They were very personable and very professional. They were very responsive too and put me on schedule right away. They had great expertise and it was clear that they knew what they were doing. They gave me some great advice about where to get the cheapest marine battery. They said they could get it for me but that it would be more expensive and recommended that I take some other measures to save some money. They did a great job overall.

He is a very honest fellow and he always warns you before you do any plumbing. He wasn't expecting to re-seal the toilets but he did it while he was there and even re-installed some parts without charge.

Mr. Halan and his son did an outstanding job. He was on time, got right to work, cleaned up and we are more than pleased with his work.

Excellent: Diagnosed vent pipe leak in attic: this included getting on the roof and using a hose to find the leak. Vent was not properly connected at time of construction or possibly poorly fixed by previous owner. Mr Halan and his son are a pleasure to work with, reliable, clean up after themselves. He gave a one year warranty if the leak comes back and I believe a 90 day warranty on toilet installation. Will definitely use again for any plumbing needs.

I contacted the plumber about a toilet that was not functioning properly. His advice was to replace rather thn repair the toilet. We decided he was right and we purchased the toilet and called him back to come to replace it. He came in just a day or two. He was very friendly and professional. I was pleased.

I was having a problem with low hot water pressure in my master bath shower but pressure was good elsewhere in the house. Stan cleaned out the pipe leading to the hot water side of the shower which improved things greatly. After that, he suggested that he look at the main hot water output pipe from the hot water heater. It turns out that was pretty clogged too and he discovered a poor connection job by whoever installed the hot water heater before we owned the house. Stan replaced some the affected parts and now the hot water flows much better throughout the house. The washing machine now fills up in about half the time it used to and I don't have to wait 5 minutes for the hot water to reach the shower in the morning.

The leak was bad enough that I needed a plumber the same day because I had to turn the water off at the main. Stan and his son arrived the same afternoon I called at exactly at the time they said they would. They put cloths on the carpet to protect it. They explained everything as they were figuring out where the leak was coming from and what they would need to do to fix it. And they cleaned up after they finished. They did good work. I couldn't have been more pleased from start to finish. I recommend them without hesitation.

Stan and his staff were courteous, on time, and explained what they were doing. Cost of work matched over-the-phone estimate (which was a loose estimate since they of course didn't know exactly what the cause of the trouble was until they got to our home). After going through two other plumbing companies that we felt "taken" by, I very carefully reviewed all the comments about this company before calling. We were very satisfied with the experience.

We noticed our basement toilet did not flush well -- very sluggish. Significant plunging did not improve it. A couple of days later, we happened to walk into the sump pump room and saw that some sewage was coming out of a pipe in the floor. The whole floor was covered with this dirty water. We called Stan Halan late last evening (Friday) and left a message on his answering machine. He called first thing the next morning and asked about the situation. Stan surmised that our injector pump was the problem. He stated that, if he was correct, we would need a new pump. He told us what the cost would be if this turned out to be the case. Stan told us he'd be out to our home by 10 a.m. that morning. Stan and Matthew arrived promptly and took a look at the situaion. He told us what the problem was: Our injection pump was not operating properly. He explained that this is the pump that handles plumbing in the basement -- toilets, sinks, showers, etc. All drainage from this plumbing has to get pumped up into the home drainage system in order to drain properly. Most basement sinks and bathrooms work like this. Stan went onto explain that the pump's switch wasn't working. The switch itself could be replaced. However, because this injector pump was already 6 years old, he recommended a new one. This way, we would have longer-term success with the basement plumbing. We agreed. Stan had had the foresight to put a new injector pump into his truck "just in case." This is because Stan has excellent knowledge and extensive experience with plumbing and had made an educated "guess." Stan and Matthew laid out a clean, thick cloth to protect our floor from the garage to the basement door. They brought in the new pump and installed the new pump within an hour. We had previously cleaned the floor with bleach and water, and Stan and Matthew made sure the area was just as clean as before. We checked the system by flushing the toilet, running the faucets, etc. It works fine.

Stan promptly returned my call and was able to come for my repair later that day. He and his assistant were on time, did the job quickly and cleaned up after themselves. I called Stan because I had used his service previously and was impressed and pleased.

They (father and son) arrived on time and were very friendly and professional. They used tarps on the floor to insure no dirt was tracked into the house. After the work was comleted, I called them with a few questions and they returned my call very quickly and were very helpful in answering my questions. They gave me a 90 day warranty on the work and a 1 year warrantly on the pump. I plan on using them in the near future to replace some faucets. etc.

Response time was excellent and the crew showed up on time, was very professional and completed the job to my satisfaction.

A section of one of the brass pipe developed several small holes that I had patched with plumber's putty. However this last one was a BIG hole. Stan came out shortly after I called and determined what had to be done. He said my patch would be okay over the weekend and he would come early the next week to do the repair. They arrived right on time on Tuesday and spent the entire morning dealing with the problem - and it wasn't easy. They cleaned up and disposed of all the old stuff.

Very courteous, prompt, professional, trustworthy. Compared to other phone quotes, he took me seriously and sincerely wanted to earn my business. Very polite, flexible, punctual. Father and (adult) son team. Took every precaution to meet our needs, spectacular job cleaning up, very thorough. Very honest company and I had no concerns. Came in cheaper than Roto Rooter, as well as two other local plumbers. Stressed that his business is successful because of good referrals and word of mouth.

Everything went excellently. The father and son team arrived earlier then expected (but they were not unexpected). Both were extremely polite and willing to answer all of my questions. When the work was completed, Mr. Halan sat down with me and patiently explained what was done.

It is a father and son run company. They were very responsive and out the same day we called them, and were very professional. They assessed the problem and called me to see what the cause was. They had all the parts that were necessary and fixed it in an hour, and did a great job. Their price was reasonable.

Followed up with calls prior to his vacation and after to be sure we comfortable with the scheduled date and time. Arrived on time and did a professional install in a timely manner. He'll give a small discount to Angieslist subscribers. He will point out any issues as I had a small one and I would recommend Stan for this type of service.

Our basement drain clogged, and puddle of water on floor. I called Mr. Halan (he had done some work for me previously, and I had been very happy with him, his work, and the reasonable cost). He asked me to check a few things, made a few suggestions, and I was able to correct the problem. This was 3 days ago, and so far the problem has not re-occurred. I appreciate his willingness to troubleshoot in advance of a service call.This time I didn't need him to come out, but he'll be the only one I'll call when I need someone to come out here.

I called them on a Monday/Tuesday Mr. Halan called me right back and set up Thursday of that same week at 2:00 p.m., quoted me a price. He and his son were in the neighborhood earlier than 2:00 on Thursday, gave me a call to see if they could come earlier which I said was fine and they arrived around 11:30 and were done by 1:00 pm. As they were finishing the job, the electrical for the disposal was not correct, so they went to purchase an electrical box and redid the wiring for me - which I greatly appreciated. The new disposal works like a charm. Great Job, efficient, professional - I would recommend

Excellent! Faucet is over 20 yrs. old and now works beautifully! Stan was professional, reasonable, efficient, on time for appt., only took 30 min., nice fellow. Gave us discount due to Angies' List, and first-time customer. I would definitely use him again for plumbing service.

They were here very quickly, performed the job quickly and cleanly and explained to me issues with my current toilet that could be causing the problems with clogging.

Option of replacing the faucet or seeing if the problem could be resolved by disassembling (lower cost) were explained. The problem was corrected by taking it apart and lubricating the spring, which was stuck.

I called at 10:30am and they were at my house by 11:30am - very fast service! They quickly fixed the problem. They were very courteous and friendly, not pushy. He also gave me an estimate on 2 different types of back-up sump pumps, as well as replacing the 10 year old pump I currently have and answered all of my questions. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
