Handy Men & Mrs Helper Kitchen & Bath

Urmas and Ivo did the entire job in approximately 1 week. They were very thorough and neat, and it was very obvious that they took pride in their work. They were both very detailed and took the time to do the job right. Faith called periodically to check on our satisfaction. We will definitely do business with them again!

This was the second time that I used Handy men and Mrs. Helper. The work was done in Sept 2006, so this review is a bit late in coming. Ray, the painter worked painstaking on repairing the bedroom wall (it needed repair because French doors were added to the entry way to the master-bath and the area where the doors attached "pulled apart from wall" FYI, this was done by my husband). After Ray finished the repair and painted, you can't even tell that the area had been repaired--it was that good. All the painting was beautifully done and the repair to the wall that was damaged where the mirror was looks great. Ray was on time, kept the areas where he was working clean and all in all had done an excellent job. Faith was great to deal with as this painting job was kind of spur of the moment because they had just finished painting my living, dining, kitchen, hallways and 1/2 bath. So when that job was finished, I thought "I need more painting done." Faith scheduled this job right away.

I am submitting this information a bit late, as the work was done in Sept 2006. But, better late then never! This had to be the best painting job I have ever seen! Not a drop of paint anywhere, perfect seams from the top of the wall to where the ceiling meet. Urmas, the painter, even went beyond his painting duties and removed 2 large glued to the wall bathroom mirrors for me. With this removal, the walls needed to be repaired and this was done wonderfully as well. Also, having had granite installed in the kitchen and 1/2 bath a week before the wall area above where the original back splash had to be repaired and this was done to the point where you couldn't even tell that the wall was damaged. Beautiful, beautiful job.

Very well! We were very pleased with how large of an opening they were able to do. We had a little problem with the drywall after the fact. However, within a couple of days of alerting Rod and Faith, the problem was remedied. Excellent customer service. We will definitely be calling for quotes etc. again.

Called this company to have two windows taken out of the side of my house. He told me he didn't have to look at the job it would be a minimum of two thousand dollars. I asked him how much he gets a hour and he told me 80 dollars. When I asked him if there is 24 hours work involved he said no but there were a lot of other cost. They get the material you don't and its so they can make money on it. Also travel time is a cost also. I think this guy is a huge rip off and IM sure I can find a carpenter for 50 dollars a hour in cash and do the same job for half. I would never recommend these people for anything ever!

This was a delightful experience. The work was done in a professional manner but I felt as if the workman loved my house as much as I do. I can't say enough good things about this company. They are a little expensive, but worth every penny.

When I first contacted them, Faith answered the phone. She was extremely polite and wanted only to help in any way they can. The process of setting up the appointment was surprisingly fast and Faith constantly kept me updated. The gentleman who came (the following day! WOW) was incredibly friendly and did the work quickly and with little to no mess (considering it was drywall work). (The name of the employee escapes me at the moment, but he was EXCELLENT!). I cannot say enough about this company. USE them and you will be very happy with your results. The cost was reasonable and all questions surrounding the price were answered. I give them the highest rating!

Beautifully. The lead rehab-er, a pleasant fellow named Santiago, was courteous, conscientious, and accountable for any and all work completed. Rod, "Mr. Handyman," was always available and willing to answer any questions, whether relevant or not.

Faith was extremely pleasant to work with from start to finish. She was responsive, honest, helpful and professional. Our job started promptly after we obtained a quote, was completed quickly with a high level of quality, and was wrapped up in a professional manner. We're very pleased with the work and would highly recommend Handymen & Mrs Helper to anyone with a residential remodeling project.

Scott and Heath are wonderful! Very competent, friendly, and hard-working. I appreciated their meticulous attention to detail. They also found solutions to problems and were able to work around obstacles. Highly recommended!

My experience was very positive. On the first project, we had forgotten one piece of hardware and Scott suggested replacing the disposal as it was ten years old. Scott went the extra mile and found a good deal on the part. For the second, Rod recommended ordering a custom cabinet and suggested a company that could help us with that (it turned out to be the builder of our previous house). Both projects turned out beautifully and I was very pleased with their professionalism.

The experience was great. Rannet arrived on time and performed the job in a professional manner. Some days later I noticed some water streaks on the wall in my bathroom. Rannet came out the next day and repainted the walls with the water streaks using a different finish. It came out beautifully. My experience with this company has been outstanding. I had other Handyman work done by Scott. Both are an asset to the company.

We got a quick response to our call to the company. We called on Tuesday and had work scheduled for that Friday. Jay, the electrician, arrived on time and had the wiring to the electrical box in the garage well in hand within 20 minutes of his arrival. The electrical outlet on the front porch looks great and will come in handy with the XMAS holidays approaching. The replacement of foyer light also went smoothly and Jay was very open to our opinion of the desired height which was very different from the previous fixture. We hit one snag when it came to the installation of the new track lighting. Upon Jay's first attempt, the track was not even from the ceiling and we did not know if it was feasible for it to be even without further evaluation. We contacted the company and they agreed to have Jay come back to evaluate and possible correct. Jay quickly responded and agreed to come the very next business day to address. Jay was able to resolve the problem.

The job went very well. Quote was competitive. Started the work within a week. Worked over the Thanksgiving holiday while we were out of town. Came back Sat and it was all done. Excellent quality of work too.

Faith responded promptly to my call and set up an appointment with handyman Scott. Scott arrived as promised and was helpful in every way in executing these varied jobs, going far beyond the scope of my original request. Both Faith and Scott were very professional, inspiring confidence in their integrity as well as their ability to achieve a favorable outcome. Both Faith and Scott called after completion of the work to be sure that work was completed satisfactorily. I would definitely call again and have already given out business cards to two neighbors. Highly recommended! People of caring, competence, consideration, and integrity!

Faith was very responsive to my calls and was able to get a service person here the same day, despite it being close to Thanksgiving. Scott arrived on time, was very friendly and polite, and worked very efficiently. I couldn't have been more pleased with his work. We will definitely be calling again in the future.

This is a wonderful company to work with. Faith is very responsive to any questions and concerns. The painter John was also very nice to deal with. I would definitely hire this company to do more work for us.

We hired Handyman and Mrs. Helper to do the work at 546 1/2 W Surf, Chicago. They subcontracted the work to Santiago and his crew. Although we haven't seen the finished work, we are quite satisfied from the photos and report our daughter sent. (We will finish the painting.) I am amazed that within one week the entire project was done (installation of floor, ceiling and wall patching work.) The responsiveness was amazing. We would give them the highest rating.

Exceptionally well. The Heat & Cool made special accommodations to make sure we had the new furnace installed and heating within 24 hours of my initial call. Completed the job on the first following business day. The final price was also exactly as quoted. We were very pleased and grateful for their dedication.

Scott arrived and, after I told him what I needed done, he performed all work as expected. He was professional and courteous, and gave advice on some concerns I had involving a sump pump and a motion light.

went well from start to finish. Scott is a perfectionist. He told me the job would take a little less time then it actually did but he did not charge me when he had to stay a little later. Customer Service is alive and well. I have had horror stories with other contractors, but this company treated you professional and respectful. I will use them again and highly recommend them. They will be coming out next Monday to finish framing 1 door with drywall and then paint the room. I would very highly recommend them to anyone.

I had service the same week I called for an appointment. A second visit was scheduled because I was unclear about the scope of the work. Also the building inspector added things necessary when he came for the first inspection. This was not the fault of the company but they sent the repairman immediately to do the remaining work. Before they even began the company made sure I was getting full value for the time required. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and I will definitely use them again.

Exceptional responsiveness and workmanship. Faith was always very prompt in returning calls, following up on specifics requests, scheduling appointments, and outlining costs and understanding what we wanted and needed. Workers called the night before to confirm the appointment and called in the morning to let us know exactly when they would arrive. Work was done expertly on all projects, workers were easy to have in the house and cleaned up very well. Faith also called afterwards to make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. Also liked that we could communicate via email which made the whole experience much more convenient for us. This is a service oriented company through and through and they have superb workmanship.

We selected Handyman & Mrs Helper from Angie's List, and wanted to get the job done in the next two weeks. After the job began, each night John called and asked how it looked. He always cared for any issues we hd the following day. When they were done, they cleaned everything up and left a note on how to contact them if we had any issues.

Calls where returned in a timely manner and work was scheduled in a reasonable amount of time. The installer was friendly and on time. The work area was left clean. Will work with them again. The new doors look fantastic.
