Scheduled carpet cleaning and the cleaning of two rugs. Was initially told their normal turnaround for rugs was 7 to 10 days, but when I told them that I would go somewhere else because I needed the rugs back in 4 days, I was told they would be done in 4 days. This was confirmed when the worker came out to clean the carpets and pick up the rugs - therefore I allowed him to take the rugs. When I called to find out why the rugs weren't ready I was told that they couldn't come out until the following week. I then asked to talked to the manger, but was transferred to 3 more receptionists before being allowed to talk to the manager. The manager, Tim, was extremely rude and combative and said that there was no way someone told me the rugs would be done in 4 days (i.e. I was lying to him). Tim said he could only deliver them between 9 and 11 despite arrangements made with the company, and would not allow for pickup at their facility. I told him that I was an attorney and regularly had court in the mornings, so this delivery window he proposed would not work for me. He became extremely agitated, almost manic, and claimed I was trying to "throw my weight around." This as he continued to state that it was impossible that anyone told me the rugs would be completed within the timeframe I had been promised. I told him that I could be around any time after 10 AM on Saturday, but he wouldn t make any accommodation despite the promises made by the company representatives. He would not make any accomodation, and seemed content to hold on to the rugs, having already cashed the check. I have seen posts about the company on other websites that were not flattering, but Tim took it way too far. I would recommend against ever using them and would not have used them if I had not been promised the rugs would be done in time (which they were not). Also (although not the source of my complaint), the worker was supposed to show up with the duct cleaning equipment, but didn't have necessary materials to block off the vents to spray a disinfectant. At least he was honest that he didn t have everything with him, but I was told that the worker would have all the equipment to do duct cleaning. I requested that the owner call me, but I don t foresee that happening. There is something very shady to me about this company, and I will take my business elsewhere next time.
Description of Work: The work was to include cleaning 2 bedroom carpets, 2 rugs (to be cleaned within 4 days per agreement), and potentially duct cleaning (all necessary equipment was going to be there per agreement).
