They came out quickly and did a thorough analysis of the problem. It was obvious that they could not reach the piece that needed to be soldered without spending a good deal of money. Stan recommended I just cap it off if we didn't really need the faucet. I appreciated his honesty and his willingness to expalin all options. He was not going to even charge me and I insisted on giving him $25 for coming out.

Work went smoothly. The job was done in under 2 hours. Stan also showed me, after he had the toilet pulled up, why the leak was occurring. Kept me informed of what he would be doing the whole time. He also arrived with a drop cloth to lay on the bathroom floor, so any mess was at a minimum, and cleanup was super!

Stan was very prompt in calling back after I left a voice mail requesting his assistance. Due to plenty of work due to recent flooding he was not able to come until two days later, which was perfectly fine for us. He and his son arrived on time and were thorough, courteous, and very helpful.

Like described above, he fit me in on the same day as I called. Even though it was raining and he was busy with sump pumps. He asked me about the repairs he made a few months ago. He remembered where everything was. The bathroom was a mess but he said it was ok. My daughter was supposed to clean it up for him, but there were clothes all over the small bathroom.

The toilet installation went very smoothly and the work was done very neatly and correctly. After a late lunch, Stan and Matt returned to examine our sump pump and provided very helpful advice. The water-heater installation was outstanding in particular. Stan and Matt added extra duct tape to reduce any carbon monoxide emissions and replaced missing screws. They repositioned the duct work so that it no longer contacted our Aprilair humidifier. They also instructed us on safe operation of the water heater. Furthermore, Stan pointed out that our Aprilair humidifier was not working correctly and was leaking. In addition, Stan and Matt extended the piping from the water heater into the overflow drain in the floor to help avoid possible flooding. These extra touches were performed at no additional charge. Stan and Matt do meticulous work and are very neat, clean, friendly, polite. Outstanding quality and service all around. We highly recommend them.

My pipes in the garage froze and burst in the recent cold spell. I called Halan and they were unable to send someone out that day, however, they called me back later in the afternoon to be sure that I had found someone to do the work. ($300)

There was water dripping from the ceiling in the room below the master bathroom. The spot seemed to be directly under the toilet. Stan removed the toilet and found that it was not sitting flush (pardon the pun) on the floor drain due to the fact that the floor tile was not correctly installed by the previous owners to our house when they rehabbed the bathroom. The tile created a gap between the toilet and the drain. He chipped away some of the floor tile to get the toilet to sit better on the floor and installed 3 wax rings to fill the gap. After that, he caulked around the base of the toilet. I noticed the problem during the weekend before Thanksgiving and Stan and his son were able to come out the day before the big family dinner and fix the problem.

Total price with kitchen faucet $497. Were here within the week, on time. Called back next day after message left to set up appointment. Courteous, efficient with work, left areas clean. I have never used them before, but would recommend. I have not had plumbing done before and was a little surprised at the cost, but he told me gave me an estimate up front over the phone and actual cost was somewhat less.

We were out of town so our son called and left a message and then received a call back the next day. He then set an appointment in which Stan showed up, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. It took about an hour and a half.

I called Stan after reading some of the great reviews of his work. I mentioned the problem on the phone that our dishwasher seemed to be filling with some of the dirty water from the kitchen sink and we needed one bathtub drain cleaned. He gave me the cost estimate on the phone. We set a date/time within the week for an appointment and he mentioned he would be at our home within a 15 minute window (not a three hour window like some companies). Stan and his assistant were on time. He was very professional and determined that we needed to re-route the discharge from the dishwasher. Stan clearly explained the problem and how to fix it. He answered ALL the questions we had and gave specific & concrete examples. The second problem was our master bathtub drain. He also cleaned another drain after we asked. Despite the addition of the second drain, his estimate was right on. We were pleased with his work, the cost and his professionalism. Since this job, we have called him for other jobs.

This was the first time we used this company and we found them on Angie's List. We had a good experience with them. The man that came was pleasant and got the job done just fine. He was happy to answer my questions. We have used other plumbers in the past and the bill was shockingly high. I was happy to see that this bill was reasonable.

Was surfing Angie's List early Saturday morning, looking for a plumber. Halan's had such postive reviews, I decided to send them an email. I described my problem, included my cell phone and said that a call on Monday would be fine...not an urgent matter. I got my call Monday morning, along with a prompt estimate and an appointment. Stan and his associate arrived right on time, completed the work quickly and neatly. It was $300, and comparable to a prior estimate by another source. I highly recommended Halan Plumbing.

Stan Halan was very polite and fixed everything in a very timely manor. Even things I hadn't told him about on the phone. When he came back to fix the outside spigot he checked the repair on the sewer pipe and that was not leaking.

He did a wonderful job. He did work for us that someone else told us wasn't possible. He was clean, efficient and courteous.

Stan Halan responded - "The cost for an estimate/ diagnose charge is $85., and then we'd take it from there." I responded that if the estimate is not free, forget it. Stan responded, "Yes... forget you is right." My ratings of this company says it all.

Stan had given us a verbal quote based on my description over the phone. I knew in advance that the repair required that he access the valve through an internal wall, which complicated the work effort a bit, and would leave a hole in my living room wall when he was completed. The copper pipe was a routine job that was easy to access and repair. I scheduled the work for a specific date and time. He arrived when he said he would and checked everything out with me prior to proceeding with the work. He completed the job as expected and kept the hole in my living room wall as small as he could (thankfully!). He suggested I put in an access panel for future access which I did a day later. Their work was very professional and completed with high quality. The areas were left neat and clean when done. I was very happy with the job.

Stan returned my call promptly, arrived right on time, did the work quickly and cleaned up after himself. The toilet works fine now.

Stan quoted me an estimate over the phone, after asking me several questions regarding what would be required, when I scheduled the work and that's what I paid. He called the morning of the appointment to confirm arrival time and showed up right at the beginning of the 1 hour window he quoted me. He did the job quickly and even did a little extra making sure all my gas appliances were functioning again after he'd finished.

I called on short notice and they called back in a few hours. They were all booked up, but they were kind enough to call me back with the name of another company that they could recommend. I contacted that company and the work was finished in the time that I needed it for.

We left a message for Stan on Saturday and told him about the problem and that it wasn't an emergency. He called at 9am on Monday and was here at 10:30am the same day. He and his son replaced the spigot that had broken off in about 35-40 minutes and cleaned up after themselves. The actual charge was less than the estimate. Excellent job!

Called Halan at 7 am on a Monday, & they returned the call within an hour & were at my house in 3 hours to repair the valve.

Stan returned our call very quickly. He was polite and prompt. He made a quick assessment of the job and suggested we try to fix the shower faucets before replacing. Once we agreed he started right on it and while it took longer than he may have planned he made it his mission to get the job done right. Work was well done and priced fairly.

I called the office and left a message telling them about the frozen pipe. Stan called back the same day and came over that day. He took care of the frozen pipe and check the other pumps for us.
