited budget. If they had been within 10% of the other quotes, we would have chosen them.

Faith was very prompt, responsive and courteous in providing us an estimate. Jack came out to give us the estimate and seemed like a very responsible and personable guy. We were leaning towards using them, but due to limited budget, decided to go with another company which had a lower quote.

First visit - very thorough evaluation of job requirements, but was unable to do the work at that time (I needed to get shutter fasteners from manufacturer, he needed a longer ladder). He refused payment for his time. Second visit - reattached siding and checked/reattached all of my shutters. This was a relatively small job for them, but they were able to fit us in between other jobs. I would definitely use them again.

Outstanding. The work was performed promptly, leaving areas tidy and clean. The quality of the work was excellent. The demeanor of the person doing the work was professional and unobtrusive. The price was reasonable. Throughout the entire process, Faith communicated with me and made me feel comfortable and secure in what was being done. Altogether, a very, very good experience.

When I called, they were very prompt and cordell. Came on the same day and finished the job.

Showed up on time and did a great job. Went efficiently through the list. Would definitely call again.

Scott? who came out to investigate went WAY beyond the call of duty. He was late b/c of traffic, but was coming from quite far away. He looked at the problem from the outside and inside the basement, and determined the opening did not penetrate the actual house. To close off the hole leading under the porch he felt the only way to keep out whatever was digging there was to cover the hole with mesh from under the porch. I thought he was joking when he said he would crawl out the TINY window that opens from the basement to under the porch. Somehow he squeezed through there, only to find the animal had dug a den beneath the edge of the cement sidewalk under the porch! He just got some boards, covered the den opening and put up the mesh. NOTHING could have gotten me to crawl into that tiny animal-infested space. Since he had a minimum job time for my distance he asked if there were other things he could do, and took care of several odd jobs around my house.

Rod and Jay (the guy who actually did the work) were polite and cleaned up after themselves. They provided good recommendations on how to approach repairs and sugguested cost saving alternatives. They kept to their time promises and were very professional.

They did a great job removing wall paper from bathrooms, hallways, and bedroom. The paint job they did was great. I would use HANDYMEN & MRS HELPER again.
